Peak Design paid cost to repair base of camera aft
**Update: After contacting Peak Design they actually offered themselves to pay for the repair to the base of my Nikon. I really appreciate that level of customer service so hats off to them. I do plan to try it again with my D7500. I hope all will go well, and considering I haven't heard too many other reports of this happening, hopefully it's just a one off thing. **One single 3 hour flat ground hike. That's all it took to fracture the entire base of my brand new Nikon D5600. Now I have a $1000 camera with less than 1000 actuations and a cracked base that's leaking an oily substance. And no, I didn't over torque the clip onto the camera, I've used clips and tripods for ages and know not to over torque.I attach a few photos where you can see the crack and the oily substance. Obviously I'm upset at Nikon's poor design quality, but I think the base of the Capture clip needs to be far bigger.

Great lightweight tripod
I bought this because I needed a very lightweight tripod for a last minute hiking trip and this one was available for same day delivery with Prime. The price was right, so I figured it would at least do for the weekend, and if not then not a big loss. I was surprised and how nicely this worked out. I've used other super light tripods before and they were so flimsy they were almost impossible to use, even with my lighter cameras. I used this one with a Nikon d3300 with a 50mm f1.8 Nikkor lens and it worked fine. I would NOT recommend using anything heavier on it. I was doing primarily landscape work and at 50'' it did fine for that, easy to adjust too. The quick release plate isn't great, but it's functional. It folds up into a nice compact package you carry in a backpack easily, though it does come with a bag. I won't be using this with my studio cameras, but definitely will become part of my day hike pack.

Sturdy, versatile, works great

It took me a couple hours to hone my skills with this tripod and head, because I've only used still photography tripods in the past. But once I got everything dialed in, I was pleased with the convenience and performance of this equipment.I plan to use it mainly for wildlife and bird videos, but to try it out I mounted several different cameras and lenses and attempted to track planes flying by. The tripod supported everything well, including a 500 mm lens mounted on a heavy DSLR. With a little practice and experimenting I was able to get everything leveled and adjusted for fairly smooth motion tracking (see video). In fact, it worked best with that heavy equipment on it. Using it with a small mirrorless camera made the tripod less stable. The tripod seems to have all the features of much pricier professional ones, but I've not used any of those so I can't actually compare them. I've demonstrated most of the features in my video.

Excellent value
I got this 2 x light package for my son who does Zoom tutor sessions for music, he has a soundproof booth which means having tungsten filament lamp would get too hot, The LED heads are a perfect fit, no heat, tiny amount of power, 5" x 3" head size, lightweight. These are perfect for sprucing up lighting for a face in office Zoom meetings where the normal office lights make you look like a corpse. Use the amber filters included to give kinder skin tones. The kit include red filters (gives a pinkish hue on skin) and blue filters (colder blue daylight color temp to match light coming through windows). The filters act as diffusion too for a softer look cutting out harsh shadows on facial features. The inline switches remember the last dimmer level you used, the ctr button is on/off, and up/down buttons for one of 11 dimmer levels. The tripods are lightweight but stand up OK on a level surface and go up to about 4' from the floor. They also come with small folding table tripods. I also bought additional 1/4" thread clamp fittings to screw the lights onto, so you can clip them to shelves, doors, window frames or any overhead pipes etc to give more options for our needs. This really is an excellent starter lighting package for Zoom/Skype school, work, social calls, or if you want to take your own product pictures for online sales of jewelry and the like, or for stop motion projects. They also throw in 2 plug in charger type USB plugs to power them, each light draws 15 watts so they might exceed normal some phone charger capacities, a nice touch. They don't include a travel bag but that really isn't deal breaker, this full kit would fit into a decent size woman's purse or an old backpack or briefcase you might have lying around.Seeing some of the Zoom home video on CNN and the like in these virus times, a lot of them could use these lights to jazz up their onscreen image a bit.

