This is a great one. The trigger speed is 0.1 second, I don't miss anything anymore. It says 100ft night range, actually detects to 82 ft, but beats most of them. For me, this camera is my go to when I need something extra. The audio is great, I get to hear things when they do not show on the video.

Tres bonne cam Pro

Wired, Steelseries Arctis 5 Review
After vacuuming up the cord of my very old Razer Cacharias (?) headset, it finally declared its death when my Discord group mentioned I was cutting in and out, and so it was time to replace my headset. For a very terrible 3 months, I bought a discount headset with plasticized ear cups, and while I could hear and communicate, it was very uncomfortable. I was looking into other Razer alternatives but didn't really feel as if their features were as interesting as the Steelseries, and I also had a few recommendations for Steelseries from others. Attach to it RGB function (my tower is needlessly fluorescent) and I decided to plop down the funds for this wired version. I've never been a fan of wireless, just something about connection and not having to worry if the wireless is up in a clutch moment is just my style. The headset is very stylish. I'm a small person, with an average size head and average but slightly pokey-outey ears. The fabric and the stretch fabric on the headset is very comfortable and breathable. It angles just a touch forward when I wear it, which is not noticeable after a few minutes. The retractable microphone works very well, and my raid leader says I'm very crisp - definitely not the case with my knockoff cheapo headset.Length of the plug leading from the headset to the dial toggle is very generous, as well as from the dial toggle to the computer. Due to USB hogging I have to use the top of my tower USBs, but no problem at all, very forgiving in length. I haven't had it fall out yet but I'm not headbanging while raid healing. The dial toggle is very cool! I can use it to easily mute out game noise if there's an issue, or vice versa if everyone is just talking about nothing and I want to tone them down. At neutral, it's equal for both.RGB functionality is initially a bit complicated looking but is through Steelseries' app that you can download, and you can make separate profiles. I have a violet/blue shifting thing for my Tauren Shadowpriesting and have several other profiles - glowing gold for my paladin, green for druid, etc. And there are sound function toggles.Sound is great, crisp, and no reverb at all. The surround function at least in World of Warcraft is excellent and positionally is usually great, although for some reason sometimes when I'm mounting up on a specific mount the sound will originate more to the left, but, this isn't always, and maybe is a function of my setup.I especially like this for Youtube progressive house mixes, bass turned up! The noise cancellation is not really cancellation, but the muffling is enough that it takes out more ambient noise. I live by a freeway though, so there's nothing killing that noise. Definitely softer.I really like this headset. I would recommend if you're in the market, give this a good try, I hope mine has a lot of life left in it. It's a lightweight headset and the cords are fairly lightweight but give you great range. Also a good wow factor, if anyone is watching you game, and I can make it match my tower RGB, hah hah. The little things, eh?

Pleasantly surprised by an accidental discovery
My Razer Seirēn died in the middle of my recording a series of training podcasts. Apparently, five flashes followed by a pause means the unit is out. Although Razer says they'll send me another one, I'm on a deadline so I ran to Fry's to get another. Sorry about that Amazon, there was no one-hour delivery option for microphones. Under the Razer Seirēn boxes, the Blue Yeti offering called out. Checking the reviews and comparing features, I decided to save a big chunk of change and try the Blue Yeti USB Microphone Blackout Edition. Here are the first things I've noticed:Plug and play, what a concept. The Razer Seirēn requires download and installation of an obtrusive piece of software that always delays start up of my system while it connects with the mother ship to download my settings. Yes, it looks cool, but it continuously needs upgraded and always takes time and real estate. The recording sound is great; but, I hate obtrusive software that operates in the foreground when I'm not using the hardware, and that operates like a worm that continuously exchanges data with the manufacturer. With the Yeti, I plugged it in and started looking for the drivers and software; nowhere to be found. Just when I started to get frustrated, I realized Yeti had been working since the moment I plugged it into the USB port. Perfect integration. On that alone, I'll probably have a refurbished Razer Seirēn available for sale in a few weeks.Mellow sound. Since most of my work is in developing voice overs and podcasts for training and education materials, I almost exclusively use the cardioid mode. I'm not an audiophile, so can't give you the technical specifics. But, to my ear, the Razer Seirēn seems to produce a crystal clear, almost tinny sound, while the Blue Yeti seems more mellow. I think my preference is for the Blue Yeti mellow. Playing with the gain and distance I can't replicate the tinny sound I was getting from Seirēn. But, the difference is stark enough that I need to redo the voice overs for a couple presentations so I can have a consistent sound on each panel.Website. Razer produces systems and solutions for gaming. The Seirēn is a minor product buried on their site, with a support page that has broken links and little information. I hate having to break down to call customer support. A live person did answer on a Saturday morning and quickly determined that they need to ship me a new unit; good, it wasn't just me--and kudos to the Razer live support offering. The Blue site seems to be exclusively serving a passionate and engaged recording community; so, I'm getting the feeling that--if I need it--it will be easier to find answers and I won't have to learn about Blue's live support option.I'll add some more as I discover other differences. Meanwhile, for price, quality, performance, appearance, usability, and compatibility, I'm rating Blue Yeti five stars.bd

