I was surprised to find this camera has so many good features for $100. I thought of spending more but did not find any camera with these features and purchased this. I am glad i did it. hikvision has some turret cameras but i found this better..1) This camera has great compatibility with browsers "Chrome". I found out that Hikvision interface and web browser compatibility was not that great in my older cameras. I remember i had to install windows xp to setup the camera and access the admin features. i hope hikvision fixed this in newest releases2) This camera has mic inbuild which is something i wanted so i can save the audio/video in synology. Hikvision does not have microphone input on camera.3) I was looking for great turret outdoor and this fit the bill. Hikvision also has turret models now but i think they don't have great USA support. They are lost in differentiating models and firmware between countries. i bricked my hikvision previously because i uploaded a chinese version firmware in a usa model. why did they allow it in first place and why are the model numbers same?4) This has great compatibility for wall and ceiling install. I installed mine on a wall and was able to verify that it covered all the angles in case i wanted to change video viewing angle in future.

 EKEN H9R has excellent low light performance. 1080p 60 fps look great as it picks up details you don't normally see. 720p 120 fps look grainy, but it gets the job done. The timelapse feature is lacking as photo quality looks a bit pixelated. If you're using this camera for timelapses it's probably better to use 1080p 30fps to record and to time remap in your video editor. I did not test the 4K feature, however, as my current PC can't handle it.The microphone works well to pick up ambient sounds, such as from a car engine and road noises, so at best it's great for b-roll.There are plenty of accessories for mounting that comes with the camera, so you can pretty much mount the camera almost anywhere. The extra battery is a plus and the remote makes it easy to record when you're unable to reach the camera at a distance. A downside, though, is that it does not come with a charger, which would be convenient.Surprisingly, this camera takes road vibrations very well. The video it puts out look great despite the vibrations from the road and my vehicle.All in all the EKEN H9R is a very capable action cam and is well worth the purchase.

Easy setup, camera unit can be attached in many ways either clipped to computer/monitor/desk/etc. or screwed onto a tripod. My small laptop has a very poor quality camera, so this device is welcome addition for projecting a quality image in video calls whatever tool you use (Zoom, Skype, Teams, etc.). No software to install, laptop detected it and it was ready to go. Some nice features for adjusting the size and position of your face in the image using the "AI" features. I still needed to use another light source to adjust the color and illumination for the best picture. The audio microphone function is a bit tricky, I prefer to use a separate speakerphone device and this unit makes it difficult sometimes to use the camera combined with a separate speaker like that. Another small nitpick - the privacy device is a stick-on piece of plastic, compared to some other products that have a built-in privacy screen that can be slid over the camera; I will probably just disconnect the camera when not in use. Portable, easy to travel, great image quality.

Night vision is great quality all around great camera

This camera takes great video and is pretty easy to use. I use it skiing, mountain biking, diving, and motorcycling. In the past, I have used simpler action cameras, without the fancy touch screen - so it did take some getting used to, but overall I am satisfied with the cameras capabilities.Pros: - Image stabilization - video quality - view screen to review video and make sure camera angle is correct - good battery life - great underwater video - ability to attach external microphone is a bonusCons: - audio beeps don't differentiate between record start and record stop. So not awesome when you camera is helmet mounted; you can't tell if its recording or stopping.- Similarly, no visual clues from the front of the camera to know if it is recording.- still photos, taken while video is recording, are very low qualityWhile the cons listed above do limit some of the use cases for the camera, it works very well when held in hand or any time you can see the back of the camera to confirm recording and view. Akaso has been very helpful and responsive in answering my questions. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

This is a great battery powered camera. I am very happy with its performance and it has surpassed my expectations. It seems like one of the best battery powered cams in its price range and does still compete with similar cameras priced almost double. I’ve used this camera for a couple weeks now and I haven’t had any connection problems or any issues really at all. The IP65 rating held up very well as I left it out in a snowstorm overnight. The battery has maintained a very good charge (97%) and at this rate should last several weeks to months (depends on recording settings). The app connects fast and my camera feed loads quickly. I have noticed that it doesn’t detect all motion that I was expecting it to detect but you definitely need to tweak settings after placing the camera where you want it. Things that I’m hoping will be improved over time: camera microphone, app user interface, motion detection algorithm, and the AI model for detecting people, pets, etc. I received this camera for free.

 First thing you'll notice is how small this product is. I've never held a GoPro session to compare it to but this is nice and tiny and compact. It means that I can take it anywhere I want. The video quality is acceptable. You get what you pay for as quality is concerned.What I like about the camera- Size and weight- Video quality is acceptable and goes all the way up to 1440p (a little more room on top and bottom)- Magnet on the bottom allows you to mount it anywhere.What I don't like- Microphone is just so so- Rubber casing that it comes with feels cheap.- Rubber casing also covers the top portion so you can't see the led indicator lights.- Image stabilization only in 1080p and doesn't really help too much.- No mount out of the box- Connecting to the camera via the app can be sluggish.Overall, this is a great camera. I would not use this for serious work or as a main camera but it's a great on the go camera or even an occasional B-roll camera because you can stick it anywhere.
