Great headphones with one major drawback
Whats bad:I love these headphones, but I am absolutely frustrated with the on headphone controls, I think they are silly and poorly placed. I have a gaming chair pillow which cradles my neck, and if I move a little bit, it can automatically scroll the scrollwheel to lower or raise the volume on the headphones because they are foolishly located on the rear of the headphones. It's a nice thought, but locating them on the rear and not the bottom or front, really creates an unnecessary annoyance, and it happens quite a lot for me. The other reason this choice seems silly is there is a external dac and soundcard that you can control the volume and controls with a knob, so its redundant, and if they wanted closer controls I would have gone with buttons on a clip located on the wire. I would say this is just about its only major flaw.Whats good:Great soundquality for gaming headphones, I even use them to make beats in ableton and they sound great. They have surround sound DOLBY DTS, a great quality microphone thats retractable and you can hide it out of the way which is nice. I really like the look and feel of the gameDac on my desktop, even if I don't really use it much, the LED display has a retro feel to it which i appreciate. The glowing LEDs on this headphone look cool, and overall its pretty darn comfy with the ski goggle headband and nice fluffy cushions. It might start to rub up on your ears after long periods of use, so its other major design flaw would be not adding cusions to the internal headphone for people with medium to larger ears that might bump up against the headphone speaker, but the cushions themselves are high quality and overall this thing looks and feels great, definitely recommend even with the problems I mentioned above.

Forget GoPro, go with the AKASO!!
The AKASO was simple as it gets to set up. You can use the documentation that comes with it, or just play with it, as it is quite intuitive for use. I set it up for motovlogging with both the 1080p @ 90 fps and then at 2k @30fps. The video quality is amazing! The stabilization is better than the GoPro6 black. The external microphone picks up voice very clear even when riding at 80+mph. Very little wind noise is picked up in my helmet. Everything about this action camera was better or easier to use than my 2 GoPro cameras. I am still playing with this and figuring out which configurations I like, but the quality cannot be beat, especially at the price point. You are getting FAR MORE than what you pay for with this! The manufacturer even provided an extended year of warranty for free on this camera. After the first ride with the camera, I didn't like the way it was mounted and flipped the camera upside down. It automatically flipped the view screen and recorded right-side up. I love this camera! As far as the battery...I recorded for 2hrs and 15 minutes before I received a low battery warning. So, if I get that from both batteries I cannot complain about recording for 4.5 hrs. I drilled holes in the waterproof case to run the external mic and to run constant power to the camera (kind of a battery bypass). Not waterproof any more but I don't do underwater and won't be recording in the rain. The camera came with a basic assortment of GoPro style mounting accessories and arms. I read some complaints on many features for this camera, including the external mic but I have to say that everything is absolutely perfect with this action camera! Perhaps all the bugs have been worked out.You are wasting money if you spend 4 to 5x more for a GoPro. Buy the AKASO V50X and be thrilled!

Good earphones, good multi-device, disappointing a
I'm using this entirely for phone calls in a business setting. My main requirement is the ability to switch seamlesslessly between calls on 2 phones and the computer. The headphones are very good and the app is clean and for the most part works well but it's not perfect. The app (Android/Samsung Galaxy note 9) is disappointing in that it constantly loses connection to the headphones and so you have to close the app and reopen it. Annoying but it's 3 swishes of the finger to cancel and reopen so not disastrous. I don't have my headphones on all the time, so constantly having to turn them back on, and in most cases that means an app reboot. When merging calls on the phone (to create a conference call) it silences the call to announce "call ending" which is annoying, no call is ending and stop interrupting! Would be good to be able to turn these voice announcements off in the app and replace with a readable notification on the app. There appears to be no adjustment to the microphone, yet the mic strangely chose for few calls recently was not transmitting much, forcing me to emergency cancel bluetooth and revert to the phone. Also re the mic, it wasn't obvious and was in no instruction manual that the button for Alexa/Siri turns into a mute button while on a call.Incoming phone calls flip you immediately to the right phone helpfully. Calls incoming on whatsapp however don't seem to make it through to the headphones.Main improvements would be an app that doesn't constantly lose touch with itself, a mic control and a simple ability on the app to flip to the other device if it hasn't done so automatically.Shame you can only connect 2 devices concurrently. That maybe a Bluetooth 4 limitation. There doesn't seem to be much bluetooth 5 on the market. I tried a BT5 dongle for the computer it didn't work at all well.Pretty happy with these headphones, just needs some more work on the app please Bose

Fantastic value, excellent speaker with some trick
The media could not be loaded.