Awesome, little 4K camera.
I have been researching sports cam for a bit now and I splurged on this AKASO V50 Native 4K camera because other reviewers said the quality was similar to the much higher priced, GoPro.When the camera arrived, there were a bunch of accessories with it. Since I won’t use most of them, I had to get myself a container to keep everything in -- just in case you found yourself wanting to try out a new mount. Some of the popular accessories such as a floatie stick, head strap, chest strap, etc. did not come with the camera but there are a bunch of options out there for additional purchase. The other accessory you will need is to purchase a microSD HC card, 32GB or lower. There is no internal memory so don't expect to save clips on your camera. As for the camera setup, it was quite easy with a few issues. First, it was hard to open the original packaging! Second, getting the camera out of the protective, waterproof case took me a while. Also, the batteries come with a pull tab on them. This is for removing the battery out of the camera, not to make the battery accessible. I peeled off the pull tab before realizing this -- so, some literature in the instructions would have been helpful there. For getting the mechanics set up the way you want, it is a touch screen and easy to navigate through your options. The quality of the captured video is quite nice. The outdoor, sunny video clips looked the best and true to 4K quality. At night, the picture is a bit grainier, which was to be expected. Even the larger HD handheld cameras from Canon have a hard time producing quality video at night. I was really pleased with the quality of the videos; the few photos I took looked nice as well. Battery life is pretty good as well. It comes with two, so you can have a fully-charged battery for backup. The audio was iffy -- not the best as it makes a lot of popping noises when people were talking as if the microphone couldn't handle the frequencies. I wouldn't plan on capturing a lot of dialogue without soundproofing first. For those interested in file output, the video files are .MOV, which makes it nice since it can import directly into iMovie or other editing software. I just drag and drop the files from the microSD card to my computer, thus making transfer a breeze. The phone app that is recommended for this camera. When the camera wirelessly connects to your phone, you can view your video and photo files on your phone and transfer them over. My phone doesn't have a lot of space, but this is nice if you want to upload a clip or photo to Facebook or other social media.Another big plus is the waterproof feature. However, when I'm not planning for it to get wet, I like to keep it out of the waterproof case since the case adds an extra film over the lens, which can make the picture not as sharp. The best thing about the camera is its size and portability. Without the bulky case, you can slide it in and out of your pocket to capture some nice video without it being too obvious or cumbersome.A good, solid recommend for those who want to add a sports cam to their video technology.

