Be sure to read the attached one-page instruction sheet and watch the setup video via the link to YouTube. The key points are: The L-shape mounting plate should be installed with the O (hole) facing the right side of the camera whereas the slider strap should be tied to the left strap hook of the camera.Because of the placement of the L-shape plate, it prevents the battery door from completely open. That makes changing battery a bit inconvenient.

I am unable to install the neck strap because the portion sent to me was connected and I cannot get it apart!!! I understand the mechanism. Do NOT want to break it trying to get it apart. HELP!!!!!!! Note: Suddenly unable to find the purchase site. Was finally able to make the connection. PLUS...the company sent an additional neck strap because of my difficulty!!! I have not used the camera since I connected to the strap but I tried it on and it feels find.

I wanted a replacement strap for my briefcase (the original is cream color thus gets dirty FAST). After looking at almost all the straps offered on Amazon I settled on this one because it is inexpensive and seems to be well designed.After getting the product I was not disappointed.(Black strap review) The soft pad has a sticky side that prevents slipping off the shoulder (if not carried cross body style). The stitching seems to be solid. The metal hardware should last long. However, the hardware is not for heavy load. Now I may order red, orange, and blue color ones to replace the strap on my 3 other handbags. The soft shoulder pad makes carrying the bag cross body so much more comfortable.As for strap getting long by not staying put, the solution is very simple and easy. Find 2 safety pins that's 1.5" long (the short and puny ones are not strong enough and won't pin thru the webbing). Pin the webbing as close to the swivel as possible. The pins will make the strap stay in place and prevent the webbing from bunching at the swivel.(Red strap review)The red strap the pad is thicker with neoprene on both sides but there's no sticky side. The nylon webbing color is orange red, a lighter shade than the photo. The swivel width fits the webbing width, unlike the black one where the swivel is wider than the webbing. Again I use a safety pin right above the swivel to affix the webbing in place to keep the strap length to where I want.

This is a very nice camera strap. It seems well built and made of high quality materials. The only thing I can say that is slightly annoying is that they have a leather protector behind the metal mounting ring and for good reason, so it doesn't scratch your camera. The downside of this is the strap always has to be upright as it cannot simply fall down because the leather is in the way. (see picture) This makes the strap get in the way of the screen sometimes and there isn't really anywhere to put it. Not a big deal just something I thought i'd mention. You could simply remove the little leather piece pretty easily but then it may scratch you camera over time. I think the way they did it is great because you have the option to remove it if need be.If I needed a new strap I would buy this again with no hesitation. Much better than straps that came in the box of my cameras.

This strap was not long enough for my chest and camera size, so I ended up returning it. The pattern and material were great, just not long enough for me

This is a great product for getting easy access to your camera and keeping your hands free. It takes a little getting used to with the camera weight on one side of your pack. Having a pack that has a strap on the top chest helps secure the camera in a comfortable position. I’d love to see the clamping system modified to adjust to various strap widths. Overall, it’s a sturdy and a well built product. I’ve purchased other Peak Design products base on the quality of the Capture Clip.

My son is a professional photographer who has his camera in his hand and moving around the set constantly. I got him this for Christmas and he said it is one of the most important tools he has. He is able to move around the set and direct the models and other crew members without fear of dropping his camera. It keeps his camera in position and ready to capture the moment without fumbling with a neck or shoulder strap. Many of his crew members have since ordered this hand strap.

Love it! Best camera strap I could find. Beautiful design, very comfortable for full day shoot. Everyone that uses two cameras need to have it.
