Good value, no issues.
I bought an electric bike to get around in parks during camping outings and wanted to try an action camera to mount on the bike and to attach to my chest during hikes. For less than $100 I got a great easy-to-use camera which came with an unbelievable amount of accessories. I also bought the external microphone after watching several reviews on Youtube. There's a lot of glowing reviews here that go into great detail about all the different features of the camera so I won't waste time just repeating all those lists. In short, the camera more than lives up to my expectations and I haven't had a single complaint since I bought it.For people with kids you can turn them loose with this camera and not really spend a lot time worrying about the financial peril like you would with one of those $500 action cameras.I highly recommend trying this camera for an affordable introduction to action photography.

Great Little Action Camera
First impressions are good, the camera has a nice feel to it and despite being plastic it doesn't feel cheap as it has sort of a rubbery coating. This is a superb 4k camera it does exactly what it says AND some. It does 4k native @ 30fps, and 1080p, and 720p the video output quality is superb. I have bought mine for a trip and I have done a few small videos on the 4k it's absolutely fantastic the quality is amazing, the lens is fisheye style so you get a massive view only very minor distortion but it gives a fantastic view when filming almost like panoramic it has a 170 degree lens so it catches everything. You may need to buy a separte card it takes a micro sd but it needs to be class 10 high speed. You get a remote as well which is splash proof (not waterproof) and an enclosure for the underwater scenes but you won't be able to use the remote underwater. Remote is for remote photos which is ideal if you want a photo taken and there is only two of you. It comes with a mixture of things, like 2 batteries 1100mah so you have around 2-3 hours of use on a 32gb card. I am unsure what the maximum size is but it's just brilliant in every way. You get some straps and mounts for bikes and a multitude of other bits, but you can buy another accessoriesSo far so good and overall I am happy with my purchase.

Makes my 50mm 1.2L a heavy "special occasion" lens
I fully admit I have a love hate relationship with Canon’s flagship 50 1.2L. I’ve owned it for years, and it has taken some of my most favorite portraits. However, due to the back-focusing and the weight, I thought I’d try this entry 50 1.8 STM just to compare. And I was pleasantly surprised. This lens is sharp. Really sharp. Pretty much through the range. Subjectively close to the L. And since the back-focusing issues are non-existent, I actually got more usable shots. The weight is a revelation…so nice on my battery gripped 5D3. Feels like nothing, but still solid built.Trade-offs? A nervous bokeh and heavy vignetting. The bokeh is only really noticeable to people who are pixel geeks (like me!). But it’s there. I’ve uploaded a non-obvious example. Notice how the grass around the dog looks like it’s “moving”, vs. falling away or blurring naturally. But compared to the old 50 1.8 ii, the seven blades help with light bokeh. Only when compared back-to-back with the L, do you see that off-angle lights don’t represent as clean. But that’s it.The second issue is heavy vignetting. Lightroom has a one-click preset or that issue. It’s charming, but an annoyance at best. So no real problems there.Last, and now I’m really searching, the colors don’t render quite as vibrant as the L. But remember 10x the price! Again, a little post goes a long way.All in all, for $125, one tenth of my 1.2L, this lens is a dream. Your first lens you buy past your kit lens. The perfect walk around lens. Super sharp. And so light, consider it a functional body cap, or a pancake.Or the best value in lenses Canon offers.

Great quality and super easy to use at an affordab
Great quality with an affordable price! It’s super easy to use too! You just remove the lens cover and click it on! It’s literally a two second set up. Many others who saw me using this have asked me for the link!

Very satisfied for a first-time DSLR owner
I was deciding between a Canon 40D and this camera. For me, the form factor is a big plus, because I plan on lugging this onto an airplane along with my laptop in my carryon. I tend not to abuse my electronics too much, so the whole question of plastic body on the XSi vs. a metal body for the 40D wasn't an issue for me. Two points that favored the 40D: the continuous RAW mode is better (for baby's first steps, or sports) and the kit lens for the 40D is more versatile (a little wider than 35mm and out to 5X zoom, vs 3X zoom on the XSi kit lens). For me, it wasn't worth the extra cost (*edit*: with the instant rebate on the 40D right now from Canon, about $300 difference).I decided to splurge on a DSLR over an point-and-shoot because I always got frustrated with sunset and lowlight shots with my point-and-shoot (I have an Olympus Stylus 400). Either the picture would be blown out or too dark. Also, indoor shots without flash would often be too grainy because of the inferior image processing in my pocket camera. Much less of a problem with a DSLR, where I've been able to twiddle with the ISO and the aperture to get decent shots in all the above-mentioned situations.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product. 4 stars because Canon doesn't include a SD card in the kit (c'mon, even my point-and-shoot came with a weenie card).

Great little camera for the price.
I use is mainly for outdoor shots, either on the tractor, the side by side, or on my bicycle. Only issue I have with it is that the case tends to fog a little around the perimeter of the lens and fogs out the edges. Hoping this will clear up as I use it more.
