Great for raspberry pi
Great for raspberry pi. My setup would power this entirely from the pi. (I think I have a 1.5 or 2 amp usb power adapter)The important point - it is a digital speaker system. Not only is there only one cable for power and signal, you don't get an annoying hiss when the speaker is inactive. All the other USB-powered speakers seem to have two cables - a USB cable for power only, and a separate 3.5mm jack for analog audio.You will have to tweak your confit file a little to make this the default output device on raspbian, google "Using a USB Audio Device With a Raspberry Pi" for the recipe.One fun thing to do - make your pi talk:apt-get install espeakespeak "hello there"Update: the buttons on the speaker generate USB keypresses. They are keycode 121,122,123, which I believe is F10,F11,F12 or VOL+,VOL-,MUTE

It worked perfect once I powered it
I bought this so I could play games off of my Raspberry Pi. It worked perfect once I powered it. It would not work without it being powered.

Works great, happy with the product.
Used this to connect my raspberry pi to the VGA input on my monitor.I love that it provides sound output, I run the sound out to my speaker system.

Exactly as desired. Buy it.
Works exactly as advertised. Allows me to run a SoC system. (Think raspberry pi) that would not boot Ubuntu Server while headless. Worked the first time no issue.
