I am returning my Boomerang to Amazon for a refund.The Bluetooth connectivity is horrible. Unless I have my phone in my front pocket the signal drops. Even holding my phone in my hand results in a dropped or very choppy signal. Back pocket, cargo pockets, or anywhere below the beltline and the signal drops out completely. Something has to be wrong with the device or there is a design flaw. Other reviewers have noted this same range problem. I don't see how people are tolerating this.I'm sort of bummed out because the sound is awesome for my podcasts. I tried to use it for about an hour but spent most of time walking holding my phone next to my neck to maintain connectivity which sort of defeats the purpose of having a neck speaker.I've requested a return and will not be buying another Monster speaker of this type.Update : Amazon refunded my money quickly. The seller continues to pester me about deleting this comment and they will give me $20. I thought sellers aren’t supposed to do this. I’d repurchase the product if they fix it. The seller says they have corrected the problem, I’ve posted a question about whether this is true but haven’t heard back.Update: I bought these again. And changed from 1 to 4 stars. Even after the seller pestered me via two separate people with various sob stories I did not cave in to there pleadings to give me $50 for removing my negative review. Around Black Friday I had a chance to buy these for $53 due to a flash sale discount. I took a chance. The supplier had previously said they fixed all the issues but I was still a skeptic. I really liked the sound on the initial pair so I gambled and bought them again. I figured I’d be returning them again….I’ve had them about a month now and walk with them daily while listening to podcasts. They are great for voice. For music they are just ok. They have trouble with heavy bass. There is a limiter that kicks in and some songs just sound really weird while others are perfect. I updated my review to 4 stars because I’m happy with what I expected these to be. If you want really excellent sound, buy real headphones. I haven’t had any issues with connections. I’ve dropped them on the floor 3-4 times now and they still work. For $53, I’m pretty satisfied with them. The only complaint I have now is the welcome and goodbye messages are annoying and the volume seems to always start pretty high and requires a few seconds before it can be controlled on the connected device.

Every time I let a friend try Boomerang the first word they say is "Wow!" Say good bye to uncomfortable things stuck in your ears. This is much more natural sound and the bass is nothing short of amazing. Battery life is around 6 hours.

Have to say, I really like the boomerang speakers. I've had numerous neck surgeries and typically don't like to have anything pulling on my neck, but these are light enough so they're no problem at all. The sound is excellent and the build quality is really very good. I've had them from months now and they look good as new. I also can't stress how nice it is that they flex and bend. My only comments are that I wish that when they turned on you could adjust the volume a bit lower. I find that it's loud at its initial default setting. I have a few other Bluetooth devices that are a bit better at supporting two or three different devices. Occasionally, I've had to reconnect and re-pair to an older device if it was synced with something else previously. Honestly, though that really hasn't proved to be a problem at all and I do switch between device so often. I have not tested whether it's waterproof, mostly because I just haven't had a need to do that but I use these everyday of the week and love having my ears totally uncovered, I can hear everything around me, and still have great sound quality from the boomerang. Also, it's great around other people because they can barely hear it or sometimes not even here at all when I'm walking around the house and yet the sound is perfect for me. Also, the 3D effect is actually very good given the fact that the speakers kind of wrap around below your ears. I would definitely recommend them!
