Probably the best variable ND in its class
A few other reviews suggested this was not an ND32 filter. I too did not think it was. I put it to the test and can confirm this does reduce light by 5 stops. I will say though that the “min” mark on the filter is not 2 stops it’s more like 1. But to be fair most variable filters will say the marks are a guide and not an absolute. There is some warming color cast but that is not unique tho this filter especially at this price point. If you are printing large prints there may be some image quality degradation, but it would not be noticeable in most situations.

Decent, not for everyone.
°Likes-nice clear audio. Though they can be "fatiguing" after a more extended session of video games. For those who want more bass they may want to play with the equalizer but even then it's rather low on the bass end, if you're looking for bass these headphones don't have em.-nice clear microphone, very clear actually.-DAC is nice.°dislikes-questionable construction on the hinges that connect to the headband. They haven't shown any signs of breaking down yet but metal hinges on plastic cups is asking for trouble.-the headphones when connected to the DAC sometimes do not register my voice or vice versa and I have to pull the power plug every so often for voice chatting to work.

Good, solid product
For this price range, a solid choice. It has a good cost-performance ratio.I bought the Q20 after trying the Q30. I initially purchased the Q30 but when I made a call on them, the other side of my call could not hear me well. I think it had to do with the placement of the microphone as the sound came out louder if I took off the headphones and spoke into the microphone.I decided to try the Q20 and I think it works well. I also several Bose NC headphones too but I wanted something more affordable to travel with and I could lend to my kids use too.Design - Does not look cheap. No frills, just simple, all black and functional.Comfort - if you haven't used over the ear headphones, this is a good one to start with to see if you like it. It has advantages and disadvantages over in-ear/wireless headphones. For long hours of listening, over-the-ear headphones can be more comfortable.Ear Pads - a bit on the thick side and not as soft but good enough. It does not get uncomfortable after using for a couple of hours.Sound - Quality is good. Nothing really bad to say about it. I listen to movies mostly and I can make out conversations, music, etc. clearly. Has a bit more bass than my preference but good.Noise Cancelling - Works good. Bose is definitely better but for this range, I think it is very good and great for this product range. I have a fan running close to me but it cancels out that fan noise pretty well.Microphone - I tested the call quality and it is OK. Sounds a little bit like you're in a tunnel but it depends on how good of a sound source the receiving end is using. Haven't used it in noisy/outdoors so do not know how well it would pick up in those environments but sound quality was acceptable when speaking in a quiet environment.Battery - Even after a few hours of movies, calls, etc. I have yet to deplete the battery.Bluetooth - no problems connecting and switching between devices. Can go 20+ feet without problems.Charging - micro USB charging so if you haven't adopted USB-C yet, this is much more convenient. Doesn't seem to charge as fast but the battery lasts long enough that I haven't had any issues so as long as I charge it overnight. For this range, you won't be disappointed. Definitely a good buy, especially if you can get it on sale.

Not as bad as I originally experianced
Update. 12/07/2018After posting original review, I've been contacted by AKASO customer service representative and offered replacement camera, which they shipped me free of charge. It arrived this week and I got chance to test it yesterday. Since I knew all the problems I experienced before, It was easy for me to set all those settings that did not work before. Honestly, I'm quite impressed! The new camera came with firmware V6. The image stabilization on 4K@30 with H265 codec works flawlessly. I do not have external mic anymore to test, but I'm planning to get one. I also did not get a chance to test it in a different light environments, but so far it is much better, than I originally experienced with first camera. I wish i had this camera with me on my vacation trip when i had the first one. I guess, I just got a defective one first. This one seams much more promising. I raised my rating to 4 stars from 1. When I test it more, I'll try to get back here and post on my findings. And thank you AKASO for the great customer service and staying behind your product.Original Review. 11/07/2018I purchased this camera a week before leaving on my dream vacation to Italy with the expectation to have high quality recording of my trip. Based on high rank feedback, this camera sounded really promising. I also purchased AKASO external microphone to have better sound quality on my recordings. But the camera does not seem to be up to advertised level at all.1. The external microphone was not working at all.2. The recording on 4K@30K with H265 codec was freezing up intermittently with showing of image distortions time to time.3. EIS (electronic image stabilization) did not seem to work at all when turned on.First problem was to get external microphone working. Searching for the solution, I found on the microphone customer feedback page that the firmware update is needed to get it working. The camera came with V2 firmware. Manufacturer does not have any firmware updates provided on their website. Digging Amazon feedback on the product, I found the link to the firmware V5.It fixed external microphone problem. It started finally working. But two other problems did not improved at all. The EIS problems just became worse. I found EIS calibration file link (again because people shared it not because ACASO provided it on their web site). Run the calibration, but that did not improve EIS. Due to 4K problems with H265 (and some with H264), I decided to record my videos on 2.7K@30fps. But it came out after I returned that nonexistence of EIS just made those action videos horrible. I cannot tell you enough how disappointed I am. That once in the life opportunity to be there and you cannot have records because ALL advertisements regarding that product are simply false! In addition after returning and discovering my plans to have good video vlog were ruined indefinitely, I tried to contact tech support using that get support chat button near the product on Amazon. It is a joke and the support is nonexistent. I spoke with three people. First chat I started from work on my break to find if there is any solution. I ended up not being able to provide some camera info. Returned home at night and started a second chat. The second person (Rose) disappeared to “learn previous records” for a while. Than simply dropped the chat because I “was absent more than 3 min”. Then, I got an email from her stating “I wasn't able to gather enough information about your problem to take action.” It was absolutely insane. The third chat started next early morning ended up with “just return that product”. That is it with AKSO for me probably. I’m going to return all of that. Please think twice before you purchase it and do not make such horrible mistakes I did with it. Despite nice reviews, it does not seem to work as advertised.

