Super Impressed with the Quality and inexpensive Price point!
So far this action camera is great, the picture quality is great it offers higher quality images for a more affordable price. The image stabilization is pretty good and I have no complaints as of yet. The battery life is perfect for everything that I plan on using this camera for and having two batteries just helps even more. I am super impressed with the quality of the Akaso V50 X and everything that you get for such a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this action camera to anyone that is on the fence about spending $200+ on one because you get just as many features and just as quality of a product for less money. Hope this helps you out if you are on the fence. I also did quite a bit of research on action camera’s before deciding on the Akaso v50 X. If you aren’t sure then check out a few reviews on YouTube.

Clear sound, beautiful construction, sturdy, and t
This mic is very well made and very compact. The construction is almost completely aluminum, steel and some kind of die cast metal. Folded up and zipped up in it's little nylon case, it's smaller then a business card. The ball joint that allows it to unfold is very smooth and the clam is strong and has a rubber strip on the inside so i cant's scratch your laptop if you clamp it to the top of the screen.I'm surprised at the audio quality... it's perfect, although is sounds a little cold without editing. Audacity can fix it easily. It has 3 settings for the microphone. the cardoid one has the best sound but you'll need a pop filter. It comes with it's own cables, and the mic has a no latency jack on it so you can hear your own voice while you record.I love this mic! don't be fooled by the small size.

Somewhat low output... Had to use Equalizer APO an
This is Like all the USB condenser mics I've tried: low output. I had to install Peace on Windows to boost the gain by 10 dB. Then you get the proper -12 dB peaks.I use a Stellar X XLR mic on my other PC using Audient EVO 4 audio interface. That works great except the Audient interface sometimes doesn't recover correctly when the PC goes to sleep (you have to pull the cord out and put it in again). But THIS microphone doesn't have that problem since it is USB direct. Very high quality and low noise. You could only hear the difference if you heard them side by side. So this mic will give you great quality for a low price.I don't like the stand... not flexible enough. I eneded up gating a Gator Frameworks boom stand that sits on your desk and I LOVE it.

COOAU 4K Action Cam
Before I bought this action camera, I did some research to find a camera that gets the most bang for its buck. At the time, the COOAU 4K Action Cam was the product of choice for many reasons.First on my criteria was to have an action camera capable of using a 64 GB micro-SD card. It appears that the new, acceptable standard is 64 GB at this price range.Though it's nice that the camera itself is capable of taking 20 MP photos, I didn't plan to use the COOAU 4K Action Cam for a still camera. Rather, I intended to use the COOAU 4K Action Cam as a video camera. The COOAU 4K Action Cam is capable of taking video at 4K, but electronic image stabilization is not available at the highest setting. However, EIS is available on the lower video settings.Next on my criteria for an action camera is to have external microphone connectivity. This is important to me because I would like to narrate when video recording on walking tours. I find that you have to intentionally speak loud into the external microphone in order for the video footage to pick up your voice. In other words, no mumbling. When your subjects act naturally, such as laughing and expressing themselves out loud, even the sound input on the camera (without the external microphone) will pick them up fine. The camera comes with two batteries, but no external battery charger. Not having an external battery charger is not a make-or-break decision because the batteries don't take long to charge.A wrist remote comes with the camera, but since I don't plan to take the camera underwater, I couldn't figure out any possible use for the wrist remote until I played back my first footage. Apparently, if you decide to press the start or stop button on the camera, the vibration of your finger pressing the button will pick up the audio. That's not good. Then I figured that by using the start and stop function on the wrist remote, the audio will not pick up any vibration noise at all. Most of the accessories that come in the package are pretty much useless to me as I don't plan on mounting the action camera on a helmet or bike. Even the nice acrylic waterproof case is not of any use because the audio will certainly be muffled from the sealed environment of the case. The one accessory that is of value is the exoskeleton in which the camera snaps snugly into. Note that I had to purchase separately, a handgrip/table-mount tripod to attach onto the 1/4-inch screw mount on the exoskeleton. My opinion about the quality of the video I took? The skin tone on my subject's face appear "pasty" - like excessive makeup on a cadaver. Perhaps the quality of people's skin tone will improve once I begin taking outdoor event footage in the near future. More natural lighting on the subject should help on the color quality and skin tone of my subjects. In summary, I am happy with my research and choice of the COOAU 4K Action Cam as my very first miniature action camera.

