very nice microphone, very good sound, low noise, good definition. not as sensitive as de big diaphragm microphones, so is very good for podcast or voice recording, not intended for singers or studio recording.

Amazing quality microphone. The sound is almost studio grade, and it even has three different recording settings (cardioid, cardioid -10db, and ominidirectional). I love the design too, with its compact swivel base that functions as a clip - to clip to your monitor, a desk stand, and a carrying method - when you swivel the mic into its clip (which fits well into the included carrying case). It uses standard Mini USB if you ever lose the cable, and it even has a hole to mount it to a microphone stand. It also has audio out functionality through the 3.5mm jack on the side, allowing you to hear both instant vocal feedback and, if you so choose, regular PC audio. It's also really tiny, and I can close my hand completely with it in my palm. I'm completely satisfied with the device and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a great mic.

The best practical microphone. It captures sounds well and it creates the least background noise issue. The latter was an issue for other USB microphones I bought and tested. For example, I stopped using a more expensive mic because it picks up too much of the background noise and I don't have time to figure out how to perfect the recording environment.

This little, yet powerful mic has quality that is unmatched for it's small size. It's smaller than my palm and it comes with a carrying case and USB cable. The only problem I find is that Samson should have made a small compartment on the case for the USB to be stored, it's kind of cumbersome to carry the mic and USB separately, nevertheless, it is a nice mic you will definitely enjoy not only for travel related use but for narrating videos on Youtube too!

A great mic for portable use. I use it for VOIP when traveling and I have nothing bad to say about it. The only thing I would even consider changing is I wish it's little carrying case could also hold the USB cable, which is a very picky thing to wish for.

The Samson Go Mic Portable USB Condenser is fantastic. I had to contact Samson when I couldn't get it to work and there is a glitch for Windows 10. They gave me a sequence to fix the issue and now the mic works great. I mean great. Here is the sequence for Windows 10:1. With the Go Mic plugged in, open the Device Manager (which is a list of all the hardware connected to the computer).2. Near the bottom will be the list of USB devices labeled "Universal Serial BUS Controllers". Press the plus icon to expand the list.3. In the list should be an item named "USB Composite Devices". If there is more than one we will need to look at each one individually with the following steps.4. Right click "USB Composite Devices" and select "Properties". This will open up a new dialog box.5.Click the "Details" tab.6. In the Details window there is a drop down menu called "Property". Click it and select "Hardware Ids".7. In the text box below the menu it will list the hardware devices that are using this driver. If it starts with USB VID17AO... then it is the driver we want to adjust. (If the VID number is different, close the window and look at any other items named "USB Composite Devices")8. Close the dialogue box and right-click the "USB Composite Device" again and select Uninstall.Unplug the Go Mic and plug it back in. The audio driver should reinstall and hopefully recognize the Go Mic as the audio input device.I also found the Go Mic set both the Playback and Record tabs to the Go Mic. I am using the speakers in my computer to playback so I had to switch the Playback tab back to the computer's speaker. Voila! BeautifulYou may encounter a big delay next time you power up your computer but I just worked with it until it came up. Not sure but I think I used the Windows key on the keyboard that may have been what brought up my laptop computer.

I am so impressed with this mic. When I saw it my heart sank because it was so small. It fitted in the palm of my hand with room to spare. I clipped it onto my macbook, plugged it in and recorded my self hypnosis session. I waited with baited breathe as I listened to the recording. It sounded good, really good. No echo and I was able to easily adjust the input sound so that it did not pick up me turning the pages of my script. Was ready to use one of those stocking covered gadgets to reduce the ssss noise but I didn't need it at all.I have to say that for the basic recording of voice that I do, this is an awesome little gadget. I feel happy enough with the quality to use my recordings on a website for sale as mp3 downloads.It comes with a handy little case to protect it and would fit in a laptop bag without taking up any extra room. It has a few different settings for the type of mic recording but I don't really get this so just left it on the setting it came adjusted too. The cable is the bulkiest bit but typical of any cable.I don't believe you will be disappointed.
