I got this flash a few days ago and I am very pleased with it. All the functions worked properly. I think some of the negative reviews come from users not knowing how the flash operates. This is a great flash with a few things you should know.1. It doesn't come with anything to attatch to a tripod or it doesn't come with a stand so you can use the flash as a slave off camera...no biggie just buy something to attach to the bottom.2. The flash takes a little time to get used to...the many useful tools on the back of the flash can be a little intimidating at first...I think this is where most ppl get frustrated and either misuse the flash or get another flash because they do not understand the relationship of the increments on the flash in manual mode and the increments on the camera...it is well worth to pick up a book about flashes and learn.3.The recycle time seems to be an issue with most ppl with this flash....I already had the DC1500 Duracell NiMH rechargeable's and the recycle time for me was less than a second in all formats, which is superb.In other words, this is a great toy that you need to play with on your own and learn...and take heed to some of the negative reviews about this flash.

There is really nothing to not like about this light. It's bright unless you choose to dim it down. It has has a lot of freedom of adjustment. The packaging is very good, don't forget to recycle or reuse it.

I will not purchase these pods again. The coffee tastes great. However, I bought it because the plastic pods are recyclable. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to separate the pod cover from the the plastic pod. Other recyclable pods (such as Harney and Sons hot cinnamon spice tea) have a tab that makes it much easier to remove the cover.

Purchased this flash in May 2010 because I was doing some photo shoots in extremely low lighting. Worked great for those purposes and every other purpose I've used it for since then. A great alternative to Canon Speedlites if you can't afford those - ETTL for $130? SOLD! Good recycle time with fresh batteries. Hasn't misfired on me yet. Only thing I wish it had was a flash stand.

1/3 of the Sony brand price, rechargeable, I could shoot all Day and battery is just below half, This Speedlight is Very well Manufactured, Fast recycle time, I am a manufacturing Engineer, I know this Flashpoint is the real Deal, Highly recommend

I bought this to use at a wedding. Well it gave a good flash, but it is slow on the recycle. I had to change the batteries twice. With the small soft box I bought it worked nicely on my Canon Rebel XS. If you can't afford a Canon Speed Light this is a good alternative. I own two of them. This was the first time I used it for a wedding, some missed shots. For everything else it works great, not for pro work.

I replaced my canon 320EX flash with 2 of these units, and i'm glad i did so. For those who don't really use/need TTL, this can be a great bargain. Picked up 2 of these to use as a master and slave. Recommend using eneloop rechargeable batteries with the flash as it increases the flash recycle time. Work great with the cowboy studio flash trigger and 2 receivers. The power of these units is enough for indoor/studio setup i have. I haven't tried them in an outdoor environment. Took off 1 star because the recycle time increases to about 5 seconds as the flash gets heated up ( usually happens after about 25 shots ) . Also comes with built in control to avoid over-heating, which is nice for the price point. Overall, worth spending the money on for an indoor setup.

works as advertised. Works with ni-mh batteries. power steps work. instant recycle on lower power settings. I bought the fixed power one year ago..should have saved the money and just gone for this one.
