Great portable tripod, though worth changing the ball head
Works as planned! The supplied ball head is okay but a bit plasticy and only suitable for smaller camera and lenses. I upgraded this part of the tripod and it's now perfect for my amateur usage

Good ballhead, excellent value.
This ball-head is light, easy to clean, smooth and locks firmly (although it creeps a tiny bit before locking definitely with heavy/long lenses). The mechanism to lock it in vertical position relatively to the base is a nice addition, although it is not very precise (once the pin is in position, you can still tilt the head a bit). While not perfect, I rate it five stars because better ball-heads costs twice as much, making this ball-head excellent value. I recommend it.

Great, nice and sturdy.
Sturdy piece of kit. It has taken me a while to get used to the ball-head, but that is me and no fault of the tripod. I just received the 'rebate' of a free pan/tilt head, but I cannot see how to get the ball-head off. I sent the company an email, but have yet to hear back. I haven't used any of the fancy pivoting legs or anything yet. I used it for shooting video in church, and this is the only time I have extended the central column. I had the camera up above head height, and it was plenty stable. This *was* indoors, though, and there was no wind to contend with.

Works Great with G7X
I bought this to go with my Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II. It's just the right size. No problem with stability or rigidity, even though this camera is right at the upper limit of weight capacity for this tripod (the G7X weighs 319 grams with battery and memory card). It was not evident until I received it how the ball head would work. Normally, a ball head has some kind manual lock and release, but I couldn't see anything like that in the pictures. Once receiving the tripod, I could see that it relies only on friction. In hindsight, this makes perfect sense, since the legs are made up of ball joints held in place with friction.Anyway, it is easy to use, and sturdy enough for my camera. I look forward to using it in the field.

So far so good.
I have four other ball heads, so far this ball head works very well. I have had it for a very short time and to soon to evaluate.

Great
This is the first time I have used a tripod with a ball head and is great. So much easier to use than my old Manfrotto with the three handles. The tripod is nice and sturdy and I like the ability to collapse it down and use the center post as a boom to hold the camera off to the side for macro shots

The ball head works great for nature photography
The ball head works great for nature photography. It so much simpler to have one lever to turn toposition the camera than having two or three you have to adjust before taking a shot. I would definitelyrecommend the ball head.

Overall it is a great ball head but in the cold it isn't smooth.

Great, but consider a ball head attachment or alte
It was hard to use without a ball head. I had to buy one separately. You can make coarse adjustments with the legs but a ball head mount seems almost necessary to get a camera/phone oriented correctly and easily.
