Perfect for my outdoor vlogs!

I have been using the original Insta360 One X for over a year and it's added a wonderful new dimension to my outdoor videos. I get loads of comments asking how the camera just seems to float. The selfie stick and the software do some kind of magic and the results are awesome. I decided to upgrade to the Insta360 One R twin edition as it's a significant improvement over the One X. The One R is waterproof, it's modular, so I no longer need to take the GoPro...I just switch the camera unit and film crisp 4K footage. The 360 camera module is my favourite. It literally films everything, and the easy to use app allows me to frame the scene or even track myself. The different FOV mean I can show all the landscapes off in my videos, but if I want to zoom in a bit...I can easily do so. I've not used the microphone port yet as the adapter is on order but the improved audio will be a game changer for me as I can use this with my Rode Wireless Go. So far...so good. Great image, great image stabilisation and the fact you can quickly edit on your phone makes it a winner for what I need for my Youtube channel

Amazing Value
This action camera from Akaso offers up good quality and won’t put a big dent in your budget. My husband and I had been wanting an action camera for a few years but did not want to spend a lot of money as we would only use it on our hiking and off-roading adventures a few times per year. After doing some research and reading the reviews, we decided on the Akaso V50 Elite and we are elated with our purchase! You don’t get much better for this price range. Shooting in 4K is something that’s a huge, huge plus. You get a lot for your money.Little touches like the image stabilisation and red filter make this truly an action camera. Having just these two things alone means smooth, sharp, colourful images that look awesome. It may not have the “GoPro” name, and it may be a little lacking in some things – the sound quality, for example, really could be better – but, all that said, if you’re on a budget and you want to shoot some awesome movies on your travels, you can’t do much better than the Akaso V50 Elite. A perfect camera for the price.Pros & Cons of the Akaso V50 EliteProsAffordableEasy to useLots of add-ons included (extra battery!)4K capableGood photo qualityImage stabilisationTouchscreenApp controlWi-fi capableConsThe microphone isn’t great

Perfect mic for home recording on the cheap, witho
I picked up this microphone so I could do a little recording and mixing before my band spent time in the studio. I used to have a Shure sm58 for all my vocal needs, but it fell victim to tour-related abuse. The XM8500 is a good quality mic at a third the price of comparable microphones. Only a small tweak of the low-mid section of the eq is necessary to get the sound I want. The construction is sturdy and it has decent heft to it, comparable to other, more expensive microphones. It comes with a case and a clip for a stand, but it fits the standard clip on all of my stands anyway. A normal XLR cable fits snug into the base of the mic without any difficulty or looseness. The mic worked well for weekly use of over two years, but I recently had to buy another one. My original mic was stolen at my wedding (awesome, right?). After a few months without it, I knew I wanted the same mic again. I never had any technical issues with the original mic, and I can only assume the thief will have good use of it for several years. The jerk.I'd recommend the Behringer XM8500 to anyone who wants a good quality mic for home recording or live sound, but doesn't want to spend $100 or more for brand name equipment.

Great quality, needs a better mic
So far I have had the camera a month or so as of writing this, and so far I'm pretty satisfied with it. I use it to record sports (Volleyball) and having the option of a high FPS has been fantastic. I think the product page is not updated or something, as it can record up to 120FPS@1080p, and 240FPS@720p, so there is that.I think the biggest flaw however, is the microphone and the battery life. The mic itself isn't too bad, but it seems to bass out at high volume levels, and it can seem a bit tinny at times, so don't try to become a famous vlogger using this camera. The battery is also a bit lacklustre, recording at 120fps@1080p drained the battery in nearly 40 or so minutes, so I have used a power-bank and simply plugged it into the micro usb port, and it takes basically no power, so I was fine recording for 5 hours. For static recording, I would invest in a powerbank to make sure there are no issues recordingOverall, I think it's a solid camera. It is worth it's price tag considering the features you get with it, and a LOT of fixtures/clippings with it so you don't have to worry about not having what you need to use it how you like, but be wary that you aren't going to get the best sounds or battery life from this, It's not a gopro, but will do what it needs to do, and do it well.

Cool little camera!

