Light, well made tripod with removable ball head
Very impressed with the quality of this tripod and its lightness. It has a ball head but that can be removed if necessary and an alternative head added. I have added a Gimbal head mount to it and this massively enhanced it for my needs with a large SLR camera and lens.The tripod is well made and constructed. It has a carry bag with it.Ive used the ball mount and found that fluid and easy to use.This tripod is a good investment and is good value for money.

Excellent compact and lightweight tripod for hikin
Very solid for its weight. The leg lever locks work well. The center post and ball head can be inserted upside down to put the camera close to the ground. Ball head works well for outdoor use, where the ground is not level. Good fitting case fits into a knapsack for hiking. This is not a full size tripod, but is big enough to work. A minimalist tripod.

Good starter ball head for the price.
This tripod head is a great entry level tripod head for the price. It is the only one I found that has a handle to use it like a pan head can be used as a pan head, decent amount of stiffness when panning. The plate on the head is removable and the knobs are rubberized.You will need a 1/4” 20 to 3/8” screw adapter if you are going to thread this onto a standard tripod screw (1/4” 20).You are not going to get a better head than this one for under $30. As long as this is priced below $30 I would recommend it. For $60 you can find an entry level prosumer grade ball head.This one is an great substitute if you don’t have $60 for a mini pan/tilt tripod ball head.

Perfectly adequate and surprisingly strong.
Low profile, Arca compatible tripod ball head.I hunted all over for a ball head that would work with my slider. It holds what I need it to and does it consistently.

Perfect item
Perfectly fit to my Rollei Fotopro T7 ball head (load capacity 34 kg) and a Jobu replacement foot for Sigma 150-600 Sport. Highly recommended to save a lot of money if you have a strong ball head instead of buying a complete gimbal head (+ a tripod if you do not want to change heads on your existing tripod). Unfortunately SK-100 is available quite seldom in Europe because not so many dealers deal with Wimberley.

Love the Oben Ball Head
I have a device called a Platypod, used in place of a traditional tripod, and the Oben Ball Head worked perfectly with it.

GOOD QUALITY
I recently bought a travel tripod rated to hold 26 lbs. However, I did not like the ball head that came with the set. I bought this to replace the head, and I am glad that I did. Even though, the other ball head was from a reputable tripod manufacture, this ball head seemed more sturdy and easier to operate. The action is smooth and feels more secure than the other ball head. Reasonable price for good quality ball head. This is my second ball head from Oben, and I highly recommend them.
