Case was scratched on the camera metal, but the case itself feels great. Amazing if you have naturally oily hands and it smudges your old phone cases. The Purple looks very pretty.

This isn't a bad camera--video or photo--but it is something of a strange product. In theory, the 'core functionality' is a good one. Shooting video 'POV' definitely has applications for content creators and other users. If this is your plan, the ORDRO has you all taken care of. The design of the camera easily facilitates this thanks to the head mount. The head mount is comfortable to wear and does a good job of holding the camera steady. You can just turn it on to record and go about your business.The device includes a remote control and a watchband looking thing so you can wear it on your wrist. It's also controllable via Android/iOS app. I found this to be the most useful way to interface with the camera. You can look at photos and videos, operate the device remotely, change settings, etc. If you want to be really clandestine you can operate it from the device itself. Note that the user guide indicates that you just need to 'touch' the video and photo area to operate the camera. In reality, you need to distinctly tap it. A double tap might even be better. Once I figured this out, the camera became easy to operate.Photo and video quality is surprisingly good. I wouldn't advise trying to use this for serious high resolution recording but at 1080p@60fps it performed well. The still photos were also sharp though the colors looked somewhat muted. There might be a way to correct this in the settings that I'm not aware of. For 'bread and butter' photo and video, it could be a pretty handy device. The build quality is decent--everything went together quickly and the camera feels very solid on the headset.If you want to shoot POV video or photos with your hands free, this might be your device. Actually, that's not quite accurate--no matter which control method you use it's necessary to touch the camera (or remote or app) to start and stop the video. The form factor gives you one shooting option: from head level simulating your point of view. The image and video stabilization is decent and the camera does as much as it can with the design limitation.The first thing that came to mind when I was testing the camera: 'Why would you get this when you can get a GoPro Hero 10 or 11. The ORDRO costs significantly less so it isn't really fair to compare this camera to either recent GoPro model. There are, however, countless low profile brand action cams available at extremely low price points. Most of these devices try to offer the same functionality as the GoPro or at least a similar form factor. The degree to which they succeed vary widely. At their best, however, some of these inexpensive action cams are surprisingly good.There's another option for content creators on a budget: the camera in your cellphone. Depending on the specifics of your phone you've got an easy way to create photos and videos. The top of the line phones like recent vintage iPhones, Samsung and the Google Pixels of the past few years offer exceptional camera quality. Most phones on the market today at any price offer a 'fairly decent' camera. Maybe it isn't as easy to do the 'POV view' thing with a cellphone though I'm sure there's some type of aftermarket accessory that will let you. What *is* easy to do is to mount it on a tripod or stand and record from a similar angle. Many creators use the camera positioned at an overhead angle if they're doing something like cooking that requires viewers to keep track of detailed steps.What really struck me as strange is that the functionality of the ORDRO isn't *really* that limited. If you take the video off of the headset mount you'll find a 1/4" screw hole. Inexplicably, this isn't mentioned in the product description or user documentation. This affords an almost unlimited number of mounting options and use cases. Pick up some adapters and you've got still more options. One significant limitation is the inability to use the device for live streaming. This means that a decent quality webcam with a 1/4" mount option offers significantly more versatility than the ORDRO. You can get some of the best webcams on the market for less than the ORDRO'S price point.That leaves us with a decent enough camera but one that sure looks to have a limited niche. Once you get it out of POV head mounted mode there's not much of a 'unique selling proposition' relative to other cameras--even ones at similar or less costly price points.

Highly recommend this camera (body only). Too bad they don't allow built in flash to be pull back for bounce flash effect.

This product works fantastic. I find the picture to be comparable or even better in some cases than the other leading brand's cameras.I used this to capture snowboarding on the mountain. It worked so well! I had this attached to my helmet and it had fell off during a rough run, but it survived the night in it's case and was recovered the next day. Well worth the purchase for myself.Came with a bunch of useful accessories. Make sure you secure your camera tight, you definitely do not want to lose this camera!