I'm not going to write a lot about things most reviewers have already covered so I'm just going to provide some tips. I mostly use it for cycling.1 : Battery life will last about 37-40 minute if you use the best settings and features while recording. Recording at lower resolution, no stabilizer and warm weather will get you an hour+ of battery life. ( cold weather limits all batteries)2. The cable that hooks to the battery charger can be connected to the camera and will allow you to download all your media to the computer. It's much faster than wifi with large videos.3. When in the case the audio recording is not good due to the microphone being blocked. Best solution is to record audio to a separate device and sync to the video later. Or hold the camera and not use the case at all. (This is the case for any brand of action camera.)4. Heat! Direct sunlight in the summer months for a long period of time can cause over heating issues with the camera and you could lose your recording if it randomly shuts off. Try to find a way to keep it shaded. (This is the case for any brand of action camera.)5. The knobs used for the accessories are hard to get tight enough by hand. You can use some pliers and tighten them just enough to keep it in position. But don't over do it. It's just plastic :)Enjoy! It's a fun camera!

Excellent for beginners
I love the simplicity of this camcorder. Just open it up and press a button and off you go. Small and light to carry and produces very good ( not excellent) video quality at a reasonable price. Recommended.ProsComes with a remote control, a USB cable, a HDMI cable,a handheld stabilizer, a lens hood, a 64GB SD card, LED light and mic.At 4K and factory default settings you can shoot for 3 or 4 hours. So easy to use. Just open it up and press the record button.Hidden integrated USB cable.Reasonable still images.Small and light to carry.Wi-fi function. There is a cover on the right side of the body near the lens towards the front, and that houses the USB interface, the 3.5MM microphone interface, as well as, get this an HDMI high-definition cable interface. That means you can plug in a high-def TV or monitor to enjoy your video.ConsIt takes 4 or 5 hours to be fully charged before first use.It is not constantly auto-focusing as you move the camera around. It will auto-focus for you when taking photos or videos, you simply press the mode button when you are focusing on your subject, and then press the mode button again to start shooting or taking your picture. The subject for the auto-focus to work has to be greater than a third of a foot away.

AKASO V50 Elite - Excellent action camera!
After talking to some friends ( some active YouTube content creators and some not) I decided to give this camera - the AKASO V50 Elite a try. I am glad I did! It is a fantastic action camera! Is it perfect? No. But neither is any other brand.I am not a big money professional YouTube content creator, I am a regular person who wants to make videos of things in my life - some to share, some not. Mostly I want to take and share videos of some of my beautiful motorcycle rides. This camera is perfect for that. The TL;DRThe Good- Picture Quality is really good, at all resolutions- Electronic Image Stabilizer (EIS) works very well under most conditions- It is reasonably fast and intuitive to use- Lots of available accessories- Can record while charging- 4K 60fps is good- Seems to be very durable- Microphone works reasonably well, as does wind noise filteringThe not as good- Battery life isn't the best- No EIS at high resolutions (I knew that when I bought it)- EIS is not automatically enabled at supported resolutions- EIS has trouble in extreme vibration situations - like holding it while jogging- 4K60 can be a little stuttery (not sure if its the playback on my old pc, memory card, or camera recording itself)All things considered this is a great action camera at the price.

Happy with the results!!!

As a disclaimer, this review is being written after just one use, for about an hour. This is my first action camera, I bought after just getting my first quad. Tried it out on the trails for a bit today. I thought the camera felt small, but have never used one, so didn't know what to expect. The microphone isn't great for trail riding or capturing conversation while you aren't very close. For a more stationary setup it may work better.I recorded in 4k30fps, h.265 codec. Got pretty much an hour on one battery. 18.3GB used on memory card. I would say you could get 3 hours of video on one 64GB card. I know that I will be looking to add on batteries in the future, to be able to get more than 2 hours of riding. My computer is a bit dated, and video playback from the SD card (in a card reader) is a bit splotchy, so now I need to get a new computer or at least a newer video card to be able to properly review and edit my future rides. All in all, I am quite content with the results from a $120 camera. I have attached a clip from a climb up a hill, which I feel should give you an idea of the EIS and quality of the camera in real use.
