Camera is great. Shell of camera, not so great.
I was extremely happy with these cameras. They work better than some of my more expensive cameras.... BUT I’ve had them out for maybe a month and the back of this one broke off. I have no idea how or why. It was mounted on this pole, we had a few days of rain, and the next time the ground dried enough for me to go check them, it was broken and dangling. Now my pictures are lopsided because it’s impossible to Mount straight with only one side of support. Everything else about the cameras has been wonderful.

Great glasses!
Great glasses...I replaced the original lens with my prescription lens. Battery life really good with minimal use. I carry a small battery if I need to. Audio is good the volume is adjustable from your phone and it can be loud. Style fits my face. I ordered another glasses for a colleague and that fitted her face well. I would recommend this if you hate wearing in ear bluetooth headset. I listen to audio books and music. You can hear when alll notification come through and answer you phone by clicking on the glasses. I would say to anyone to read and follow the instructions for the use of the glasses and you won't have an issue with its function.

Unpacking and Testing my new v50 Pro
I want to start this by saying I purchased this camera to make training videos and to record our travels in our travel trailer. Tons of extra adapters, even a wrench to loosen and tighten the thumbscrews that hold the attachments to the camera case housing. I will principally use the Black Frame skeleton housing that came in the box, (not water proof) to do most of my shooting. While the camera is in the water tight case, you don’t get any audio. Charged the two batteries. I assume the batteries already had some charge because it only took about 30 minutes to bring them both up to full capacity. The only additional purchase was a Samsung 64GB class 10-3 micro SDXC card. 100MB Read, 60 MB Write. Works great. I did format the card in the camera before I used it. Inserting and removing that small Micro card is somewhat of a pain for me because I have large hands. I found it easiest to face the LCD screen toward me and then push with my finger nail to remove and insert the card. There seems to be a small gap on that side of the camera, making it easier. I took day time test videos in all the following modes. 4K@ 30fps, 2.7K@ 30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720@ 120fps. All at Codec H.264. I liked what I saw in every mode. I had been using 1080p 30fps with a borrowed Gopro hero4 Silver and I will now probably use the 1080p 60fps in the V50 for my training videos to give me more room on the memory card. Besides, the 1080p@60fps looks GREAT. However, I’m still going to use the 4K. Tried the different lens angles as well. Of the four FOV settings for my training videos, I liked the wide and medium settings the best. Hooked the camera via wireless to my phone, worked great. Be sure you pair to your phones wireless first, then add the camera in the app. Checked the remote control, it also worked to start and stop recording. The touch screen displays the wireless and the RF connection to the remote with a simple finger swipe from the top down to the bottom of the screen. Icons appear white when off, dark when on. I assumed the reverse at first when I was playing with the settings. Seems backwards to me. I was able to figure out all the camera settings by just playing and testing. I did however review the manual after I had mastered the camera. Sort of ass backwards, it’s a guy thing. Anyways it covers all the settings. Do yourself a favor and download the manual from the website and print it in color on 8.5x 11 paper. Much easier to read than the small fold out they include with the camera. When I took my first video, I reviewed it from within the camera ( I did not use any case). The audio from the small recorder, in playback mode is not good. At first, I thought there might be a problem but after reviewing the video on my laptop, it was great. Loud and very clear. I did however go into the settings and boost the microphone setting to 100%. Recorded pictures are saved in the .JPG Format. The recorded video is saved in the .MOV format, which can be played by Microsoft’s Windows Media Player, apple’s Quick time and the free VLC Media Player (www.videolan.org). The LCD screen is a quick way to navigate through the menus and making selections. To protect the lens, I would like a plastic lens cap added to all the other goodies that came in the box. Only because I will not be using the water tight case all the time. I think I’ll look for some type of side open case for a bit more protection than the skeleton housing provides, and audio functionality.Low light testing, in my opinion, was actually not as good as from the borrowed Gopro hero4 Silver, but acceptable. But considering the fact I don’t plan to shoot at night, the V50 pro fits my needs exactly. P.S. the image stabilization was great. It allowed me to hand hold and walk around in my back yard while I was testing, rendering impressive results. The closest I could get to an object was around 8 to 10 inches and still be in focus. I have not played with the time laps yet. Single pictures came out OK, but I have a nice Canon DSLR for that purpose. Hope you found this information helpful.

Image stabilazation
I recently bought this after having first bought the version without image stabilization. I thought it would be worth the savings, but I found that at least half of the photos I took were too blurry so it ended staying in my bag. I upgraded to this lens and have been so glad I did. I recently took photos at a concert where the lighting was terrible. This lens came through like a champ. Almost all of my photos were tack sharp and I was able to get some amazing close ups. The bokeh is incredible. It was worth the extra money to get image stabilization. I just wish I had bought it first and skipped the 70-200 without the IS.

