Easy to put together and nice ambient lighting for our den.

This camera plugged right in and worked properly with all of the software I needed it to on MacOS X Catalina.I'm not a demanding user of this camera, so I don't know if it would do well for more discerning users. It meets my needs exactly.

 You won't be disappointed in this camera. I upgraded to the One X2 and I'm totally satisfies. The colors and optics have been boosted, the battery life extended, and a touch screen added for convenience. I love this camera.

I wanted a solid performing camera for Apples OS X operating system. Well it did the trick for me.only wish it had a white color option for my decor. But hey sometimes you can't have it all. Good camera.

I don't usually write reviews but for those of you who are out there if you are looking for a good action camera you must consider the AKASO V50X Native 4K30fps WiFi Action Camera with EIS Touch Screen 4X Zoom 131 feet Waterproof Camera. This camera has everything the Big guys have and more. I did my homework on this camera and I am glad I did. the price was very reasonable and the pictures I took while on vacation was as good and most times better that my previous camera at a fraction of the cost. I comes with loads of accessories and 2 rechargeable batteries. If you are looking for a good action camera get this one.

I will state up front that I am running a Hero 8 more than I do the V50X . That being said, the Akaso is worth the money and is the reason I decided to invest in the latest GoPro camera. For one quarter of the price you get a very practical, versatile and useful action camera. The only reason I purchased the Hero 8 is because I was able to get it for about half the normal price...other than that, I was content to use the V50X . The V50X interface is a little more cumbersome than the GoPro but after you have things set up, you usually don't need to play around with settings too much. I used it for mountain biking, strapped to both my helmet and my chest. The stabilization and image was good enough that I was showing some friends what I thought was Hero 8 footage before realizing my error. The colors are a bit more washed out (natural) when compared to the Hero 8 but that is a setting the people at GoPro purposely default to (the enhanced coloring) and can be adjusted in post-processing. I'll be using the V50X along side of my Hero 8 to get multiple angles of my activities. The V50X will do the job needed when it comes to being an action camera, it can't compete against the very latest GoPro but it would be a rival for the earlier models. If you don't know if you want an action camera or not sure, this would be my recommendation. It makes a great backup option to the Hero 8 as well as being used as a secondary camera when desired. My brother-in-law uses the V50X exclusively on vacations - using it for photos as well as video.

This camera comes with all kinds of gadgets for various different activities. I take the V50X out during kayak trips, hiking, mountain biking, vacations, etc. and it never fails to deliver. I haven't had the battery run out on me yet, but carry the extra one as back-up just in case. The touch screen allows seamless switching between all the different modes. The remote control lets you take pictures that you normally couldn't without the camera in your hands. I am able to take this camera during short dives in the local springs and capture all kinds of interesting photos underwater thanks to the waterproof case that comes with the camera. For the price, you can't beat the Akaso V50X. This little camera has lived up to my expectations and then some.
