Once I got it set up it has worked up to expectations. I originally had it installed in the same outlet as my garage door opener and it seemed to have caused issues with both the wifi signal and the garage door opener.

no wifi - yay!
Wifi on a baby cam seems like a good idea until you read about how many get hacked. Most are foreign-made cheap cameras that require installing a poorly made app on your phone - lots of security problems. This baby monitor has the best of both worlds. You get to see video without running wires because it uses a private wifi network, but it isn't on the internet so you don't have to worry about someone hacking your baby monitor and watching your kid/what is going on in your house. Plus Black & Decker is a reputable company.They've done a good job with this baby monitor. The setup is easy, camera is good, and as mentioned above it is secure. I've never thought of Black & Decker as a baby monitor (or baby anything) company, but they nailed it with this one.