Checking out owls and bat's in my backyard is fun
I purchased this for a few reasons, one i always hear an owl in our backyard and wanted to check him out. We also see a bunch of bat's out there. Two, using it for camping is helpful as well.Anyways, the way these work is it's a camera and a screen. The screen shows you what's on the camera and the camera has a focus lens on it that you twist and focus the image. The zoom is pretty decent for what it is but if you are expecting super crystal clear quality you probably won't find it. The problem is IR only goes so far so you can't see clear across a football Field. Maybe a quarter or so of that which is still pretty far. You can definitely see up a tree so if you're like me and trying to see an owl in a tree you can absolutely do that. You can adjust the power of the IR LEDs as well and zoom in probably about 150 ft with pretty good clarity. It came with a nice case as well and an SD card. It does take a lot of batteries though which is the only drawback. Other than that it it's a really solid product in my opinion. I've used it about 4 times in the past two weeks.

Amazing images from such a tiny device
The $130 V50 Elite gets 5 stars for sure, despite these few nits:- no lens cap for the underwater housing- no lens cap for the camera itself, so likely to get scratched in the future during transport- I don't think one can get to video settings (e.g., dive mode) when the camera is in the underwater housing (but I need to verify there's not a fancy key combo to do this.)no easy place to attach a lanyard or wrist strap- Requires a review to get the extra attachments- Each battery (new) only lasts about 70 minutes, OK but not great.- Too much plastic packaging: no need to put every attachment in it's own baggie: save the effort for customers to un-package and save the waste too!- Attachment on top of box I think is useful, but a bit hard to remove from the cardboard box.- A big jump in price over the lesser modelsBUT:- Wow what a deal!- Great quality in a tiny portable package- Lots of great accessories (but not all) do come right in the package- It acts a s a wifi server which your phone connects to (thus un-attaching from the Internet) but the phone apps seems fine and useful. (No tried much yet.)- Wrist control unit (connecting via Bluetooth) seems to work fine with voice commands (but no PAUSE/RESTART command)- I've taken this down to 60' depths twice and 30' another couple times and no sea water has gotten in!- Can charge both batteries at once.- Image quality seems sharp- the focus/lighting adapts within a couple seconds to new views/changes.

Lots of fun features, but - wow - a challenge to l
When I lifted this out of its box, I was impressed by the packaging and I loved the color of it. The "8K" notation was intriguing. Then, I tried to use it. For nearly an hour. The instructions were well-illustrated, but still confusing. For example, the shutter button also serves as a navigation button. The power button seems to serve dual purposes, too. Finally, I figured out how to take a few pictures. The quality was fine.I also recorded three videos. Once I figured out which buttons control which functions - NOT easy - the videos were pretty good quality, too.Where I think this camera shines is: It includes three games (Tetris, Snake, and some push-box game that was new to me), and they're amusing and surprisingly easy to play. This camera also plays MP3s. The sound quality is pretty good... better than I'd expected from a kids' camera. It also has a rear/back lens as well as a front one, making selfies super-easy. The fill light is a nice addition for low-light settings, too.And then there's the large number of cute, colorful image accents and frames, automatically adding fun and funny elements to your photos.Anyway...Kind of frazzled, I handed the camera (and instruction manual) to my husband. He seemed to think that he could figure it out faster than I could. Not that I was irritated by that, mind you. ;)After 20 minutes, he was able to take a picture and play games, but couldn't figure out how to access the video option. (Yes, I felt smug for being more persistent and able to record videos.)My point is: This camera looks like several others I've tested, and one I've used happily for over a year. However, the controls on this aren't like any of my other cameras. In fact, they seem counter-intuitive.Maybe a child will figure this camera out, quickly. Or maybe they'll default to playing cute, full-color games with sound, already built into this camera. As a toy, it's fun. As a working camera...? I'm not so sure.If I were to pick up that camera again today, I'm not sure I'd remember when to push which buttons to use the features (photos and videos) that most interest me.It'd be a five-star camera for the many features it includes, and it's pretty to look at.However, I was between three- and four-stars because those features and the controls seems too complex for a child to figure out.

Wonderful product, but overpriced.
I had originally purchased this case with foam. Save your money-the foam is just not practical. It works "somewhat" for a while, but loses its shape. It is also much more difficult to work with. I purchased the TrekPak separately. It was crazy expensive, especially for what I received. Having said that, it is a great system. It is incredibly easy to install, and makes for a protective and sensible lens case. Everything just looks better with TrekPak, I have spent as much on the case as I would have a very cheap lens. When, however, I'm carrying ten thousand dollars worth of lenses, I don't have to worry. It is waterproof, dustproof, and almost bump proof. It is an expensive, yet practical solution!

Why did I wait so long to replace the old MS Lifec
We're not big on zoom meetings (and such.) So 'ye olde' life cam was good enough. Well, for professional reasons, we found ourselves needing better quality video. So I shopped around, read reviews, and decided to give this webcam a try - it seemed to be a good price/features choice.Given that we had, it wasn't too hard for us to be impressed. The difference is startling and we already received compliments on the video quality. However, be warned, the quality can have a downside. Our desktop and webcam are in the family room - its wider field and better image quality means the background stuff (i.e. mess) is much more noticeable so we now need to take time to straighten up before starting a video session. While some reviewers report auto focus issues, it hasn't been an issue for us. My one complaint is the camera lens privacy cover - while it is a great idea is functional is seems awkward and I'm always worried I'll break it or smear the lens. Can't comment on its built in mics because we don't use them - we rely on our headset's mic. Other than that, it get a thumbs up for family and friends.
