Got this a couple weeks ago to use along side my portable projector. Got to admit for the price and size I really wasn't expecting much. Within minutes I had it set up and linked to my phone punching out some really quite astonishing sound quality and volume.Highly recommended for anyone needing a cheap but still effective mini speaker

Full disclosure - I have an Epson 3600e 1080p super bright projector in my basement set up for movies/sports etc. BUT I have wanted to be able to watch movies outside or when camping and didn't want to risk that projector outside - so i picked up this one from SHIMOR. Obviously it is not as bright as the Epson but it throws a nice picture ESPECIALLY when you consider it comes with a screen. Again the Epson has a better picture and more adjustments, but this projector is 15x cheaper.It has a simple focus control wheel and keystone wheel on the lens (no scrolling through menus to adjust) which is all you really need to set it up and start showing movies. This is probably what i like the most - a perfect picture is not what you are after with this price point. You are after plug and play and this projector gets you going quickly so the kids are not waiting around for you to get the movie going. Surprisingly, it has 2 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports. I hooked up my Roku stick, set it on the table in the back yard, hung the screen on the swingset in the back yard and we had movie night going. The picture is sharp and the built in speakers are definitely loud enough for outside use. I recommend the 'music' setting as it seems to push up the bass and that works better for movies. Overall, very happy with the package and the projector. It is lightweight which makes it great for travel but we will see how it holds up. If any issues pop up, I will update.

Really impressed with the image quality. The picture is clear and bright; and the images appear sharp. Even though I was not able to find the refresh rate, I had no issues streaming movies. The video playback is smooth without any lag. We have been using this projector during weekend family nights and it's very bright with all the lights off. The quality suffers as the ambient light gets brighter which is to be expected from a projector within this price range.The sound is good and it gets sufficiently loud, but I would invest in a quality soundbar or a surround sound system for a better quality experience. Overall, a great value for money and I couldn't be more happy with the purchase!

If you have started looking into creating a home theater, you know that picking a projector can be a daunting task. It is not at all as simple as pick a TV and throw it on a wall. You have to know your wall/screen size, the intended placement of the projector (both height and distance from said screen), and the brightness of the projector based on the needs of your room. What I found in my research is that BenQ makes some of the best DLP projectors - made to fit most rooms and distances while producing some of the best images on the market. And for the price - it only enhances that statement further.I bought the 2050a back in May 2018, after much back and forth over it and the 3050. I simply could not pass up the increased user adjustments, low input lag, and many dollars saved for a 4% reduction in an already impressive color accuracy that I will likely never ever be able to tell the difference. And I'm so glad I did, as this projector has been awesome. It was easy to mount and set up. I have it mounted on a Pearless PRG-UNV and paired with a 100" Elite Screen CineGrey 5D from about 8.75' and in a moderately light controlled room, the images are nothing short of spectacular.The 2050a has near perfect color calibration for the average consumer right out of the box (confirmed by using a well reviewed calibration disc), has no DLP rainbows, can project a massive, crisp 1080p image from a relatively short throw, has a 10% vertical lens shift, has both vertical and horizontal keystone adjustments, is whisper quiet, and has a dedicated 3D mode that is a astonishing to see in person (ie. we have fallen in love with it). If fact, I've yet to find one thing that I really don't like about the projector. Family movie night night has taken on a whole new meaning now.If your going to do a home theater and you have only a small space to work in, you really owe it to yourself to check out the BenQ line of projectors. If you are not ready for 4K, I'm not convinced you can find a better 1080p projector for the price than the 2050a. That said, If you are 4K ready and have to sources ready to feed a 4K projector, be on the lookout as the 2050a has a 4K short throw brother coming out very soon.

 This is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy. The picture quality is 100%, the sound is clear, I hooked my sound bar up to is and it was so easy. The directions are simple and easy to set up. The price that was giving for this projector is so reasonable. It connects to the Wi-Fi easily and you can watch any and everything from your fire stick. This is by far a great item.

Buying an item at this price point isn’t something we do often, but we just moved into a house with a big back yard and thought it would a lot of fun to set up a sheet and projector in the back for friend parties and movie nights with the kids. Our first two experiences have been magical - the projector even looks expensive. Lol The image quality is almost better than our TV inside, and the wifi works great. I’m surprised at how many things you can do on it, and yet with everything, it’s still easy to carry and move whenever you need to. My partner is even impressed with the sound quality. So glad we splurged!

Great portable projector!I travel a lot for work and am giving presentations weekly. The majority of the time I have been able to connect my laptop up to the customers projector. However, I was dragging a ton of cables with me for VGA, HDMI or other and sometimes ran into a situation where I could not get my laptop to sync with the customers TV or projector.This little guy stores in my backpack with my laptop without taking up much space. I purchased a cable with HDMI to the Apple Mini (video port on my laptop) which stores nicely in the case this projector came with. I've used it a few times. Resolution is clear and it can be seen well even with ambient light. I have a college that bought one of these a couple years ago that is very low in the Lumens category so you almost had to have the room blacked out to see any kind of quality image.Many of the products I sell are related to Medical Imaging so Image quality is a must have. This projector has impressed everyone where I've set it up. This mini projector works great! I have used it with a variety of media and am impressed with the quality. It connects easily with a document scanner and laptop and can be used for school presentations, or a laptop to watch movies. Document texts, charts and images are projected very clear. Videos on a USB drive project clearly and with ease. Connecting a laptop to the projector with the included HDMI cable is easy. Movies and shows stream easy. The picture is clear and easy to adjust. The color and brightness are very good. The remote control is easy to operate the settings regarding brightness, color, contrast and volume. Hooking a portable speaker up is easy and the volume control works well on the remote.The screen size ratio can also be adjusted and there is a zoom feature as well. The focus is simple to adjust by moving the manual dial on the top of the projector. I attached a few photos taken inside during the day with outdoor sunlight coming in through the window and the images and colors are well projected. I presently am projecting the images onto a dry erase white board.Overall this is a wonderful mini projector and a great value for the price. It is a great tool for family movie night or a school presentation. I highly recommend for anyone on a budget looking for a great quality mini projector.I contacted customer service regarding internal dust that was casting shadows on the images and they promptly responded with detailed instructions and step-by-step images on how to clean the internal lens. It was simple to do and removed the dust and shadows on the image projection. I am very happy with their customer service and their product.
