This is really small. My immediate thought was that I would only get a small picture projected. Not so! I am amazed at how much this little machine will project.I've not used it on a film yet, but when I do, I'll add to this review.So far - brilliant.Well I've used it with a dvd player. The size of the acceptable image is amazing. Over 2m wide and 1.5m deep - still clear and sharp.One charge will be enough for a 2 hour film. My only gripe is that the sound quality, whilst very good for the size of the projector, is lacking. So far, I can't find a way to connect a sound bar. I usually use the earphone socket but there isn't one. It's good enough as it is but a sound bar would improve both volume and quality. Other than that, an amazing projector.

Works Great! I've been looking at getting a projector for a while and saw that this one was on sale and decided to bite the bullet and I was not disappointed. I was pretty stoaked to see that it came with a case. I like to travel alot and I was worried I would need to purchase one separatly, but to my surprise it came with one that was pretty good quality so I'm less scared I'm going to hurt it. It also came with extra cables witch was cool. I'm mostly going to be using it hooked up to my phone wirelessly but I guess if you need it connected to a PC or some sort of streaming device or video game console it's nice to have those included. Overall I'm super excited to use it and I'm happy I didn't blow thousands of dollars on a portable projector.

I replaced an older projector with this one, and I can say it is brighter for sure. The picture quality is much improved over the older one too. The sound could be better, as this just has a little built in speaker, but I will figure out how to hook it up to my surround system. The directions of use are a bit to be desired. It did take me a little bit to figure out how to flip[ the image, as mine is installed on a ceiling mout and is upside down. I like that I can hook my iphone and other devices to it, but dilike the blocking it does on some apps. I am leaning more towards using this as an outdoor movie night projector though, unless I can figure out the sound issues. Overall, not bad. It would be ok for the family that does an occassional movie night in their home.

I just received this projector today. It had a $30 coupon, so I ended up getting it for $55. Sweet! It does come with a steep learning curve, though. First, it took forever to figure out the input selection because the manual is hard to follow and not very informative. Use the top left button under the power button for input. If you connect directly from a laptop with hdmi, your laptop doesn't "see" it, so you have to use the projector input rather than the laptop. Once I got the picture going, the picture looked vastly different from that on my computer screen. Very poor quality. So, my husband figured out the hdmi cable that comes with it is not great quality. I switched it over to a much heavier duty cable and the picture quality vastly improved. Then, the color wasn't the same, which took me back out to the menu button to adjust color to "cool". It still wasn't looking very sharp, so I adjusted the picture to "vivid" (maybe this is HD?) and that helped. Then changed something else to "auto" and that continued to sharpen it. I'm hoping I can get things tweaked correctly. I purchased Atmosfx dvds to enhance our Christmas display this year and would like to avoid spending 200 on a projector. It would be great if their manual was more detailed regarding the setting options and functionality.

First the "getting started" instructions provided are not really comprehensive so I recommend you download the full manual. Second, as the manual explains, if you want to project downloaded/streaming movies, e.g. Netflix, you will need an additional cable to connect your device (smart phone, tablet or whatever) to the projector. I had to get the Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter (£49.00 from Argos). The issue mentioned in the title is with screen mirroring. It's easy to set up but I found it gets stuck once you have looked at a few photos and you can't select another photo without turning the projector off and then turning it back on - but that may just be user error. That's why 4 stars rather than 5. I would also say the jury is out on how long the charge will last if you are relying on the internal batteries.

 I own several LED projectors and this is by far one of the best at this moment, the picture quality surpassed my expectations and it can even compete very closely with the known brands. The picture is clear, even small text is legible, the contrast is high and much improved from previous LED projectors of the ~$250 range, it is bright enough but you get the best experience in a dark room. The sound quality is excellent, its not very loud but the sound is clear . The best improvement compared to my previous projectors is the fan sound, it is still loud but once you dont pay attention it just vanished. The set up buttons are touch sensitive, they are illuminated so they are easy to see on the dark, the menu is very straightforward. Connecting the projector to wifi and bluetooth is very easy too, the picture menu has some presets but also it can be customized. The image can me zoomed and also you has set up to set the corners though in my set up i didnt have to touch it and left it as it came from the factory, To get the 120 inches to fulfill my screen the projector screen was at roughly 11 feet. The projector comes with a backpack style bag, a standar remote , hdmi and av cable. Very happy with this purchase, it will probably be my permanent set up for family night movies.

Wow what a great projector. I own a jvc-rs1 also for reference. I've avoided dlp projector ever since I bought the first Samsung dlp TV and saw the rainbow effect. It was aweful and gave me an instant headache. Fast forward to today and after a bunch of research and weighing pros/cons I decided the 2050a would be perfect for my living room setup.Let me first confirm to those of you concerned with rbe that there is almost zero instances of it! The only time I see it is on the test grid and during the initial setup. I couldn't believe it! All the professional reviews were right about the 6x wheel almost eliminating it.As far as picture quality, i would say it very very good. Black levels are really good especially on a grey screen. Not quit as inky as my jvc BUT that one cost $3,000 USED when I bought it years ago. Very accurate color in the vivid tv mode with a little adjustment. It's very pleasing to the eye.This projector is VERY bright with very good color brightness too. Crucial for a living room setup. I can play the switch and watch TV/movies in the middle of the day with lots of light and still have a very good picture.Overall I can't recommend the 2050a enough!

This projector is a lot of bang for the buck. For $200 I wouldn't be impressed, but at $85 it's significantly better than expected. First let's start with what's good.-Picture is bright and resolution is good, though I don't think it's actually 1080p as advertised. Hard to say for sure.-Remote works, controls are simple, and you can just turn it on and go, no complicated setup.-Easy manual focus and keystone correction-Included table top tripod is perfect, sturdy and easy to adjust-Wide range of inputs for easy connectivity-Speakers are plenty loudThe bad:-Fan is quite loud-Keystone correction doesn't account for focus, so when using the projector tilted up or down slightly, focus will be off on either top part or bottom part of the screen. No digital keystone correction so there is no fix for this.-Samsung Dex does not work on this. It should, but it doesn't. Gives a message saying incompatible resolution. Which is what leads me to believe this projector isn't actually native 1080p. It should be as easy as connecting wirelessly through Dex, but it just doesn't work.-There are zero picture adjustments. Nothing. No color, no brightness, no contrast, nothing at all. You get what you get.Again, as for sub-$100 projectors, this one is fantastic. That being said, if you have the budget, spend a bit more and get something a bit better. But this will work in a pinch.-