Nice USB Mic
This is a very well constructed and excellent sounding USB desk microphone that is an excellent deal for the price. Setup in Windows 10 is a no-brainer and is literally plug-and-play. The included mount is weighted nicely and provides a decent platform for video conferences, chatting or recording YouTube videos. here is no special software or drivers needed. The audio produced has quite a bit more bass response than the average, tiny microphones that are built-in to most computers, phones or tablets. You do have to be within a few inches of it in order to get the best, noise-free audio though as it does not have a lot of directional gain. Thus, it would be nice if it came with a wind screen, but you will need to buy one for it separately to get the most out of it.

Small and mighty.
Really unbelievable for the size and price...and I really hate even putting the "and price" qualifier in there as it makes it sound as though there is a significant trade-off. I do a lot of screen capture recording and this thing is remarkable. Minimal noise and incredible clarity. Moreover, if you are traveling/not sure when you will need it, it is so incredibly easy to take with you. The only small issue is that the case only fits the microphone and not the cable that comes with it...my preference would be to keep the two together. Given that the primary purpose of the case is to protect the mic I am more than willing to overlook this. Three settings on the mic depending on what pattern you want/how much of the room you want to pick up. Again, really, really impressed.

Good headphones for gaming
Overall these headphones are good for gaming. The sound quality is perfectly fine for video games and good for music, however I prefer my AirPods or computer speakers way more. The only reason I bought these is because you can't use AirPods mic on Windows 10 and I wanted to be able to talk in game. So for using them for gaming it's perfectly fine, but if you're an audiophile or just want some really good headphones with a mic I would suggest maybe spending a bit more, or getting a nice pair of headphones and separate mic for your PC. I find that some songs sound really good with this headset, while others sound a little off. Also the 7.1 surround sound is a cool feature, but the difference between the simulated/virtual surround sound in this headset and true surround sound is night and day, so I wouldn't get your hopes up too high for the virtual 7.1 feature, I used it for a bit in Modern Warfare and didn't really like it so I turned it off. That being said, for the price it's not bad and I wouldn't expect much more than what I got. Overall I'm okay with them.Pros:- Long cable- They're comfortable (On my old Beats Solo's that are on-ear they start to get uncomfortable/hurt after a couple hours, but these are over-ear and I've worn them for multiple hours without getting uncomfortable.)- Comes with a cable splitter/adapter (Turns the single 3.5 jack into two separate mic and headphone jacks)- Retractable and flexible microphone- In-line controls on the cable (It has a mute switch and a volume knob)- Virtual 7.1 surround soundCons:- Sound quality (Like I said, it sounds perfectly fine for games, but I find some songs and videos/movies sound a little off, but I guess it's all personal preference and depends what you're watching/listening to. I find in some songs the bass is good but the highs are muddy, and other songs the highs and mids are fine but the bass isn't all there while the same songs sound fine on my PC speakers. But that's not all songs, most songs sound perfectly fine to me.)- Virtual 7.1 surround sound (I put this in pros and cons because it's a cool feature and I'm glad they added it, but like I said sometimes it doesn't sound great and I personally never use it, but some people will enjoy it.)Overall I'd say they're worth it if you're using them for gaming, and they're not bad for watching YouTube, Netflix, or listening to music. Also, I learned this the hard way. If you're on Windows 10 and the mic isn't working go into Settings>Privacy>Microphone and make sure the "Allow apps to access your microphone" setting is enabled. I had it disabled and the mic wasn't working. I reinstalled drivers, restarted my PC, plugged the headphone into different jacks, searched Google for answers, watched YouTube videos. I was getting so mad I thought I got a pair with a broken microphone. Took me 2 hours to realize all I had to do was enable that one setting lol.

