Not as good as the original. But takes up less roo
I have my first Gen echo. The speakers are better, and the mic picks up my voice even over loud music. This version the speakers are not as good, and it will miss its wake up word about 20% of the time.

Great quality!! Love these. Just got them with a turn table. Very loud for book shelf speakers. Would highly recommend.

Best quality that doesn't break the bank!!
This is perfect for my schooling online. My computer speakers didn't go to loud. Definitely would get again and recommend!!

DAUM these are amazing
I didn't have the money to spend on expensive speakers, but I like my music loud and rich in quality. I researched a bit and found good reviews for these speakers on some unbiased review sites. Just started using them but they exceed my expectations. They have a really rich sound and can get very LOUD, louder than I even need really, but glad to know it's available if I want it. smaller profile and easily fits under my monitor on each side. Really great right now, but I'll post an update if that changes.

loud in one direction, which could be good...
its a triangle, and the speakers are only on one side. on the side that the speakers are on, its loud. on the side that they arent- not so much. this could be advantageous, so i wont knock it. the battery live is PHENOMENAL. i use this daily at work.

Useful and Affordable
These basic speakers are great for amplifying the sound from laptops. They are quite a bit louder than the internal speakers on my MacBook. They are extremely easy to use as well. I plugged them into my Mac and they worked without a hassle. I like that they draw power and audio from the same source, a fact that keeps my desk cleaner.I noticed the mid-range volume levels (between very loud and very quiet) are hard to distinguish. In other words, a volume of 5/20 sounded like a volume of 15/20. This is not a deal-breaker, since the range of loud settings and quiet settings offer some flexibility. The intermediate volumes are simply irrelevant to me. One other warning: If you plug in the speakers after you start a full-screen program, you may need to close the program to make the speakers work. I encountered this while playing StarCraft II.These speakers are wonderfully affordable, making them an easy choice. Pick them up if you want a general purpose set for just about any reason.

Best speakers!
These speakers sound AWESOME!!!! The quality is great and they are LOUD! I am a music buff, so I really appreciate the great sound.
