I tested this product for a week and there are tons of thing I do love about this webcam. It is very light and compact, making it easier to carry around everywhere you go. No need to worry if it will fit or add extra weight to your bag. It is well-built and the quality of materials used are good and don’t feel cheap at all. As for using the webcam, like what was stated in the packaging, it really is “simple and easy to use,” definitely no lies about that. One of the things I hate about some products is when they require you to download their apps/software to make it work. Good thing Amcrest webcam never had that! All you have to do is to plug the usb cable to your computer and/or laptop and open whichever program you’re needing a webcam for and you’re all good to go. That is how convenient it is.Another great thing about this webcam is it’s adaptability for multiple placements. It is not just limited to your computer and/or laptop. You can lay it down on any flat surface and can even mount it on your tripod. Also, it is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. Additionally, it comes with a webcam cover for your privacy. This is actually a big deal for me since I don’t need to use tape anymore as covering.Now onto the most important things, and built-in stereo microphone quality. Although I use it everyday for video calls with my friends and family as well as zoom meetings, I had to postpone my review ‘til yesterday wherein I had to take a 5-hour prometric home based examination. Prior to Amcrest, I had to borrow my brother’s Logitech webcam for my test last year in which it went smoothly. Thankfully, yesterday’s test too. Amcrest didn’t give me and my proctor any problem or issue regarding the webcam and microphone. My proctor and I can definitely see my face and surrounding clearly. No audio problem happened during that 5-hour exam.If there’s one complain I have in this webcam, it’s probably how it’s not as stable as I want it to be when it is mounted to my laptop. Sometimes I had to move my laptop around and there were times the webcam would fall so I need to hold it or remove it first. But other than that, I’m very happy and satisfied with this webcam and would highly recommend it to everyone who’s looking for a high quality and affordable one.

I used this webcam for several weeks to record videos. It worked fine. But the two times I was invited to a Zoom meeting, my individual screen was blank. I could hear and see the moderator but I was "dark." And I WAS able to see everyone else in the meeting. I tried ALL of the troubleshooting tips recommended by ZOOM, Wansview (the manufacturer), and Windows 10. None of them worked. Maybe I got a lemon. 10/1 UPDATE: My mistake. I'm sure this Webcam works fine with ZOOM. Here's what I discovered, something that NONE of the troubleshooting tips addressed: A few minutes prior to my first ZOOM meeting, I turned on the webcam. Then I clicked the ZOOM invitation link and was part of the meeting. But, again, all I could hear was the sound. ZOOM told me that my camera and microphone weren't recognized. By turning on the camera first, Windows 10 launched its own app that controls the camera. THAT was causing a conflict with ZOOM's attempt to recognize the camera. In a subsequent ZOOM test, I made sure NOT to manually turn on the webcam. I logged on to ZOOM and it recognized my webcam. Apologies for the initial review.

I bought this webcam for my son for his birthday. Just gave it a test and the picture looks great. It was priced at $50 marked down from $200. So it’s a deal in my book. Easy decision. I really like how it has its own light around it.

The webcam is surprisingly good. I bought this because my MacBook’s fan runs like crazy when Zooming and my colleague always complain about it because the built-in microphone will gather the fan noise. After switching to the webcam, my colleague told me they don’t hear the noise anymore.

A while back I did a "Field Test" on the Logitech C615 1080p Webcam for possible future remote videos. The webcam performed superbly.There are a lot of videos about what might be the "Best Camera" for you. While the webcam has a great picture for a webcam that's still what it is. Has trouble with overhead ambient light, gives a halo effect even with adjustment. Microphone pickup is excellent and auto focus works great most of time.

I was looking for a external webcam to use with 24” monitor. This webcam was great as it also has a built-in microphone that most others don’t have. Since WFH scenarios mean more at home video conferencing, this fit the bill.
