Love this, I have a medium size SLIK tripod and this device works very on top of this for stable selfie pics with family!I highly recommend this, it is adjustable for different cell phones!

I have a SLIK PRO 700 tripod which has not disappointed and I do like the SLIK tripod very much. I bought the Vanguard Alta Pro264 AT with ball head because the central column can be adjusted through various angles for MACRO photography and for difficult to take cityscape or Landscape shots, which I could not with the SLIK.This tripod has given me more flexibility in my photography. I have not been disappointed.It is sturdy,elegant and well made.Recently, I attached an arca swiss compatible quick release plate (which I bought for less $13), so I can use a universal L-plate on the tripod.This gives me more flexibility for both vertical and horizontal shots. I wish this tripod's quick release plate is arca swiss compatible.This is my only complaint but will not take away a star from my review.The weight has not been an issue to me as it is lighter than the SLIK. It is sturdy and it has carried my heaviest tools well, i.e a Tamron 150-600mm , Kenko 2.0X converter ,filters and a professional full frame canon body.When traveling by air , I have carried it in my main luggage which goes into the main cargo section but my lens and camera body are in my carry on luggage. The main luggage that contains the tripod and that goes into the cargo section has not exceeded the 50Ibs maximum weight allowed for cargo despite packing for 5 - 7 days trip worth of clothings, underwear and some extras.I am so impressed with the tripod that I looked at and bought the stand alone pistol grip ball head GH-300 T. Which is also another well made product.I recommend this tripod to those looking for : (1) A sturdy professional grade tripod. (2) That will not break the bank. (3) Give you that flexibility you need to enhance your photographic skills and bring your imaginations to reality.Most photographers who do not carry a tripod, do not because they see a tripod as a burden. A good tripod should not only be sturdy and light but should bring out your enthusiasm to carry it with you. Knowing and understanding that it is a necessary fun tool that gives you more flexibility to enhance your creativity, surely brings out that extra enthusiasm or motivation.This tripod does that and it is the reason I carry it and recommend it to you.

I just replaced the head on my SLIK tripod with this one. It is smooth as butter. Very nice, easy enough to attach. No complaints. I can't wait to get it out in the field.I was a Manfrotto tripod and head shooter, but I loaned my Manny to a family member and never got it back; in order to make up for that transgression, the same person got me the the SLIK as a fathers day gift. Yes, the Slik is nice, but not as much as my Manny. However, after putting this head on the Slik tripod, it is so much better!Super smooth. Excellent adjustments. Levels are great just to double check. I've tested it with my D800 and a 70-200 2.8 and there is no creep or drag. As I said, once I get it out in the field I'll update my review based upon actual performance and ease of use.But, so far so good. For being a Chinese product (which I'm usually loathe to purchase) it's pretty darn good quality.

Since using my smart phone for picture taking more often, I wanted something to fit securely to my Velbon Tracer 300 tripod. This little device fit the bill nicely. It's mostly plastic construction - metal threads - feels sturdy in hand and is well made.The dual bracket design makes it possible to mount a phone/small tablet up to 4 inches (10.16cm, 101.6mm) wide without wiggle. The threads are universal so should fit most tripod bases. My tripod is lightweight so this adapter is an easy carry along. I keep the adapter boxed and slide both it and tripod (in its box) right into my SLIK Universal Medium Tripod Bag for Tripods up to 23", Black (see that review). Recommend. Thank you.

It's a good tripod for traveling, easy to carry. But if you have a big camera, I don't think it's a good choice

The tripod is very lightweight, portable and strong.

this has slightly better controls (hand crank lift, tool free quick release camera mount clip). Competitively priced also. Value for money inexpensive tripod.

Replaces old SLIK tripod of 35 yrs. Will see is this comes even close. For the price point, after several months of steady use, seems to be holding up well enough. Some of the adjustments seem a little clumsy but that may be due to lack of familiarity and work patterns compared to old tripod.
