A real workhorse of a lens for me.
Like many others, this was one of the first lenses I purchased as an upgrade to my Canon 18-55mm kit lens. While the fixed 50mm focal length can feel restricting at first, I've found, overtime, that this prime lens is more often than not my go to. I own a Canon 24mm pancake lens as well, and while I appreciate the wider field of view it provides when shooting landscapes/cityscapes, I find that the 24mm is often too wide, making it very difficult to establish any sense of a primary subject. I find the 50mm to be just right for the majority of my shots. I shoot a lot of long exposure night time cityscapes and find that this lens performs exceptionally in low light conditions.Image quality is excellent as far as I can tell. Autofocus is certainly not lightning fast, but it does the job. Build quality feels rather plastic-y (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5), but for the price I don't mind at all. Overall, I really do love my nifty-fifty and understand exactly why it is considered a staple lens for many photographers.

It Works
It works pretty good. It's made by Tiffen. It is 67mm. It is a circular polarizer filter. I like it.

and I'm really satisfied with it
Used as a protective filter for my Canon 10-22mm USM, and I'm really satisfied with it.

Very impressed with the overall quality-to-price r
I was going to get a Polaroid version but the price for postage was almost as much as the filter. So happy I stumbled upon this one! It's worth mentioning that this filter is perfect for a wide-angle lens (It works great with my Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm F2.8), since the outer diameter is much larger than the inner diameter (on the 58mm filter I bought anyway) and that minimises vignetting. I can't get the exact outer measurement but it's somewhere in the 65mm range and I wouldn't recommend stacking an extra filter on the end of this anyway. If you need even more ND reduction, put a filter before it instead. The Color cast is minimal, and can easily be tuned on post if you shoot in RAW, or even calibrated with the camera's "white balance" before shooting. Even though I can see *very slight* ripples in the glass when light reflects off it, I see zero distortion on the captured image. Build quality is great, feels sturdy and is well machined.

"The fantastic plastic" An amazing lens for those
"The fantastic plastic" An amazing lens for those shots where you want to achieve that artistic bokeh effect. The images are rich, vibrant and colorful; it's a great lens purchase. Something every beginner should consider buying after the kit and their generic lens. Its also one of those learning moments where the fact it's a straight 50mm lens means *you* have to move rather than having the benefit of any zoom. Its great, and I think essentially to anyone with a passion for photography.

Awesome Camera, Questionable Sale
I really love this camera, and at the 2-2.5k USD price point I think it is the best out there. I usually jump between Nikon and Sony, so this felt like an awesome blend of the two (with the autofocus being the only quality that's worse than both of the others). Overall, for narrative filmmaking, travel filmmaking, vlogging that doesn't challenge the autofocus with fast-changing lighting or subjects, general photography (except for maybe sports unless you're okay with 6K Photo burst) this is an amazing all-rounder. The kit lens is also super versatile. The 20mm is awesome for vlogging, architecture, and some landscape work, while 60mm is decent enough for some light portraiture and compression. I paired this with the newer 85mm 1.8 to satisfy some low-light, bokeh and telephoto gaps that the kit lens leaves. I think an S5 + 20-60mm, 85mm 1.8 (and/or 35/50mm 1.8), and 70-300mm would be a perfect combo for most hybrid shooters that don't require faster zooms for sports/weddings/other high-pressure and non-repeatable moments. This issue: I thought I purchased a new camera, but the package doesn't come with sealing so there's no way to really tell, but I found that my 20-60mm Lens came with the wrong model lens cap and the rear lens cap has some subtle scratches on it. It seems like the optics are pristine and the camera looked and worked equally fantastic, but when you pay for a new product (even if it was on sale at the time) you expect to have an unused product. I'm fine with dinged up, scratched and beat gear, but I'd much prefer to be the one to run it through the mud and to at least not pay a "new" price for someone else's mistakes.Still a wonderful camera and I will either re-order or wait for a successor, because this is really something special.

Holy Wowzers
This telescope is amazing! Finally took it out on a clear night in Florida, I checked out Jupiter and I was astonished. The detail in a slightly light polluted sky. I was blown away. I would suggest getting a barlow lens, i went with the 3x multiplier and i decided to also get a zoom lens(8mm-23mm). I am extremely happy with this telescope, it was my 1st investment in one since my dad bought me one when i was little. Oh yeah, get a moon filter too, your eyes will appreciate it.

This is a great lens! Perhaps it is an overkill on my Canon 7D but the quality of build, stability of IS and precision of zoom is outstanding! I am yet to compare the sharpness of this lens compared to my Canon 50mm 1.4 but the first results are promising. I also particularly like the zoom lock feature and the fact that aperture stays fixed (e.g. 4f) no matter how I zoom, compared to the kit lens.Depending on the use, the downside can be its size and weight. It matches well with the clunkiness of my 7D.
