The idea behind this device is to provide a exact distance to the next target (hole) so that the golfer can have information enabling them to better formulate the best way to proceed. That is paraphrasing the explanation the golfer in my family gave me. He was excited to receive this range finder because it has a lot of great features such as the usb charging capability, the magnet that allows placement on your golf cart, and laser focusing. He has not been able to use it on the course yet due to weather conditions but had been practicing using the features like the slope and laser to measure the distances from our deck to the neighbors trees and mailboxes. He is very happy.

I have tested many range finders and most were junk. In fact up until now all but one were junk. This is a the second good one I have come across. It has a nice feel to it. It is light they all are but it doesn't feel cheap. The most important part is it is easy to use and accurate. The battery holds a good charge which is icing on the cake. I would buy again and I would have no issue giving this as a gift. 5 STARS