Excellent valueI’ll have to preface this review by saying that I’m somewhat of a snob when it comes to sound quality. That being said, I also listen to a very wide spectrum of music that usually ends up putting whatever speakers/listening devices I have to the ultimate test. However, sound quality is something I’m a lot more flexible on, especially when it comes to portable wireless speakers or music on the go in general. This is actually the first bluetooth speaker I’ve owned in quiet some time- as I usually just opt for using headphones or shoving my phone in a can or something if I really wanted to. So let’s make like this speaker in my kitchen sink and DIVE RIGHT IN, shall we?The speaker itself is relatively small, but packs a punch. I like the added cord that came with it. The buttons are simple to use, and well-explained in the user manual. The package includes its own charging cord, which is very nice. The lights are vivid and entertaining, and typically sync up with the music pretty well. There are a bunch of different light settings, but there isn’t really any indication as to what these settings are within the user manual. These are, however, listed on the product’s Amazon page. A very nice touch, and the lights can be turned off if you want to be visually discreet and prank someone, or if you just want to chill out in the dark to some nice ambient music.Speaking of music; The sound quality is fairly good. I don’t think it’s great. As I mentioned before, I listen to a pretty wide variety of music. Heavy metal really does not do well on this speaker, but it does sound better if you change the EQ selection to treble for heavy metal and similar genres. The bass EQ setting works pretty well for most other genres, and the bass itself packs a pretty good punch. I think it’s awesome that they included an EQ selection option, but perhaps a few more EQ settings could be added in future devices (forgive this comment if this already exists in another Miatone product.) For example, bass boost, treble, and balanced (somewhere right in the middle, which I feel would have worked with some of the music I played.) You may hear some mild distortion, or perhaps even a bit of medium-quality “hissing.” I also found that in bass mode, some sounds are more prone to drop or sound muffled.Another factor in sound quality that is worth noting, is that it will also depend on the device you’re playing it from, which could even be a micro SD card that can be inserted into the speaker itself. My main phone is a bit older, so the Bluetooth technology on it is pretty out of date. I tried it on another, newer phone, and the sound quality improved. Furthermore, music can be played directly from the device with a micro SD card, a feature that I think is AWESOME that they included. The sound quality significantly improved when playing from a Micro SD card. As I said, this feature is fantastic and I’m thankful that they included it, but it might also be cool to have the ability to shuffle the music you throw on there. Once the micro-SD is inserted, the device automatically goes into SD card mode, disabling bluetooth. To enable bluetooth, you must remove the micro-SD. It might also be cool to be able to manually switch between these, or perhaps even if there were a small plastic rivet to hold the SD card within the charging port area- kinda similar to how older video game cases would have indentations to hold memory cards above where the disc would sit. Again, these are merely suggestions and do not detract from my overall score of the product. There are plenty of safe places and ways to store micro-SD cards outside of the speaker, of course. One thing that deserves its own paragraph- the microphone. Wow. So, I guess the microphone is actually under the charging port cover (?) as this isn’t really indicated in the manual. In fact, the ability to take (or if you’re me, reject) phone calls isn’t really mentioned outside of the page in the manual that covers the button combos/operations. I created a voice recording, using the speaker as the microphone, and everything was crystal-clear. I expected to have to remove the charging port cover to be able to be heard, but this is not the case. Nice one!Speaking of the port cover, it can be a bit difficult to remove without fingernails. Considering the fact that the waterproof capabilities are void if the port cover is not completely closed and sealed, one might want to be careful not to damage this as to break that complete seal. Perhaps adding a small rubber extension, some type of “notch” to be able to grip with your fingers may alleviate this. Worth noting, however, is the fact that the battery life is rather impressive, so you might not really need to get into that port too often anyway. A battery-life indicator of some type would be helpful though.Waterproof, you say? This speaker is rated IPX7, meaning as long as it doesn’t go deeper than one meter (3.3 ft,) and as long as it’s removed from the water in under 30 minutes. The manual clarifies this, too! This is awesome for me, as my primary use for this speaker will be around water, whether it be pools, baths, hot tubs, showers, etc. Splashes and accidents are of virtually no concern as long as that charging port cover is completely sealed! ALSO, IT FLOATS!Anyway, overall, this is a pretty great speaker. I see a few opportunities for small improvements in terms of accessibility, but as it is, I’m very happy to have this. The TWS pairing option, allowing up to two speakers to be paired simultaneously, is something that definitely stands out to me. I only started with one, but I’m pretty satisfied with this and may get another soon. The sound quality isn’t the best, but it’s pretty good for the value, pretty great for on the go-listening, and can really bring some life to the party with its volume.

