Works well
Solar panel has ran my GardePro E5 continuously even with the camera taking 1,400 pics a day because of false triggers. Very good adjustability to get the right angle for the suns position. A great value and will pay for itself in battery savings.

GardePro E8 Trail Camera, 32 MP uses Standard size
The GardePro E8 Trail Camera with 32 MP was purchased from Amazon and received September 1, 2021. (I recently returned a problematic wildlife camera which had a much higher MP.) The manual was very good and well thought out, which seems to be rare in these days. The GardePro E8 uses a normal sized SD card which is good for larger fingers and easier to find if dropped in the woods. I chose a SanDisk Extreme SDXC UHS-I Card with 128 GB, which it recognized. The GardePro E8 Trail Camera was easy to set up. 8 Energizer lithium batteries were installed as recommended. They were tight after installation which was good. There was a battery guard which is fast and easy to remove. The GardePro E8 Trail Camera was easy to set up.It came with Wi-Fi set to On, which I shut off using the Menu button. When selecting Off to disable the Wi-Fi, the camera will operate in stand-alone mode and save battery power. The Wi-Fi can be set up later, if desired. Then I set the still picture quality to 32 MP.Instead of using the included strap to mount the camera, I set the GardePro E8 Trail Camera up using a Cuddeback Genius Pan Tilt Lock Mount. The Cuddeback Genius Pan Tilt Lock Mount easily allows left/right and up/down tilt. This Cuddeback mount comes with two wood screws, so I attached it to my cedar house. It could be mounted to wood fence post, wood deck railing, etc. Or, one could buy two metal screws or the correct small-sized bolts, and install the Cuddeback mount on metal. The Cuddeback Genius Pan Tilt Mount cost about $16 at the time of writing this. The best parts of using this mount are the ease of quickly removing the camera versus using a strap. It is easy to set the camera at your chosen ideal angle using the Cuddeback Genius Pan Tilt Lock Mount. The camera can be moved or replaced in about 2 seconds, which comes in handy when removing the SD card. The camera slides on and off the Cuddeback mount.Note: The Cuddeback Genius Pan Tilt Lock Mount uses a Star bit T25 in order to tighten and loosen the tilt. You do not have to buy one, but it makes it easier to tighten well. A good tightening may keep a pesky squirrel from moving the angle, if it were too loose. A few years ago, I bought a Bastex Security Screw Hex Bit Set with ¼ inch Magnetic hex driver which fit into my cordless screw driver. The $11 set included the T25 Torx/Star, which came in handy for adjusting the Cuddeback Genius Mount. There are several choices in the Camera Menu. Typically, video can use up a lot of battery, so I set it to take still photographs.Interestingly, setting the Detection Delay to 5 seconds gave me about 80 to 120 pictures in a 24-hour day. I changed Detection Delay to 10 seconds and got about 45 to 60 pictures in a 24-hour day. I viewed them on computer on most days. Then using cut and paste, I put the better ones on a folder in the computer for saving. Then reformatted the SDXC card after putting it back in the GardeProE8.I think the pictures are good quality, but decide for yourself. Sadly, the pictures show much better on my computer than online, so I cannot show those better pictures. This could be due to the enlargement capability of some computer programs. If this camera has problems, I will update this. Good luck in choosing your next trail camera!

Really pleased with this solar kit!
I had recently gotten a GardePro E7 trail camera. I loaded it up with batteries, but found that it was going to eat through them pretty quickly. So I looked into solar battery options.I found this unit, and decided to pull the trigger.Boy am I glad I did! It works great!Like others have said, the mounting kit isn't great. And the instructions aren't awesome. But there's really nothing to it. And once you have the switch set to the right voltage, you should be good to go!I check the camera via wifi every day, and have been really please to see that the battery is at 100% all the time!

Better than I was expecting
This is my first trail camera. Given the huge amount of competing products I decided to "pay my money and take my choice" based on reviews of other products by GardePro. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product so far. Setup was very simple and the internal display is crystal clear. Once installed, I used the Wifi mode to connect to the device with my Android phone and was surprised that it worked first time and was very reliable. Within a day, I was capturing images and video of the coyote that regularly visits our property. The most surprising part of the purchase was that I could connect to the camera from about 120 ft. away. I was able to connect, review, download and delete pictures. Granted, we have very little wifi interference where we live but it is much further than the advertised 45 ft.This review was written within a week of the purchase, so I can't really comment on batter life or overall reliability. However, my initial impressions of this camera are all positive so far.

Wi-Fi App Works as Advertised and Great Image Qual
Only 3 days on the job, but this GardePro E6 is excellent so far. Great night still shots and videos. What I really bought this for was its ability to connect to my phone via its wi-fi. Granted, I have to go outside and get close enough to get the connection (signal is quite strong at 10 ft), but I can see what's on the camera and get files moved to my phone without ever having to open the camera case and remove the card. The downloads to the phone are surprisingly fast; about 3 sec for a still shot, and about 15 sec for a 30 second video file. Unlike the first junk I got stuck with in 2020 (wi-fi app never did work, they sent me a 2nd camera as "compensation"; neither one is still functioning), this GardePro E6 worked perfectly in allowing me to view what's on the camera and download what I wish.
