Love my monitor! I did my research on monitors before purchasing and finally settled on the Infant Optics DXR-8. This one was in budget but still has bonus features like being able to move the camera from the parent screen. I use the normal lense and have the camera wall mounted about 2ft from crib but when you add in the vertical distance I think its close to the reccomended 3ft. I have also used it further away on a shelf but the height was ackward and the crib slats blocked too much of my view. If you can wall mount, you will have a better view. Image quality is great. When curtains are closed it will display in black/white (night mode) so basically always used in night mode with naps and bed.

I bought this camera for my son who had weird ideas for YouTube videos but he stopped and wanted to move to photography. He said in his opinion its better for videos than photos. He recomends this for any new youtubers who need to film vlogs aroudn town ,daily home videoa or use for traveling hence its small and fits perfectly in a small bag as well as easy to carry(highly recomend the 22mm kit lens if used for this reason).The autofocus is slow especially with the kit lens that I got him which was a 18-55mm I think. Zoom close up shots take very long to take. Photo quality is great for like family ocaisons at parks and reniouns. My son also pointed out that if your looking for a camera to make money with photography this isn't one because its slow, and hard to get the blur backgrounds as well as it doesn't have any flash. The battery does die fast so if you use it for traveling u may want to have 2 of them.Overall I'm writing this review a year later with this camera and personally I think my son is right. On family reunions we have my son film the games we do and other stuff.We also take pictures don't get me wrong it's great for personal use. As well as great camera to start a YouTube channel with for any teens who want to start one.But if your looking for professional camea with more features this ain't one.

This camera is very clear and the display is very clear. You can move the camera angle up, down, left and right all from the monitor, which is helpful because my toddler likes to roll all over the bed while sleeping. I previously had a Vtech monitor and this has a smaller monitor screen but much better quality image! Very easy to setup as well!

Just purchased this monitor and already love it! We had to upgrade since our first monitor of 4 years broke. Found this one and I love being able to move the cameras with a click of a button. My baby loves to move all around the crib when sleeping and these are perfect because they're so quiet. I can literally move the camera around the WHOLE room too! Sometimes my older one likes to play in her room with my little, so its so easy to rotate that camera without having to go physically move it. The picture and sound are both great. The buttons and settings are simple and easy to use. This camera is worth it!

Great baby monitor with great picture and sound! Battery life is a bit on the shorter side but love it otherwise!

I really enjoy the fact that the monitor is portable so I can take it around the house with me.The volume light is helpful also.

Very happy with this camera - easy to set up and good picture quality including night vision. Would recommend!
