EDITofREVEIW: corrected a wordUPDATE(10/31/13): Still working and coming in handy a bit more during appointmentsUPDATE(09/09/13): Still working but don't use it as muchReview: 03-10-13This device is very lightweight, fits in the palm of your hand and came with head phones, a single ear phone to put into your ear, extension wires and clips, belt clip, neck lanyard, 2 batteries, manual, and of course a removable microphone.Sound is mono. You need a mono-to-stereo adapter to hear the sound on both sides of the headphones (adapter not included).The lanyard loops through one side of the talker while the microphone is on the other side. Thus, when you wear it around your neck the microphone is pointed down to the ground (device is upside down). When using the belt clip, the microphone will point upward. Testing was not done to see if this makes a difference but it seems that the microphone is omni-directional so I imagine it wouldn't matter.So far, we have only used this device a few times and for testing. It DOES help a person who can't hear well for normal speech. It seems to work better than very expensive hearing aids. The sound can be a little tinny depending where you set the dial that controls this but if that is what helps a person hear better, so be it. We even tried it using a telephone (designed for the hearing impaired). You can put the microphone up to the phone instead of your ear to hear a phone conversation much better. Just make sure you talk back into the correct part of the phone. This looks awkward but it does improve listing to phone calls.The one situation that didn't work as well as expected is with the microphone attached to the extension cord with the microphone placed next to a television speaker. The person could not understand the words people said from the television as it seems to pickup ALL other sounds from the TV (music, sound effects), including the normal sounds of the room your in. The other sounds mixed with the speech made it harder to understand the TV dialog.I believe the most effective use of this device is to only use it for day to day conversations with other people.PROS: It works well for conversation, lightweight, removable microphone, microphone extension cordCONS: Too pricey for what it is. Can you put a price on helping somebody hear better? Yes you can! In fact, hearing aid companies do it ALL the time. I guess CEOs want their bonuses each year.

I like this microphone however I had a problem with the first one. The first one I received had to go back because the computer did not recognize it, it would not connect. I tried everything to no avail. Ended up having to send the first one back and they promptly sent me a replacement. The replacement worked perfectly. Now if somebody would just invent some software for voice recognition that's not all flaky I would be in heaven.

Sounds amazing for only $40! Super light so it can fit on most mic arms. The stand included it very sturdy and nice feeling. Only problem is the included wire used falls out of the mic VERY easily. Actually to the point of barely tapping the mic, it will pop halfy out.I'd also recommend getting a wind shield and pop filter for the mic. Picks up P's really easily.

I've seen a few people on YouTube who use this mic and honestly I thought they had to use some level of sound editing to get the sound they did. Boy was I wrong. Plugged straight into the PS4, the sound it picks up is amazing. After a little bit of testing to find a good range to sit, my husband and I found that the mic is sensitive enough to pick us both up loud and clear, the audio stays crisp and doesn't scratch even when we're yelling, and it picks up our voices really well even with a little bit of distance between us and the mic! For the price this microphone is an amazing investment and anyone looking to get into YouTube would do very well to pick this up. We'll never go back to simple headset mics again after this!

Very good sound quality for the price! Using this as my gaming mic since I don't like using gaming headsets due to their lack of sound quality (I use Audeze LCD-X's for gaming). My online buddies were impressed at how clear and natural the sound was to their end when I've communicated with them. Just a simple plug and play with no drivers required. Couldn't be more impressed and highly recommended!

I ordered this mic as part of a set up to use for gaming and it has really nice audio quality and I think its an interesting and different design and shape and I love those about it, but it is a large inconvenience at times. I live with someone and we play side by side with other friends in skype and the mic is so sensitive that it often picks up both our voices so they can hear themselves through my mic, which would easily be solvable by putting the mic closer to me and lowering the sensitivity but microsoft and skype are currently having a bug issue where it keeps automatically adjusting my sensitivity to 100 and its very annoying. Its not the microphone's fault of course, but since it picks up background noise fairly well i still have to have it close to me and its stand takes up a large amount of space on my mouse mat and its very difficult to play with and unfortunately due to my desk design, i cannot use a mic arm stand.Of course, these are just my personal problems I have had with the mic, and it is a wonderful microphone and it was definitely worth the money, it just definitely would benefit better with a mic arm stand by far, and I bought the iCE version not realizing it wasn't the one that had interchangeable recording settings.. But still I have kept it because I know that once this stupid bug is fixed and I get a different desk it will thrive well. (:

This product is absolutely fantastic, well worth the money. The microphone quality is really good too. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to get into streaming or for general usage like zoom meetings.
