This Yeti X is the new entry model for their standard microphone. It isconfusingly named "Professional" as Yeti also markets a studio professional line with better tech but more complicated setups, but this one is still the consumer setup with decent stats for recording (48k), but does not have the studio quality sound of their Pro high-end (192k). On the other hand, the major differentiator of this model from the old baseline is that this one has live processing built in automatically. With the old Yeti, you either had to have an additional DAC or have some software solution installed, but you no longer have to use a separate solution for live processing if you stream out.I do not have any particular criticism of the USB-A to micro-USB solution (there are some angry people out there with USB-C obsessive needs), most setups are desktop which are USB-A cords, but this would be a bit annoying on Macs. The cord could be a bit longer due to needing the length when using the Yeti X with a boom arm (more on why later). Speaking of which, the Sherpa software now works on Macs (it did not before), but there are some headaches associated with Mac use that I saw with my Macbook Air in terms of using an adapter; this is solvable but requires some jury-rigging. It would be nice if the software could support a Linux build someday to take into account Raspberry Pi and Steam gaming solutions.For most gaming setups with a single voice source (yours), you want to have the cardioid instead of the omnidirectional enabled. You will pick up less background noise and you will come across in a richer tone. You should install the Sherpa software to play around with the equalizer to optimize your sound quality, and to make sure that you are addressing the mic properly (do not speak to the top of the Yeti X, speak to its side).Note, the included stand is probably too short for most gamers even if you are six inches away from the mic itself. You will hear yourself typing through the mic due to how short the stand is. I really recommend that you invest in a boom arm to keep the microphone closer to your face and away from other sources of noise, and the Yeti X has the standard attachment for screwing it in. Yeti itself sells a good boom arm, but this mic can be mounted on other boom arms without any major modifications.For gaming, this is a great entry microphone that keeps up a good tradition which is more or less plug-and-play. You may graduate to higher end versions of this mic someday (the Pro series is an accessible one for studio recording), but the live processing is the best new feature in the baseline that I am sure will improve your audio quality immediately, and if you choose to spend some time optimizing within the software, I think you will appreciate the results of your customization.

Bought this product to replace a broken wireless microphone for a PA system. The system bought was plug and play. The system was over 10 years old, could not find a matching frequency mic. Would definitely buy again and would definitely recommend.

I won't go into super detail because I'm not a big audiophile and many other reviewers are.However, this product has my full backing and I really love it. This is the best microphone that I have ever owned. Consider using an arm to suspend it rather than keeping it on your table, as that makes it sound even better.

Probably the best action camera you'll be able to get for your Sena 20s! Being able to have bluetooth connectivity from your headset to your camera is GREAT! You can put it anywhere on you or your motorcycle! A lot clearer image and better color than Gopro.

Easy to install and works fine with programs like Discord. I have not tried speech recognition with it yet. Very happy with purchase.

I am starting out making Youtube videos and tried my logitech wecam, it was terrible for audio quality. Did some research and got this bad boy (Yeti Blue) and WOW.. what is this? Heavenly audio! It transformed my office noise into a studio. Great product and reasonable price.