Vastly improved over the watch they released earli
This is my second TicWatch. I really love the dual display, its such a battery saver and it adds a little more functionality over watches that just go dark when you are not looking at them. Think of mixing the original Pebble watch with a current smartwatch and you get the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS. Its got all the functionality of any other Android wear device with the amazing battery life of the Pebble if you choose the right options when setting it up. I have it set to wake when I look at it and I still get two or three days of battery life if I want.I generally charge my watch at night and I don't use the sleep function but I decided to try it out with this watch since its very comfortable to wear and the buttons don't stick out so far that they catch on things lie sheets and pillows which was a problem with other watches I've owned. The sleep function works well but I did not really find it useful enough to try to figure out some other time to charge the watch since my daily routine involved charging it at night already. I'm not sure when you would really find time to charge it if you use it to track sleep so that's really the only con regarding that feature.I repair medical equipment for a living so I was amazed that it included Oxygen saturation measurement. This basically measures the amount of oxygen in your blood and when paired with the heart rate monitor and the sleep function it will tell you if you are experiencing sleep apnea which is an amazing advancement in smart watch technology.I also tried the TicBreathe and TicZen features which has a short 1 minute breathing exercise to help you meditate and relax. I have been practicing shore meditation daily for years now and this function does not disappoint. Its pretty simple, just breathe along with the animation on the watch and you will find yourself relaxing. Nothing special but its nice to have it available if you feel the need to use it.Some other things I liked over the previous release are the backlit display option, if you want to go with the secondary display all the time and only activate the color display on demand you can have the watch light up when you look at it instead which saves battery but makes it nicer to look at. Also this watch includes a microphone and speaker so you can use the watch to place and answer calls which is great. Its a little thinner and the black bezel looks a little cooler compared to the metallic silver bezel of the previous model. The buttons do not stick out too far as I mentioned earlier and I don't find myself pressing them by mistake when bending my wrist which was a problem for me with other watches.Overall I think this watch is close to perfect. I've been wearing smartwatches since the Pebble first came out, I've owned 7 smart watches over that time and I have never been 100% satisfied with any of them but the TicWatch 3 with GPS is about the best I've seen so far. Don't hesitate to grab this watch for yourself. You wont be sorry!

Great Camera for price point.
The media could not be loaded.

INTRO:I received this as a gift for Christmas and so far have been very happy with it. I was considering a little cheaper brand for my own budget before receiving this as a gift. I have put it to use this summer with Kayaking, snorkeling, bike riding, hiking.STILL PICTURE:The image quality for still pictures is pretty nice, if you have enough light. I am not expecting this to be the same quality as a phone or SLR camera, so I will be using editing software to help correct for some of the lack in quality.VIDEO:The video quality is actually pretty good. I think the quality is a little better when being used outside the waterproof case. The video doesn't seem to have the crispness I would expect from seeing 4k videos, but I do not have another action camera to compare it against. It would be nice to have a little higher frame rate. I haven't shot much of the other resolution options. The microphone is o.k. quality. I haven't taken many videos of it outside the waterproof case (which muffles the sound dramatically).ACCESSORIES:The accessories have fit my needs for the most part. I just need to have a way to mount it to my head during bike rides and kayaking for POV videos. I tried the clip that came with it which I clipped to the cables of my bike handle and made for shaky video. Not sure what some of the straps and Velcro accessories are used for but I am sure I will be able to figure it out eventually as I try to find different ways to mount it.The underwater case has worked great so far, no leaks and is nice quality. This has been my most used accessory, as I am often filming around water. Note: Make sure to use the diving mode and orientation feature when attaching to a snorkel. I just found these features when struggling to mount this on a snorkel and realizing that it would not allow me to capture video in the standard orientation.FEATURES:I have really enjoyed the compact size and quality of features, video and pictures. I am still learning the all the options for shooting in different environments. One of the best features/accessories has been the remote that comes with it. I can start shooting video and take pictures(while shooting video) without needing to touch the camera. This is nice when it is mounted just out of reach and a convenient feature overall, probably the best part of this model.Battery life seems to be standard for these type of action cameras. The touch screen is also a nice feature, it beats having to fumble with the button navigation when using it outside the underwater case.CONS:The only problem that I have had with the camera is that there was a small, somewhat deep scratch (finger nail click depth) on the lens when I received it. I hope they up their quality to keep this from occurring for other customers.OVERALL IMPRESSION:Would I buy it again? Yes, it is a good price point for quality and features of the camera and accessories. I am very happy with this being my first action camera. I would like to see what other products AKASO has to offer. I would be nice if they could include a diagram of the menus/options to become quickly familiar with all the shooting options. Thanks AKASO.

