Great flash. Simple and easy to use
Great flash. Simple and easy to use. I used it for four hours shooting portraits at prom paired with my Canon 80D and it worked great.

Nifty fifty indeed!
Great bokeh and blur. My first prime lens; using this on my very modest Rebel T6. Way better than the kit lens, but the 50mm is definitely a close up lens - better for portraits or photoshoots. I think it's too cropped for off the mill street photography or architecture. For the price though, the ability for it to go the f1.8 is remarkable. I wish the autofocus was a bit better, and the sharpness (not sure if it's the Rebel's fault though) would be more pronounced in photos. Love the lightness too - it makes a DSLR really compact but still so versatile.

Great light weight stands for speedlights and holding reflectors with a clamp.I use one with a speedlight and umbrella for outdoors portraits.

Excellent portrait lens, excellent price.
Just got this and I am very happy with it. I was looking for a lens that would provide a shallow depth of field for portraits, and this works wonderfully! It has a light and plastic feel, which was a little concerning, but other reviews say it's an upgrade over the old one (metal mounting ring).Considering the price, I would highly recommend it. It's a fantastic lens, and very affordable, especially for novice photographers.

Good to get small jobs done and great for the low cost. Not too sturdy but it will suffice for portraits. No issues at all
