Great telescope
This is a great telescope. It's the first one we've had and we are very excited every time we use it to scope planets. We have seen Jupiter and some of its moons, Saturn, and amazing images of the moon. We haven't used it so much because it has been raining a lot but I can't wait to try and see other planets.Bear in mind you need to set your expectations right, a telescope around this price range is not the Hubble, but in my opinion this one is a great value.

The Planets are White, Child Paints, Can Be Frustr
This is a great little kit. The first one I purchased in a brick & mortar store was easy breezy, just attach the colored planets to the corresponding bars. This kit, however, has uncolored planets so the child will have to paint it. My son got frustrated several times but he can be impatient (he's 9). This would be great for kids who are used to art projects that have to be done in sessions (let the paint dry before you add another color) and who have a focused, steady hand.

A good, portable, first telescope
Lets you see both planets, nebulae and galaxies, while remaining highly portable and easy to set up. It's easy to get a telescope that it neither portable nor easy to set up.

What a telescope
So far after only a few nights I am blown away by this telescope. I had an old Simmons 60mm 800 fl that I got as a kid and recently started looking toward the skies. I could view Saturn with it but it was pretty strenuous on the eyes and you barely see the rings and Jupitor was just a larger dot. So I bought this scope hoping that with the nearly double size I could see more. Boy can I see more. I can see the moons of Saturn now. The only kind of let down was that I thought the planets would be bigger. They actually are smaller because of the smaller focal length and larger mm eye pieces. However, the planets are brighter, crisper, and easier to find. A Barlow lens and investing in a small mm eyepiece will solve dilemma of smaller planets.I highly recommend this scope to anyone wanting to go outside every now and then and see the skies without spending a car payment.