A Very Nice Sound Machine, but Don't Expect the Im
I've been sleeping with this sound machine on all night every night for the past few months. I live in a condominium and I sleep late so I'm constantly bombarded by upstairs neighbors running around on their wood floor, landscapers mowing outside, dogs barking, and loud talkers. This is a very nice sound machine but let me be very clear for those who may be confused: this sound machine does NOT work miracles. What do I mean? Well quite simply, this machine absolutely does NOT entirely drown out any of the previously mentioned noises. What it does is provide a nice base of "colorful white noise" that make other abrupt noises less startling and less likely to wake you. Since you can choose the sound effect that's most soothing to you, I see it as a better solution than just turning on a fan or purchasing a machine that only makes "white noise".While the "adaptive sound technology" is kind of cool, it really doesn't do a *whole* lot in terms of drowning out the noises. Sure the sound of the brook becomes louder when the lawnmower is going by my window, but it absolutely doesn't cancel out the noise from my ears. Think about it: if the offending noise has to make its way to the microphone for the machine to recognize it, the sound is probably making it to my ears as well. So before you purchase, consider the fact that this machine, once again, does NOT cancel out environmental noises. The demo on their website that renders unpleasant sounds completely inaudible over this machine is absolutely false advertisement (not that I really believed it in the first place, but you shouldn't either). With all that said, this is still way better than any other sound machine I've ever heard. It doesn't sound like robot birds or crappy frog croaking loops. The sounds are all quite pleasant and you're almost certain to find one that appeals to you. I personally like the brook sound because while it's a little loud at first, I find it does the best job of masking the external noises. However, during naps it doesn't get any better than the fireplace -- sounds just like a real fire on the beach!Overall, I give the unit 4 stars. It doesn't work nearly as well as [falsely] advertised, but it's built well, the sounds are nice, and it's much better than other machines of this type that I have heard. And it's a lot more interesting that boring ol' white noise (although that noise IS included!).Update 7/5/2012: I had a power outage this morning while my sound machine was running. When the power came back on about 8 hours later, the power light was blinking but I was unable to get any buttons to function. I hesitantly put in a call to the manufacturer the next day, knowing I was 2 months out of warranty and not expecting too much. The phone was immediately answered (no hold) by someone who obviously spoke English as a primary language. I explained my problem and told him I knew I was out of warranty to which he replied "no problem". He took my address and is sending out a new memory card with installation instructions to fix my corrupted chip. A+ for service!

You don’t need to buy a lot of extra stuff!!!
YOU DO NOT NEED MUCH EXTRA EQUIPMENT!!!I have read some other reviews claiming you need to spend hundreds of dollars for all this other stuff. One person claimed you need 300$+ to simply get started, and I have to say that simply isn’t true. As a audiophile and recording artist, I have much experience when it comes to sound setup. Now, the main problem I have with these other reviews is simply the price range presented. Will you have to go above 100$? Maybe. But I bought higher end equipment for my other cardioid condenser mic and I think I almost topped 200$. Like I said, this is by going for some nicer things that are essentially… not essential.Now.What you will need of all you have is a mic and a computer is:1. USB Audio Interface2. Two XLR cables3. (Possibly) 48V phantom power supplyAnd that’s pretty much all you need for bare bones getting started. If you don’t have these, your mic will not work. Now, the phantom power supply says possibly simply because most USB audio interfaces automatically supply phantom power to a mic (usually delineated by a switch or button so you can toggle the phantom power). What is phantom power? It is simply the microphone needing electricity to function. Dynamic mics (the mics you typically see in live performances) don’t need phantom power. However, condenser mics like the AT2020 needs phantom power. Now notice how I said this is the bare bones. This is not ALL you need to get, it is simply the basics; the skeleton of your setup. You should obviously look into a mic stand, and a pop filter (which is a little mesh film to reduce the volume of “b’s” and “p’s”).Now for the cost. Two XLR cables can be bought for ≈25$ total. Add a pop filter for 10$, a stand for 10$, and a USB Audio Interface for anywhere from 40$ to 4000$. The audio interface is the one item on this list you really want to get right. What do I mean by get right? I mean take the most consideration when choosing your j terrace because there are so many different kinds with different bells and whistles that are helpful in a professional environment but aren’t necessary in a home studio. If all you want is a simple way to plug in your mic to your computer, there is a Behringer USB audio interface for 40$ on Amazon. At the time of writing it’s currently out of stock but should be back soon. If you want to ensure quality and even get a free DAW (aka digital audio workstation; used primarily to produce music but is also used for recording in general) the Scarlett 2i2 Solo is a great steal. True, it’s 130$ but it comes with multiple programs used to produce music.I highly encourage anyone considering purchasing a condenser mic to do research farther than just looking at reviews. There’s a lot to know about, so look up, for example, “good quality USB audio interfaces on a budget” and you will find a whole community of people just like you dedicated to finding affordable and sustainable audio solutions.I hope this was helpful!!!
