Free t.v. for me! :0)
I'm so excited, I finally have t.v. again! I just happened to see an antenna while visiting a local Target and thought I would give it a try. The one I bought for $14.99 worked ok, but I only got 7 channels and it broke after 1 week useage. I decided to do some research on antennas and found that this one had great ratings AND there was a deal on Amazon to buy 2 for the price of one. $13.99 a piece, awesome! Installation was super easy and now I get 30 channels including all of the popular local networks. No cable bills, yay!!!

Can't go wrong for the price
It does everything I need it to do for a fraction of the cost of the big boys. Great sound and comfort.

B.A.S.I.C.
Which is all I wanted. It holds my camera and points it at what I want it to without any motion. Perfect. These version is cheap, light, and adjustable. If you need a tripod and you're not a professional or just need to capture some home content, this does the job.

For what it is, it's not bad
I used to be a professional photographer (weddings/portraits), so I'm fond of my old Bogen tripod. It's built like a tank, but weighs almost as much. I remember lugging it out to the beach to do portraits. Comparing this Opteka tripod to that is really comparing apples to oranges. While this tripod doesn't have the strength of any real prosumer tripod, it's not bad and has a few features. One of my favorite is the quick release plate. You can disconnect this and attach it to your camera. This eliminates the need to connect two bulky pieces (camera & tripod) out in the field. You can have the plate pre-installed on your camera and then quickly and easily attach it to the tripod when needed. It's not tall enough to allow an adult to look through the camera viewfinder while standing. You're going to have to bend over. Not a deal breaker, but I wouldn't want to have to do it a lot while waiting for an eagle to return to it's nest. The flip side to this is that it's small and light. Packed in the case, it's only about 16" long. And if I wanted to take a tripod on a kayak trip, this would beat the pants off my old Bogen every time.It doesn't include a pan bar. I'd find this pretty annoying when trying to fine tune the pan/tilt.And while I don't personally have a use for it, it can be converted to a mono-pod, which would certainly be handy to some.
