Dell Vostro laptop to Samsung Smart TV
Works very well using an old (2010) Dell Vostro laptop (VGA) to a Samsung 2013 Smart TV (HDMI). No picture size adjustment necessary and the audio is excellent.

Clearer dialog.
At my age it is hard to understand and keep up with the dialog of many of the British mysteries that I watch, even with subtitles. I just got a new Samsung Smart TV and noticed in a review that I read before I purchased it that someone recommended this Bose Soundbar for older viewers. I love it! There is a button to make the dialog easier to hear, while still being able to hear movie quality sound effects and music. Just perfect for me. I purchased a high speed HDMI cable, which doesn't come with the soundbar, but was recommended on the reviews, to connect the soundbar to the HD/eARC connection on the TV, which makes the Bose the sound system for the TV, coming on with the on button of the TV control. Was easy to set up for this 75 year old lady. Love my Bose!

Great purchase will buy another just to hook phone
This puppy bumps, great addition to tv and will put most sound bars in their place at half to a third of the price. Just add digital optical coax conversion to hook into smart tv and you are good to go. Bass is clear and powerful, shakes the house

Cheap fix for dead HDMI input on older flat screen
The HDMI input died on my 55" TV and the replacement board was about 350.00. I purchase this HDMI to VGA adapter and now I can watch the TV again for under 15.00 bucks. It is 1080P and the picture looks great! Do the math and it is a no brainer fix for an older TV.

Sound is great if set correctly.
I feel it's a little pricey for what it is. Also noted others say it needs a volume control. I agree but dont let that deter you. It depends on the audio source how loud they get. Some tv channels they sound good. Others you can barely hear them. Same on dvds. Also wont bluetooth to my phone now as it did before but I havent had time to trouble shoot that. May need to change something on the smart bar. All in all they are keepers. Am now going to add to this. I have discovered on my tv that if you go into your audio settings for rear speakers you can adjust it to either normal or louder or loudest. I set it to loudest. Made a major difference of the volume in the rear. Very pleased with it. I may even have to cut it back some.