Call quality good but not better than cheaper head
I work from home often and have been using a wired pair of Bose Sound Sport earbud headphones from 2018 that I bought for about $120. I believe the mic is in the volume control, which hangs by your mouth as opposed to the earbud. They have worked great other than the annoyance of having a wire in the way while I am trying to write things down or type. I have never had someone complain about the quality of my call using the wired earbuds. I also have Bose Sound Sport Bluetooth earbuds with a mic that hangs by my mouth on a wire but I generally do not use them for work, maybe because they fall out from time to time. My wife, who has Bose QC 35 II, suggested that I get Bluetooth headset, so I bought these Bose 700s for $379 a couple of days ago. I just started using them in a quiet room with noise cancellation off and have had a couple people say they are having trouble hearing me talking at points during our conversations during work conferences. Most of the reviews I read all over the internet indicate that these are the best Bluetooth headphones for call quality that has a mic built into the earmuff. They may be the best. However, with all of the technology that makes a microphone in the earmuff work better, it is still a downgrade to the sound picked up from a mic that is hanging down by my mouth connected to a wire. This may be obvious to some but not to others. It seems like people are saying the call quality is great in loud environments due to the noise cancelling technology. I mainly take my calls in complete silence, so that is not very important to me.To double check the call quality, I left myself voice memos on my iPhone using both my wired earbuds, Bluetooth Sound Sports, and the 700s. The audio recorded through the wired earbuds was remarkably clearer than the 700s. It was pretty much crystal clear. The Bluetooth Sound Sport Bluetooth earbuds with a mic hanging from a wire were a close second place. The audio recorded through my 700s sounded muffled and quiet. However, you could still hear what I was saying. I am new to the Bluetooth headphones with the mic in the earmuff, so I am not comparing these to other BT noise cancelling headphones with mics in the earmuffs and saying they are worse. Rather, I am hoping this review helps people looking to switch from headphones with a mic near their mouths to a fairly expensive pair of headphones with a mic in the earmuff. It is not the same. The noise cancellation in these headphones is truly amazing. Basically, it cancels all noises in my house (AC unit, TV in the other room). My office has no door, so this is very important. It generally only lets voices through but at a lower volume level. I can shut out my grade school age daughter while she talks to her friends on her iPad. The noise cancelling at max seems to put less pressure on my ear drums than my wife's Bose QC 35 II.The sound while listening to music is typical Bose sound profile. That is, it is a high quality sound for Bluetooth headphones but not an audiophile's dream.I think these are perfectly comfortable for me to wear for about eight hours. Bose QC 35s are also comfortable and my wife prefers them to the 700s because of the increased clamping pressure on the ears from the 700s compared to her QC 35s. I have big ears that fit within the ear cups.Overall, these are good but expensive headphones. The best part about them is the noise cancellation. The microphone in the earmuff is a downgrade from a mic near my mouth in a quiet room, which may seem obvious, but maybe not to all. I have not tested calls in a noisy environment but supposedly that is where these really shine.

Best device of its type I've owned
I've owned several "sleep machines" over the years, including electric fans, air cleaners and humidifiers chosen for just the right sound (and not so much their intended functionality). In my experience a decent-sized fan with a relaxing low timbre beats the sound machines in most cases. However, a large fan isn't always the best thing in a small bedroom. It doesn't look very sharp, and the rushing air isn't always welcome. So I'm always looking for a good sound machine. I'm mostly interested in white noise, so I generally don't use the other settings on machines like this except to play with them for a few minutes before finding the right "waterfall", "rain", etc. setting that I can live with for actually sleeping. The Ecotones has a decent-sized speaker, and a white noise setting that seems to have been tuned with more care than most. It also supports introducing variations in the sound to keep it from being too predictable. And it has a microphone that allows it to briefly spike the volume when there is a loud background noise. You might think this wouldn't be very effective since, at best, it can only work "after the fact". But it actually works pretty well because the trailing rush of continuous sound added to the sharper spike serves to make it less noticeable.Overall this is the best device of its kind that I've owned. The construction quality is good, and it's pretty attractive (although I would prefer a matte front face instead of the shiny black plastic that's in vogue these days). Also, although I think controls should stand out, I would prefer something subtler than faux chrome. After all, this is going to become part of your bedroom decor. Still and all, it looks better than most of these devices, thanks to the swoopy shape and chunky construction.

