Works easily for any DSLR lens cap
Works easily for any DSLR lens cap. Elastic fits over lens easily and sticky disk holds fast to the cap.

Great!
Works great for any lens, since it is elastic. Great for all of us to help insure we keep our lens caps.

It is a keeper.
It is the first 600mm lens that can be really hand-held which is a selling point to hobbyists. It just weights 2 lbs and creats a good balance on my Canon RP camera. The OS system works well. I can understand why this is not a pro lens since STM and mirrorless focus are not fast enough and F11 is too dim for pros. The lens is not weather-proved either. But these applications are not mission critical for most bird-hobbists. If you need a lens you can carry effortlessly from your neck on a sunny day and leave your tripod behind, this is the lens for you. It works OK when it is cloudy. But ISO over 10,000 will introduce some visible noise and lower sharpness. On a sunny day, when ISO is below 1000, Canon Digic 8 processor gives completely noise free full-frame images which blows you away in sharpness. That's why I keep it. On low light conditions, a hobbist like me would not try to shoot birds and will carry other fast weather-sealed lenses. I like the big focus ring and in-viewfinder focal distance display which really help to manual focus and supplement the slow AF. It works and no stressed muscles anywhere makes the hobby more enjoyable than laboring. To give another AF tip after a few days of use, set your camera to servo AF instead of single-shot AF will be a lot faster on a STM long lens like this. This will drain battery faster so get a couple of more batteries.

A Great Value!
I was looking to get into an action camera for documenting some of my dual sport trips and my research led me to this one. Had money not been a factor, I'm sure I would have just went with the latest GoPro and been done. However, I believe a few things that changed that. The first is that I'm a first time action camera owner and imagine that my camera skills and riding may not match up to the top of the line camera. In my mind, I'm going to get some really epic videos of me blasting up a rocky cliff or spashing thru a deep creek but reality will likely be different and I don't need to drop $300+ to find out. Next is that I'm not comfortable hanging $300+ off of my helmet with nothing but sticky tape. I was riding with guy that had his let go in front of me and he had no idea until we stopped next and I handed it to him.To be fair, I haven't had the time to really get much time in with my new camera. I can't really comment on battery life, but I gave it a 4 as it came with 2 batteries. I can update once I get some more time in with it. I was able to try it out for a while. I tried video with and without the EIS on and I was very impressed with this feature and would not consider using it without. I also had no issues using the RF with the included remote even though it seemed the remote felt kind of cheap. I downloaded the AKASO DV app and had no problems using it to run the camera and see the view.I had one issue that I wanted to talk over with AKASO so I emailed them(this was what they stated on their website would get the best results). I received correspondence very quickly. The problem is that the correspondence was not of any value to me. I wanted to use the camera on my helmet and liked the idea of recording sound, thus I wouldn't want to use the waterproof case as I know it really degrades the sound recording ability so I asked how to protect the camera lens and still record sound. Their answer was to "protect the lens so it does not get scratched" or to "purchase some type of circular lens cover". I asked them to recommend a product....they aren't aware of one. They told me to DIY,... purchase a cell phone cover and cut a circle with a glass cutting knife and place on my lens. Obviously the the customer service representative isn't aware that their lens is convex and a flat DIY lens wouldn't work. I think I'll buy a 2nd waterproof case for about $10, then mill it out so it's just a skeleton case and the microphone is open but the lens would be covered.Overall, I would recommend the purchase.

Good ball head!
UPDATED: My problem with sinking was user error. I did not tighten the thumb screw on the camera plate enough. If you make sure the thumbscrew is tight on the camera plate this thing easily holds plenty of weight. Tested shooting vertical with the plate mounted to camera (not to the tripod collar on the lens) with a 70-200 f/2.8 on camera and it was solid. This is about the most extreme weight most users will put this thing through. The main adjustment knob did still leak fluid when new though, which was annoying but didn’t seem to effect functionality. I am now happy with this product and will keep it. OLD REVIEW: The main adjustment knob leaked fluid everywhere. Also, the ball head did not support my camera when shooting vertical. This was a Fuji XT3 with a Canon 100mm macro. The lens started nosediving the moment I took my hands off no matter how much I tightened the knob. This ball head couldn’t support approx 3 lbs when it claims to support 26 lbs.
