Easy to hook up. Impressed that it works through a window. It detected my neighbors car being broken into. No other camera on the block picked up any activity and the Yi camera did. I use a memory card and don’t pay for the subscription. I can’t believe how fantastic the quality of this camera for the money. Highly recommend. I want to buy a few more now.I also have Arlo cameras and a ring. The quality of video is best with Yi.

Honestly I am not sure how YI achieved to come out with this beast of an action camera. The picture quality is amazing.

Price:I got the Yi 4K, Gimbal, Bluetooth remote controller, selfie stick and the camera case. I can't compare Gopro Hero 5 and Yi 4K, because I have never own a action camera before. The cost of Hero 5 camera is more expensive than Yi 4K + Gimbal + BT remote control selfie stick + camera case.Camera, remote controller and gimbal setup:To use the camera, you must download the Yi Action App and update the firmware first. I used my iPhone wifi connect to the camera (it will appear your wifi connection list). From the App, you can download the latest firmware and update the camera firmware. If not, the BT remote won't work. The FOV can only set to WIDE if your resolution is above 1080p 30fps and the low light mode and EIS as well. I can't use the on-line method to calibrate the gimbal, it showed error no matter how I tried, but it works with off-line manual calibration.Customer Service:Yi has very good customer service. During my setup, I email my questions and issues to their customer service. They replied very clear and useful information. You just need a little bit patient because they are located in China and the timezone is different from the USA.

This camera has been recording our Camping trips and works great. Highly recommend it if you do not want to pay for more expensive units.

I have really been impressed with the image quality of this little action cam. For the money it's the best value out there in my opinion. I also want to add that the customer service I received from Yi Technology was outstanding. My original Yi 4K action cam exhibited a slight crack at the bottom of the casing due to wear and tear. Since it was still under warranty I reported the issue to Yi Technology in Seattle and they sent another one. They also responded to my queries in a very timely manner. If you value a good action cam at a fair price and great customer service, then I highly recommend this action cam.

Having purchased a Yi Indoor Camera from a thrift store, I was not expecting the picture quality to be so fantastic. This puts the Guardzilla cameras to shame. You'd expect to pay hundreds more for cameras with half the picture quality.I was so impressed, I purchased my next Yi Indoor Camera right here on Amazon, along with an outdoor housing, and a 30-foot power cord (since the included one wasn't long enough for my application).I am consistently amazed with Yi Technology's cameras...I also have one of their dash cameras, and an action camera. Absolutely the best camera(s) one can buy, if you're on a budget.

I just received the Yi 4k action camera from Amazon. Upon unboxing I found it to be a very well made camera, similar to the first Yi action camera. This is a huge upgrade from the first one, it is ready for video or pictures within 2 seconds after turning it on, and the touch screed is very responsive and ultra-sharp. I do not have a Hero4 to compare it to but I see others stating that it is better all around. I will be updating this review as soon as I get to use it a few days. But for now, it is a real winner.