Good camera but not the best mic
I'm not sure how common it is that people use the microphones built into webcams but most of them I've tried are relatively terrible. To be honest, this one isn't as terrible as most but I've found it inconsistent. I've done recordings that sound clean, if far away (it depends on where you place the webcam; I have mine mounted to the top of my monitor) and others sound noisy and tinny. It may depend on the app but I would say that even a cheap USB mic placed close to your mouth will sound better than almost any webcam. In some cases, I'm not sure this is a real step-up even from some laptop microphones. My work laptop, a Dell Latitude 5490, has a terrible webcam but the microphone audio isn't completely terrible and many of my co-workers (we're all remote) use the laptop as webcam and microphone and we haven't all lost our minds yet. Nevertheless, depending on where you place this webcam, it can sound better, especially if you have your laptop closed and sitting behind your monitor as I do.The video itself is pretty clean, and with good lighting, looks great. I had to alter my shot a bit because this camera is able to zero in better on things I'd prefer not to be seen in detail, like the clutter around my desk. I note that it is very clear even in bad lighting that the video coming from this camera is superior to any video coming from the average workplace laptop. And while the camera does tend to focus on your face by panning and zooming a bit when you move, this can sometimes be distracting to the person with whom you're video chatting if they're not expecting it. I do expect as this concept becomes more common as it's a feature on iPads and some other devices, people will get used to it. But for people used to boring work Zoom calls with static blurry video, seeing you suddenly zoom into the center of the screen when you first start the chat can hijack the conversation. But I don't necessarily consider this to be a negative. It's just something to consider. I don't do many video calls and since I've had a number of cameras, seeing a different view of me isn't super new for people anymore. That said, the effect of following you around isn't quite as quick and smooth as what we've seen on some other cameras, including iPads. It does work but I do wish I had a little more control over this with a remote control since I'm not able to install any software on my work laptop. For work calls, I'd like to be able to settle on the level of zoom ahead of time and not have the camera decide for me. But I think different people are going to feel differently about this. It definitely works and if you're the kind of person who maybe does calls from a standing desk and you want to be able to move around a bit, or you're in a room where you're writing on a board or something like that, this camera being able to follow you on its own and not requiring a remote could be a lifesaver. In terms of video clarity and audio quality, this is an above average webcam and it's priced competitively against some other similar 2K and 4K webcams that don't have the follow-you feature. I'm not going back to my J5 4K webcam or my Logitech C930e as this is better in almost every way. So I'd say it's worthy of serious consideration if you're looking for a solid 4K camera, but this is a competitive market and there are always new cameras coming out, so do shop around for the best deal for you.

Amazing quality at an amazing price!
This is my first review of a product, but I had to make one for these head phones. I bought them mostly for my job, but I also wanted a pair of head phones that I could bring home and use for PC gaming and also something that would work on my PlayStation 4 pro as well.. I bought this model particularly because of the claimed 16 hour battery life and I'll tell you what, it's actually closer to 18 hours. Which is amazing. Also the distance these stay connected when I'm away from my computer at work is astounding. I work on the top 2 floors of a 4 story office building and I can literally go anywhere on the top 2 floors i work on and still stay connected to my computer (except for in the elevator lol).. The ear piece is very comfortable and soft and doesnt hurt my head after wearing them for an extended period of time. The sound quality is amazing. The software is easy to use and the presets are all useable depending on what you are doing and it is just as easy to make and use custom settings. The 7.1 surround sound is better than I could of hoped for and is simple to turn on and off when it's not needed. The microphone is crystal clear and the noise cancellation works amazingly well, especially considering how loud of an environment I work in and ive never had an issue where the person I am calling had an issue hearing me because of background noise (which was a big issue with my last headset and The main reason I decided to buy a headset at this price range). The only sort of negative I have for this headset is that they are pretty bulky and heavy, but I think that with all of the positives and quality of everything else your getting with these, it's pretty much a moot point. I would definitely recommend these more for home entertainment and gaming and such, but they make a great set of work headphones as well. I give these 2 big enthusiastic thumbs up!
