Easy to read and understand. NOT too technical.
This is a FANTASTIC resource for Astronomy. It is easily read and understood by the amateur stargazer to someone who teaches Astronomy. I found it very good in explaining basic principles to both audiences. I plan to use this in my High School Astronomy Club that I sponsor each year. Simply an Excellent source of user friendly information.

Highly recommended
I have a degree in Physics and took several astronomy courses years ago and have recently gotten back into the subject. This is a very good introductory college level book on astronomy for non-majors (meaning it doesn't get as deep into the math). It was a great refresher for me, covering observational astronomy concepts, solar system astronomy, basic stellar physics and the lifecycles of stars, and cosmology. Well written and highly recommended.

Good basic book on astronomy
Good basic book on astronomy. Just what you would expect from the title. It gives a general overview of a lot of different things in astronomy. This is a good starting point.