Great option for a budget-minded action camera!
Is this a GoPro? No. Does it need to be? No. If you are considering this camera it is because of the stabilized 4K. There are plenty of other options that have 1080 stabilized. The stabilization works great. The first day I had mine I stuck it to my windshield and set off about town. The roads here are not smooth, and the camera handled it with ease. I took video on my phone at the same time to compare, and the shakes and rattles evident in my phone video were minimal (if at all) in the AKASO video. The colors are true and accurate, and the sound is good. I did not mess with any settings, but there is definitely enough options to appease the more critical of the crowd. I have no use for the remote control (yet) so I have not tested its function at all. The battery life is right around 2 hours and the included 2 batteries and charger dock are a welcome bonus. The biggest drawback is the quality of the 1080 video. It leaves room for improvement, but the upside of this is that the hardware this camera is made from (chipset, image sensor) have proven very capable in 1080 on other platforms, so it may be a simple firmware fix. I purchased my camera in August on a lightning deal, and have used it a fair amount. The build quality is good, and the menus are intuitive and functional. The only issue I have noticed with the actual camera is a couple bubbles under the rear touch screen. This has been the case with 2 of these cameras, so I think it may be an issue in production. It doesnt affect the function of the screen at all, nor is it really visible when the camera is on. It is only noticed when powered off, so its not a deal-breaker by any means.About 2 months after receiving it, the case latch broke, a common issue with action cameras. I was bummed out. I reached out to the company and they immediately sent me 2 replacement pieces without issue. After browsing other reviews, I noticed there were comments about the external microphone. I checked my camera and found it to be incompatible with an external mic. I contacted the company again, this time to see if there was a firmware update that would allow me to use that function. After some simple info exchange it was determined that my camera was Version 1, and the company was already distributing Version 6. I was given the option to return the camera for an even exchange. I was skeptical at best, but decided to go ahead. It cost me $11 to ship it back, and within a few days of its delivery, I received a brand new camera and an external microphone. I was/am blown away by this level of customer service, and Sunny from AKASO exceeded all of my expectations. Any hesitation you may have in purchasing an off-brand action camera, I hope I can alleviate with my experience of their customer service.Overall, I would absolutely recommend this camera/company. I have owned other brands, including GoPro, and the bang for your buck is definitely here. I will continue to update this review as needed and as I test out the function of other features. I have not yet had the opportunity to fully test the external microphone capabilities.

Exactly as described
For the price of this camera, I was impressed. I was a little disappointed that it didn't work with windows hello, but it didn't claim to either. It fits any LCD monitor and multiple size screens. I have used the camera on Asus c434, an older Asus gaming laptop, and my homebuilt Asus desktop. It was plug and play on all three devices. The picture quality was very good for this price point. It did lack the added software; however, I ordered an open box and didn't expect it to come with anything but the camera. If you're in need of a nice webcam for your pc or chromebook this is definitely it. It has a much better picture than my Chromebook camera. I wish this would handle face software if it did I would buy more. I recommend this camera for video and picture taking. I have not tried streaming with it but with the added microphone it seems like it would be a very good option.

Solid, easy to use mic
This tiny mic can make a pretty difference in your video conference or mobile podcasting. It's solidly built, and a great size for throwing in a bag alongside your laptop. The clip doubles as a small mic stand making it really easy to position. There is even a threaded hole in the base so you can put it on a mic stand. A simple but really clever touch. The mic itself also has two pick up patterns and built in monitoring- though any other fine adjustments will have to be handled by your computer's software. It's about half the price of a really topnotch USB mic like the Blue Yeti, but if you're looking for something highly portable this is one of the best. It'll beat the built-in mic any day and if you can really set it up properly, might fool someone into thinking you have a "real" microphone. Pretty sweet for such a small package.

Surprising quality considering the price
I would like to add to my original review. I misplaced the first one I bought so I bought another one. My wife found the first one after she washed my shirts and found the original earpiece in the bottom of the washer. Believe it or not it was still working! I don't recommend washing the device but there you have it. Now I have two!Lightweight. I really like the rubber ear thingy that keeps the unit in the ear without a hook. No flashing blue light so it is discreet. Sound quality on my end is good, although that was never a problem with any unit that I used in the past. No complaints so far from listeners on the other end. I am considering using this device as a microphone in zoom to keep the sound from fading when not facing or stepping away from my computer. Recommended.
