Truly a plug and play camera. I was immediately impressed by the picture quality. The microphone works great as well. Not the greatest system to fit on top of your monitor, but it works ok.

Usually 1080p cams go for over 40 dollars but finding this one for this amount of good quality and only 25 dollars was honestly amazing, quality is really goof, though I will recommend to use your own microphone instead of the one the camera provides.

I needed a good camera and microphone for my new computer. This one was recommended by a friend. I am so pleased with this purchase. While there is another less expensive camera by this company, I would suggest that you spend the money. It is worth it.

The V50X is the best comparison to the GoPro hero 7 in my opinion. The V50X has all the same attributes and qualities minus a good microphone. The GoPro offers a much better microphone both out and in the case sound quality. The V50X has not the greatest sound quality or loudness out or in the waterproof case. However the picture quality and stabilization is the reason I bought this camera. my reasons for purchasing this camera were mainly for on-road use and video production. With video production you typically need a good microphone however I have found that simply speaking out and speaking louder is the fix. This doesn't bother me all that much but it's the only complaint I have about the V50X. I would recommend this camera to anyone but I would also let them know that the microphone on the camera is not that great. However I assume there is a microphone built for this camera now. As there is a place on the camera to plug in an external microphone, right next to the charge port.Maybe 50x came with a bunch of different mounting brackets that would include a floaty for water, many different types of brackets to mount it to your either helmet, side of your hema, the top of your helmet or the front of your helmet. This would be my on-road use. Periodically I plan to use this camera as a dash cam on long trips, as this camera provides a loop recording feature that allows you to record video but in small increments. You set the amount of minutes you wanted to record, which is up to 7 and then if you have not pushed any buttons to indicate the emergency recording, it erases all 7 minutes and starts all over. This is important to me as a buyer. And as far as sound quality is concerned, if you are to get into a crash, voices and the sound of crashes will definitely be loud enough for the camera to pick up. Overall I am very satisfied with the V50X. I made the purchase of the V50X with the understanding that the microphone was not all that great. Do your research and YouTube this camera, as many others have found this to be a very competitive price tag to the GoPro option.Ratings:I rated the V50X with four stars, this is due to the microphone not being as good as it could be.Five stars on image stabilization.Four stars on water resistance, because the waterproof case did fog up a little bit however I highly doubt this would damage the camera. This camera is great! I know there are many good cameras out there for PCs but for Macs, not many. I plugged this camera in and started to work immediately, no software needed. I recommend it for people that own a Mac computer that don't have an embedded camera on it and want to use it for skype. The microphone works great, no noise on the other end. It also has the ability to be moved and show the people you are connected with documents in your computer, your kid playing, the outdoors, etc, etc. It has also a very versatile stand that allows the camera to be placed anywhere, your desk, display, hanging somewhere...Enjoy!

My wife (Windows OS) and I (Mac OS) each use this camera for corporate business. Video quality/performance is excellent as is the microphone which means I no longer need to use a headset. You'll definitely want to download the companion software to adjust your image sizing and other fine tuning options.

Plug this into standard old USB port.Plug your mic into this. AND/ORPlug your wired headphones into this.Go to Sound in System Settings.No need to do anything.It will be there under Input and under Output.Choose either (or both).So, use iMac built-in mic plus your wired headphones.Or, use iMac speakers with your separate microphone (perhaps lapel mic)Or, use both your wired headphones and your new microphone.My experience is with version 13 of mac software - Ventura. I wonder if problems some have reported with iMac are because they are still on an older version.Excellent product. Great price

I found the camera easy to set up and I love that there is an option to charge via a wall outlet or your computer. The picture quality has been great and I have been impressed with the battery life so far. I like that the camera does not require internet connection for use, it is equipped with night vision, and has a microphone function so you can talk to your baby.
