It will record the user talking but its faint, and the volume and quality degrades dramatically with distance.I think people are being too harsh with some very low reviews when you consider you're getting a high definition video camera with an hour battery life in a tiny package for $150 bucks. Most GoPros are $300. The camera has been very good so far. I gave it four stars for the audio.The wi-fi on the camera is meant mainly to control the camera, and I think it works great for that purpose. It's too slow to view high definition video.One reviewer mentioned that its too slow for action and they wanted to 60 fps camera. Great product!! The range for connectivity is great and I love knowing it doesn’t work off WIFI. Picture and sound quality is great HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product!!

This monitor is amazing and exactly what we needed. I had an old monitor that hooked up to my wifi and utilized an app on my phone. I got tired of always having to log the camera back into my home wifi when it disconnected. (Which was all the time!). Also the old monitor you had to have the app always open on your phone to work.This Eufy monitor has an superb 5 inch display and I can see my baby well. There is an alert that goes off when he cries and the monitor screen lights up. Its so easy to use and we enjoy not having it hook up to any wifi. Its just a GREAT video baby monitor.

The touchscreen is an improvement, such as good as the remote control, that in this model comes in a watch case.The EIS is great on this camera and the pictures in light conditions are incredible.I installed de ISmart Pro+ app and the conection was inmediatly.Great camera, for the best price possible.