Great buy for the price!
Disclosure: I received this product for free. I am not, however, obligated to review the product positively, or at all. My free receipt of the product does not and will not influence my opinion thereof. This camera is a solid piece of kit for the $40 price tag, and is often discounted with coupons for even lower prices. I am very impressed by its performance and it easily edges out most competing cameras in the $30-40 range. I upgraded from an old Logitech webcam that only did up to 800x600, and the improvements are vast. The picture is far more vivid and crisp. While the 1080p video quality on this camera isn't the best in class, it's quite good at what it does. If you can bump it down to 720p, most of the glaring faults of the camera are minimized and for small video windows (such as PIP for streams) I would definitely recommend going this route.I've also used this product for face-tracking via a few applications with great results, notably FaceRig and FaceRig's Live2D Module. If that is your reason for buying a camera right now, this is a brilliant option. You can't go wrong with this camera for that use, and it may save you a few dollars from getting something you don't need. Now the bad: The privacy cover is a nice inclusion. I haven't had any significant problems with it but it is quite flimsy and I'm not surprised that some other reviewers have. If that was their reason for picking this camera, I'm sure they feel a bit slighted. I'm not impressed, but it's also not the reason I wanted the camera, so I'm not disappointed either. The microphone. Oh boy... well, webcam microphones don't have a history of being fantastic, and this is no exception. If you plan to do anything more than Zoom calls or Skype with this camera, spend a few extra dollars on a headset, modmic, or USB desktop microphone. Even a cheap one will outperform this camera's integrated microphone significantly. Again, not what I wanted the camera for, but I would be let down if it was.Good uses:- Face recording for blogs/PIP streaming- Face-tracking in software that supports it- Taking photos using the Windows 10 Camera app or other applications that support it.Poor uses:- Quality audio recording. It's not happening. Sorry.- Fullscreen 1080p video recording. Quality is not fantastic, and this is where it shows the most.Thank you, Amcrest, for allowing me the opportunity to test your product. I will continue to use your brand going forward, and I hope that you will continue to improve in the webcam department... there's room to grow :) but this is by no means a weak start.

No echo and crystal clear... works great for dicta
Although I order a lot (a lot) from Amazon, I don't write a lot of reviews. However, I felt myself compelled to write one for this microphone because I've searched so long and purchased many other items in the quest for what I was looking for.I own my own consulting business that's run out of my home. Many of my clients are based outside of the US and, as such, I use Skype and GoToMeeting quite a bit. Most, if not all, of everyone I talk to uses a headset, which I hate to use. I don't like feeling of wearing one, plus I can't stand going through the process of switching inputs every time I wanted to use it. I wanted something that could sit on my desk and would be there when I needed it.My first shot was a boom-style microphone (think a fast food restaurant) that had a heavy base and could be turned and bent to get close to my mouth. While my voice was clear, people had a hard time hearing me if it wasn't very close to my mouth. Plus, because it was big and had a long arm, it would get in the way when it wasn't in use.I then starting using my old Plantronics Bluetooth headset which worked ok and was smaller and lighter than a boom-style headset, but didn't solve the issue of switching inputs every time I wanted to use it. Plus, because I have a beard, if it wasn't positioned correctly, people on the other end would sometimes hear a scratching sound. Then I found this mic. I was a little concerned because one of the biggest issues we have during our calls is echoing, especially when people use the built in mic and speakers on their laptops. Having this mic sitting on my desk about 18 inches in front of my computer's speakers I could almost guarantee that it would be a problem. However, I was absolutely shocked when I did my first call and the people on the other end were not only impressed with how clear my voice sounded, but with the fact that there was no echo whatsoever. I've since done dozens of calls with no problems at all.Because my voice was so clear when doing Skype and GoToMeeting calls, I decided to try it out with my Dragon NaturallySpeaking application that I had long since stopped using because I hated wearing a headset and it was a pain in the butt to change the inputs when I wanted to use it. To my disbelief, Dragon now works perfectly and I'm actually using it to write this review! Now this microphone just sits on my desk waiting for me to tell it to wake up and I can just start dictating to my computer any time I want. It's really starting to change the way I work, for the better. If you have a need to do online calls and, like me, don't want to wear a headset, I wholeheartedly recommend this microphone. Even if you don't do online calls, but want to use the dictation feature of your computer or of an application like Dragon, I recommend it very much as well.
