Just a tip for anyone purchasing this. Set to 1080p Linear FOV. You can do higher res if you want (I do 2.7k often for super crispy footage)Overall, great product.

The Insta360 One R is a great camera!
A great camera - but just be aware that normal footage that isn't 360 but 'reframed' won't be 4k. Also the 4k mod doesn't produce as crisp as an image as the GoPro Hero 7, and the colours are hard to edit - it would be good if there was a easy way to get the colours on the One R to match the colours on the GoPro. I've tried recording the One R footage in LOG and I record the GoPro footage as flat but they are nowhere near close. If you really want to use the 360 features and post your footage in 1080p this camera is a lot of fun.

great 4K footage
works really well, great 4K footage. This camera has a really hard time in low light, however, which isn't a big deal most of the time but can be a bit of an issue when you're going a time lapse at night. I would like to have a little more control over the shutter speed in time lapse mode, and iso setting, etc, but overall it is very good! If you but a waterproof case from here it can also be used with GoPro accessories, and the 1/4-20 threads are really convenient for mounting on a tripod.

pretty awesome value!!
This costs far less than a GoPro but offers very high quality images and video. I bought for our trip to St. Croix, Virgin Islands and got some great footage. I like to dive down while I snorkel and we also did a discovery scuba dive. I had this down about 40 ft and it worked really well. The waterproof case is sturdy and the camera was quite small actually. I'd say skip the setting to adjust for underwater footage, unless maybe there is no sun that day. All in all, easy to use and the 4K footage, easy toggle from photo to video is great.

Good camera. Outstanding customer service

Worth every penny
It’s an awesome camera for the price but the battery life only lasting at 2 hours is extremely lacking. However 2 hours of 4K footage is still a lot so not much else to complain about.
