I would have rated 5 stars if the infinity hard stop worked like it does on Nikon cameras
Fits the lens and camera body tight and secure. Focuses beyond infinity which makes focusing a pain. I primarily bought this to use a 28mm Nikon AIs lens for landscape shots, most of which will be infinity focus. On my Nikon FE film camera, the infinity hard stop of the lens is true infinity focus which means there is no need to fine-tune the focus point as long as elements in the picture are beyond the minimum focus distance. Modern, canon lenses all focus beyond infinity as well, but with manual focus on a vintage Nikon lens, I have to use live view, 10x to focus before shooting. I plan to make a mark on the lens, so I can just use that instead of the hard stop. I would have rated 5 stars if the infinity hard stop worked like it does on Nikon cameras.

Worth the upgrade from the previous model
Definite improvement and worth it for me to upgrade my 50mm 1.8 II (aka plastic fantastic). You can search on youtube and get all sorts of reviews for this lens that will talk about construction, bokeh, focus speed, image quality, etc. The one thing they do not discuss and the one thing my old Canon 50 1.8 struggled with was focus accuracy. I'm talking about missed focus. I've been using the old version on my T4i for many uses, one of which is a portrait lens. I had many out-of-focus pictures. Understanding large apertures are more challenging to focus with such a narrow depth-of-field and these lenses are a bit soft wide open, but the OLD lens was clearly focussing in front or behind where it should have on about 40% of the shots taken. I am glad to find that the new lens does not suffer from this problem. Repeated shots with the new one are spot on. Combined with the other improvements (albeit minor) and the cost being what it is, It's worth upgrading from the old one and certainly worth it if you don't have a prime 50 in your bag.

and sound quality is wonderful.
It can take the camera a while to focus and re-focus if you move, but the image is very clear once it does, and sound quality is wonderful.

Worth the price
First time buying my own lens and I wasnt disappointed. I would recommend buying this lens as the focus is fantastic and so is the depth of field. Used this for my 3rd year short film for uni and the outcome was really good.
