I bought this filter for my 2014 Ford Focus Hatch SE automatic with dual clutch transmission. I can't believe how well this air filter works. It has increased low end throttle response and acceleration. It doesn't make it a Ford Focus ST or anything but there is an improvement. People are right on here about the installation. The Focus air filter box is tight. you have make sure you have installed this properly of the air filter box won't close. This really is a no brainer improved car performance, life time product for $60. You can continue spending $20 every 10,000 buying a stock air filter, for the life of your vehicle with no change in driving performance. I am so impressed with this product I am thinking of upgrading to the air intake system for $299.

What do you say about a car filter? The old one was dirty, and cost half as much as a K&N. K&N filters are cleanable/reusable and last forever. I guess I could add that they're not always the best for every application, if you have a Mass Airflow sensor especially very close to where the filter goes, then they're risky since the oil can get sucked out of the filter into the sensor. Most applications they're fine, they flow awesome, filter pretty good (best when dirty) and save money in the long run. Gas and Horsepower gains shouldn't be noticed unless you are replacing a filter that is so clogged that it's inhibiting performance, and that's not really a gain, that would be a restoration of power and fuel economy.

K&N filters have always performed for any vehicle I put them in. This one is no exception. Easy to install and prevents you from having to replace your air filter every time you get an oil change.

That's an easy choice.Just don't ever buy one of these filters at your local parts store. They mark these up drastically (like everything else for that matter). You can always find a better deal on Amazon. You can also confirm that the filter fits your vehicle by going to the K&N website and running the part number. Easy.Buy a K&N filter cleaning kit while your at it, or wait a few years. Those kits come with cleaning solution and the famous pink oil that you spray back on once clean.

I have these filters in every one of my vehicles. This units allow the car to breath better saving fuel consumption and adding power to your car. You also save money because you don't have to keep buying air filters because this filter is reusable. The downside is that you need to wash the filter once a year and add the spray oil to it. These kits cost about $10 from Auto Zone etc.These filter cost a lot initially but the fuel savings and extra HP to your vehicle pays for itself quickly.If you don't clean the filter and put oil on the unit the performance will significantly be hindered.

As soon as I installed this K&N air filter I noticed more air being drawn into the intake.I get better responce when I hit the ges. It has been about a week since I installed this air filter and I am on the second tank of gas and seem to be getting better gas milage already. I also like the fact that I can clean it as neccesary, This should stop the up sales for a new air filter every time I get my oil changed!Great product.
