Akaso or nothing

Nothing but the truth...
These monitors speak the whole truth of what you're playing and listening to, which is exactly what you want in a near field monitor. No added sweeteners to tickle your ears with things that aren't in your mix. You can adjust the bass & treble on the rear panel, but the default settings sound great as is. You can purchase an optional $200 subwoofer if you want the type of bass that will peel the paint, but most will find it unnecessary. The rear controller knobs lock in place for the default setting, which is nice so you don't have to guess when adjusting. I'm playing these thru my Scarlett audio interface & Korg keyboard. I combine a lot of VST midi instruments so hearing my layers accurately is important. Every note is crisp, clean & crystal clear. Don't be fooled by their smallish appearance. These bad boys can fill the room. I normally listen at 50% volume level, even less if using headphones. You can't beat the E3.5 for the overall performance & build quality, especially given the $100 price point. Completely happy camper here. Buy these, you'll thank yourself you did.

Extremely light, but sturdily built. And comfortable, although i did switch out the pads for brainwavz replacements, which made the feel much better. Before you buy this headphone, you should know your not going to get tons of bass, so if thats what you want, you should keep looking. What you will get is detailed highs, good mids, and bass that only shows through when it should. This is the way music should be listened to, nothing added and nothing taken away.

Good for the job.
Plug-n-go with Linux and Pulseaudio.OK sound, good enough for music listening and game playing - nothing impressive, but it is a low cost addon.I use this to power a nice set of headphones, and use Puseaudio to switch from the on-board sound to this and the headphones so that I don't have to add wear to the headphone jack.