Nice reverse leg holdup. Could us an arm for movi
I bought this to double as a camera tripod, and then with attachments act as a projector platform and iPad holder.I like the cool Orange anodization. I like how the legs folded backward independently instead of together. This allowed for the unit to have multiple leg angles which allowed for a variety of base widths at the same relative heights. I tested the weight limit claims. It held up at the maximum stated weight. The only thing I would add to this is a control arm/swivel head arm for the head.My “Nails and Fails”What it Nails:1. Looks great2. Reverse folding legs are trippy and useful. The unit compacts nicely. Less fear of pinched fingers than with traditional tripods.3. Adjustable leg angles.4. Swivel Ball pivot head.5. carrying case doesn't feel cheap. Seems durable.6. Nice built in level bubble for the head.Where it fails:1. Needs a head/shoe control arm to position the head more easily.

Great Upgrade, Love GVM Lighting
I have a few GVM lights and have been pleased with their functionality so I decided to jump on these, as they are upgraded with more lights and, as it turns out, some really great features. First off, more LED's! The lights are really nice, and provide great uniform lighting. The app is a great way to connect and control the lights - and setting them up as a pair is simple and saves a ton of time. One of the biggest upgrades over the last set I purchased is that this model remembers your settings after power off - a huge plus! (I may buy a few more even and use the others for video setups). The tripods are sturdy and the case and protective inner cases are awesome. If you don't want to use your smartphone and app, the controls are simple and versatile. I have used these indoors and out - they perform like champs and are an amazing value - I would definitely buy more, and will likely do so soon! :)

Flexible and sturdy
This is a nice quality little tripod. It is the perfect size to use with a cell phone or a point-and-shoot camera. The legs bend easily into any shape and they hold that shape until you move them again. It comes with several ways to mount a camera. There is a regular camera mount, which works with the point-and-shoot cameras. There is also an attachment that will allow you to attach an action camera. And it comes with an adaptor that will hold a cell phone. So, there are lots of ways to use this tripod.I like that the legs are easily moved and very flexible. I am not sure what they are made of, but the outside is rubbery. They feel very sturdy. The legs of the tripod have enough weight that I did not worry about them blowing over with my camera attached. The tripod weight is balanced well and seems secure to me. I do a lot outdoors with a camera and the tripod needs to hold it steady even during windy days. This one accomplishes that purpose. The flexibility of the legs allows you to be creative on where you mount the tripod. You can wrap the legs around a tree branch, a railing, a door handle, or whatever else you can think of. It is easy to straighten them back out when you are finished. Another thing I like about this tripod is that there are fewer moving parts in the legs. No adjusting the height, but also no beads that need to be straightened as in other similar flexible tripods. I think that fewer moving parts will mean a longer useful life for the tripod. The ball joint head swivels, but not to a complete 90 degrees. To make the tilt 90 degrees, you use the legs and flex them to the desired angle. It's different than larger tripods, but it is still a very handy thing to have. It is small enough that you can carry it in a backpack and it doesn't add a lot of weight to your load. It's light enough that I am more likely to carry it with me into the field than a full size tripod. In my opinion, that increases the utilitarian value of having a smaller tripod - the likelihood that it will be there if you need it since it can be carried along without much hassle.I give it five stars for ease of use, flexibility of mounting options, lightweight and portable. Works great with my point-and-shoot camera, even outdoors.

Sturdy Lighting Tripod
I have a BUNCH of lighting Tripods, Sadly the majority I have are for Smaller lights It’s why they were a Very good deal. The could not support most of my newer lighting if I needed them too. Heck they barely can handle being used to Raise my Sling Studio higher (not that high of a Lighting tripod either) I got this for a review and want more. They are more beefy and can handle my lights better than my older smaller ones. I like Neewer and appreciate that I can now get my lighting to where it can be pointed down not directly in someone’s face like my older ones. The locks are strong and do not slip and the tripod feels thicker and stronger than my older ones. So as soon as I can Im getting at least 3 more to have a full set of Lighting stands.Pros: 72 inches talllarge twist locksSupports up to 13 lbsCons: No carry bag
