It just works. I enjoy the keypad add on. I love being able to check to make sure the door is locked.

The option to have a smart lock that can also support a normal or manual key operation attracted me to August Home. I am not disappointed at all with the decision to purchase this product.Works extremely well, app is very functional and integration with Alexa is about as complicated as any other skill I have tried - just takes a little patience and maybe some trial and error.I did read reviews that contained a negative comment about locking or unlocking the door unintentionally or from a greater distance than desired when enabling the auto unlock feature in the app. Have not observed this problem; however, I enable this feature rarely. Opening the app and pushing the lock or unlock screen isn't complicated nor a big time suck.A friend visited, noticed the lock and is now going to change out his keypad smart lock with August Home. He agrees it is a better overall solution. In other words, if you have the opportunity to see it in action, you may select this product.The only aspect that COULD be a problem in the long run is the material used for the device. It is a hard plastic which is a change from traditional doorknobs and I believe most keypad smart locks are metal (?). Definitely not a problem so far - zero signs of wear and tear.Bottom line, I would strongly recommend you consider this product if you are in the market for a smart lock.

Just started using it. Tested it in basement workshop where the motion detector, magnetic backing, lighting, and shut-off worked as expected. The light, at maximum power could have been brighter.

Great performance. Can be adjusted by voice with Alexa or by the app. Adjusts temperature after it learns your tendencies on its own and can tell when you are not home to save energy.

I was hesitant to purchase a smart lock. I am not a tech savvy buyer, however I love this product. It was easy to install, easy to use and provides me with the ability to view access and give access to my home when needed. If I’m away on vacation I’m able to allow a housekeeper in, if I’m late for work I’m able to allow a dog walker to enter without giving out multiple sets of keys. Very happy customer!

Ordered for $134 as a Black Friday deal. Shipping was slow, but expected. The August Smart Lock was easy to install using the directions in the package and the directions in the app. Integrates with my Alexa well. With the Door Sense, I can quickly see if my front door is actually shut or if it's only closed in the eyes of a kid. I have yet to use the feature to give temporary access to people, but plan to.
