I had a Hero 4 for several years. I mainly use it during our ski trip to record my kids' activities. My son has asked for one so he could record by himself when he ski with his friends. I bought this one before our ski try and was quite impressed with it.Pros:- The image and video quality is very good!- Thee battery lasts very long.- Easy to operation, almost the same operations as Go PRO.However, here are the things should be improved:- The sound is not loud enough! When I put it in the case and put on my ski helmet, I can barely hear its operation sound, like 'video start' (or 'record start')? or 'video stopped'. (Go PRO has high pitch beep to tell me record/stop).- The wifi/iPhone app is terrible. App always freeze / crash, can't connect to the device. Pretty much not usable app.

I have not used it yet but it seems to do everything I wanted it to.

This is my second Browning BTC-5HDPX camera and both of them are great. The batteries last much longer than I expected and the day and night photos are crisp and clear. The delivery of the last one wasnext day which amazed me. All in all, a great purchase.

I bought this to monitor my chickens and it has worked extremely well for the me. It has good quality of pictures and good storage. The battery life could be longer but works well enough for my purposes

It's been, oh, right around REALLY FREAKIN' COLD degrees around here for the past few days, so I'm not gonna hike 10 miles into the woods to set up a trail cam for anyone, so the review will have to concern my new "Back-of House" cam.Day One: Set up the camera out back of my house, the same spot I have tested other trail cams, usually catch a deer, a cat, and a raccoon, maybe an opossum. This time, the big freeze of '22 came and for three days the animals said "Eff it, I ain't going anywhere, Jack" and who could blame them? So, no pics but for some familiar-looking idiot walking by every once in a while to check for new pics, which consisted of nothing but snow and the familiar-looking idiot. Time to try something else.Day Whatever (I lost count): There had been signs, stinky little unpleasant signs, of mice in my basement, so I thought I would be clever and set a bowl of dog food on a table down there, set up the camera, and at least have pics of some "wildlife" to show you good people. Two or three more days (it's around Christmas, so I lost count again) and I check the pics and --- I get some really good pics of a bowl of dog food, which I'm guessing you really don't need to see. Sigh.Anyway, the pics of the dog food were really clear, both at night (not sure what set the camera off at night, unless the dog food moved on its own) and the day. The camera seems solid enough, works pretty much as many, if not most of these things work, insofar as the controls and menu are concerned. As other reviewers have noted, comes with memory card and batteries (8 of them), the batteries conveniently (and somewhat concerningly) labeled as "Bursto," hopefully not indicative of what they were designed to do.It's after Christmas, Santa brought me a half-eaten roll of cough drops, a bent nail, a frayed shoelace and a sweater so ugly that it caused my cat to have a heart attack, so I'm tired, mad, sad, in the throes of feline bereavement, and have nothing else to add, except....For what it is, what it does, and what it costs: Five StarsI am the Totally Unbiased Reviewer Dude (T.U.R.D.) and that is how I see it.

Awesome cam ! No complaints..muddy has a similar cam for the same price roughly and two out of the 4 went bad . Had this one over a year 24/7/365 no problems whatsoever ! Texas heat ,storms , cold !

Camera is very easy to mount. Im in the process of building a pond and want to keep an eye on the equipment that will be left there until the pond is finished.

Doesn’t have any fancy features like other cameras, you have to actually pull the card to check the pictures. I was going to return it and buy the camera that I’ve purchased in the past with a screen for viewing on the camera for $20 more but I figured I’d try it out first. It takes great pictures, day and night. Has powerful IR leds that provide plenty of light to capture whatever is out there at night. As for the range I can’t comment because I have it behind my pool and it’s twenty yards to the wood line and it always gets everything passing through. Would buy again.
