Necessary evil.
I'm sure it'll be great, once I use it. No dust issues yet but I'm sure that problem will arise soon. I've used similar products in the past (different manufacturer), and it's not a difficult process. Definitely better than sending the camera in for something that you can DIY.

Best entry camera I've used.
I have upgraded to a 60 D. I look back and realize what fantastic images this camera shot!

Awesome! (with good lighting)
At first, I was kind of disappointed with the camera. The quality didn't seem up to all the hype, but it was still better than using my iPhone camera. Yesterday, I shot a video and the lighting in my room was excellent. The video came out absolutely amazing! So to sum it up, this camera looks fantastic, just make sure you have an ample amount of lighting.Note: Camera seemed to shoot in higher resolution on my Mac than my PC with Windows (could be a setting I need to adjust?).

Simple to use and secure
Perfect to attach to my backpack straps and the release is very easy and quick to take a shot. No more fiddling around with zips. Not sure why others are saying the unlock button is stiff as it works fine on mine.

Decent lamps
The "spot" is not very big, for a decent camera shot, I need at least 2 more lamps. A total of 4 for a desktop pic.

Great for podcasts!
Great product for the price. I use these for monitoring my podcast audio while recording. Absolutely love it! Not sure how it would do for vocals in music recording. Might be worth a shot.

Calibrate!
Very easy learning curve; just make sure that you give it plenty of time to calibrate before flight, as mine took off like a shot... found it 1.5 miles away, crashed beyond repair.

Excellent game camera
Excellent game camera that was extremely easy to set up. I get photos in my email within seconds of the shot.

Not a pro camera for sure
In the product description they state this is not a pro camera. At least they are honest. I don't want to belittle the average consumer by saying that you need fairly low standards to like this camera, but the video quality leaves quite a bit to be desired. Yes it records in 4k, but you get lots of resolution of a very soft image. If you are looking at this on your TV from across the room, it will probably be just fine, but close up on a computer you can see just how soft the image really is. I'd say security or backup camera soft. The colors are fine, exposure is handled well, and the auto focus is acceptably quick for this type of camera.Out of the box, I got nowhere with the menus since they were firmly locked in Chinese. After fooling around for quite some time, out of desperation I sat down with the manual (a radical idea, I know). Finally on PAGE 17, the language selection is explained. Though this comes with all the necessary cables, it should be noted that the plugs at the camera are the older style mini-USB, not the now, more common micro-USB.This is not a terrible camera. You get a lot for your money, including a specialized external mic cable, a hard to find full HDMI to mini HDMI, a decent sized SD card, card reader, remote, and two batteries which can be charged in the camera (while using) and with the included wall charger. That's quite a few accessories. There is also dedicated Wi-Fi, local to the camera only-it does not hook to your network. Personally I breathe a sigh of relief when I don't have to load an app that calls home to China every time you use it. The app isn't much however. It always comes up in 1080 and 7 megapixels. Then, while you can reset it to 24 Mpx, 2k is the best you can get-no 4k while using the app, no timelapse, no zoom function.Since this does have a bunch of features, I certainly haven't fully explored the camera yet. That will take a while to learn all the in's and out's, just as with any new device. I did try both the macro and the image stabilization and I have to say that I found both to be ineffectual. Perhaps that will take some additional exploration, but don't count on these features to save the day-especially since they only apply to still shots-there is no video stabilization. As you can see by the attached photo, the lens cap isn't much-in no way does it fit properly. I expected that to be representative of the overall quality of the camera when I unpacked the box. Happily, it was not. The cap was not shipped in place, but rather was inside the box with the other accessories, so perhaps they did the best they could with supply issues in this difficult time.I ran a 48 hour time lapse and it came out fine. Nothing to brag about, but certainly good enough for YouTube, and it happily recharged the totally dead battery at the same time using the included USB charger. This is not a photographer/videographer's camera, but if you are looking for something for casual use, or perhaps webcam use, I'm sure most anyone will be happy here as I'm sure it performs as well or better than any in this price range.
