Magic TV
My son refers to this as the magic TV. We displayed this on our light wall with our blackout curtains closed. Very cool. Very impressed. We bought another.

Neko Mimi Modo!
If you're looking at these, you're obviously a fan of neko mimi (kitty ears) and the cuteness content of these headphones is definitely up there. These are very obviously imitating the Razer Krakken Kitty headsets but for a smaller budget. So, no question, they're cute, but are they good headphones? Well, the answer is that they're decent, but they're not great and I think they're a little overpriced. When you first open the box, instead of being greeted by kawaii neko mimi headphones, you get a pink Edifier G2 headset with two stick-on kitty ears. There is no template, not guidance, not even a recommendation in the manual for how to get the ears attached evenly so that they actually look good when you're wearing them. The only consolation for you if you dork up the placement on the first try is that they give you a second set of counterfeit 3M double-stick pads to try again. (And yes I said that the double-stick pads are counterfeit - the product number on the backing does not match the actual material). For some weird reason the windsock was not installed on the microphone when it arrived. Talk about some assembly required! And man it was not easy to get on either. I eventually resorted to taking a pair of electronics tweezers to force the sock opening apart just enough to get over the lip of the mic.So once you've got your decorative feline auditory assistants in place you're basically ready to go. Plug these headphones into a USB socket on your PC and Windows will instantly recognize them and probably switch to them automagically. The inline control adjusts volume and lets you turn the LEDs on and off, and that's basically it. The LEDs change color randomly but can't be controlled (no not even if you download and install the Edifier Gaming Center software that's dated 2019 but makes you reboot your computer in order to install like it's the 1990's or something). The claim of having 7.1 surround is complete and utter nonsense. I'm pretty sure they put that in the product description because the Kraken has that in its product name. Windows only recognizes them as a 2-channel sound device. If you've ever used a proper pair of 7.1 channel headphones you won't be trying to convince yourself you can hear a significant difference between the surround and surround back test tones - it's crazy obvious. So are they good stereo headphones? Again, they're decent. Sound reproduction has some inaccuracies - there seems to be some frequency pumping and I'm pretty sure what I'm hearing is clipping and some high-frequency roll off. They don't sound bad, precisely, but they aren't going to please an audiophile. The mic is actually pretty good. I'd say it's the highest functioning component on this headset. My voice comes through very clear. Are they comfortable? Surprisingly yes. They've got good head cushioning and they don't pinch too badly. The Razers these are imitating have gigantic gel-filled ear-cups and are specially designed for people who wear glasses so they don't press your stems into the sides of your head and cause fatigue. No such animal here, but the compromise is that the pads are thin enough that they naturally envelop your whole ear. This and their light weight cut down on fatigue, but not as well as the real thing. Conclusion: These are a nice low-budget alternative if you just absolutely have to have some neko-mimi headphones, however the Razer Kraken Kitty which these are imitating is leagues ahead of these in terms of quality and design. At twice the price it should be. These would make a great but pricey gift for a child (just make sure there's someone there to help her get the ears on straight - and the windsock - there's no way I can see a child getting that thing on by herself). If you're wondering if you should buy these or save up for the Krakens, save up for the Krakens - you'll thank me and yourself.

Best HD POV camera to date, perfect gift for the a
I've had the opportunity to use this camera for a few weeks now, excuse my grammar.Ill start with the case, I'm still waiting on, "the cage" which I intend to use more than the waterproof housing. The waterproof housing is really well designed and allows for flawless audio recording with it on. How they were able to do that was pretty spectacular. Voice command works well as long as you speak clearly and don't have high noise or wind. What I love about this Garmin and the other two generations of Garmin cameras, have been the recoding on/off toggle switch. You eliminate the gopro selfie face or always relying on your partner to double check if it's on or it's recording. With the toggle switch you have 100% certainty you're recording. The housing uses Gopro style mounts. The Ultra camera has a high sensitivity touch screen that will work with the dive housing. It took me a bit to get use to, it does work well. It obviously has it's limitations but give it a chance and you'll learn it works just fine.Video Quality compared to a Hero 4 BlackIt has all the same resolutions and frame rates as the 4 black. I do believe the sharpness is a bit better with the Ultra, I haven't been able to confirm if its due to the lens or just less compression. All most always I shoot with the Pro Settings Enabled. For filmmakers and photographers this is known as .RAW. To most the image looks boring and flat. With these settings enabled you're actually allowing for the most amount of information to be stored on each frame, whether it's a photo or 120 frames per second on the slo mo option, It gives you the most dynamic range to edit afterwards.High sensitivity GPS, bluetooth, ANT + sensorsOk this is where the Ultra really sets it self apart from any other camera. App developers, Third party software and "Gopro back" add ons have added unnecessary bulk and complexity to the competitors camera. The Ultra 30 has it all built into this small package. It has a 10hz gps, (10 recordings a second, elevation, speed, G-forces, etc.) Recently I used the Bluetooth to pair my Sena 20s microphone to the Ultra. Again it was a flawless connection with ease of pairing. No additional software or bulky add ons. ANT+ sensors, If you're familiar with Garmin fitness products you'll know they have a plethora of sensors for running, cycling, aviation, racing, etc... I can't get over how easy it's been to pair my heart rate to the camera, it's really taught me a lot about myself when debriefing flights.Battery lifeAs you may expect this camera is working considerably harder than most cameras on the market. If you're running the GPS, have sensors connected, and constantly looking through the viewfinder, you're going to burn through this battery. Every one will have different experiences on battery life with this camera. I tend to be in the 1 hr to 2.5hrs range. I'd like to point out again that I'm using the view finder quite a bit, I use the GPS constantly and will have my heart rate paired up as well. I switch back forth between having the voice control on or off. It's a great feature when you have your hands tied up. A couple examples I've used it for; Mountain biking, and shooting with a 3-axis gimbal.I'll come back and try and brush up this review from time to time, but for now I can't see why you would even consider the Gopro 4 black over this. Same cost, much more features built into it.

Great sounding earbuds but some issues
These Bose Sport Earphones are supplied in a branded box along with two pairs of silicone earbuds, one small and one large to compliment the medium ones fitted. The is also a storage/charging case, a USB to USB-C charging cable, a quick start guide and safety booklet. This is a review of the black earphones although other colours are available. The Sport models are more compact and cheaper than the Bose Quiet Comfort alternatives but do not feature active noise cancellation. The headphones and case have a real feeling of quality expected from Bose. The case is charged via a USB-C socket and charges the headphones inside. They are claimed to last around 5 hours and this seems about right although it is dependant on volume settings. The case can charge the headphones twice more before it needs charging again.I have the Bose Connect App installed which recognised the headphones but then mad me install the Bose Music App to work with them. This seems rather unnecessary especially as the App was very basic with no ability to customise the sound that I could find. Pairing to my phone was easy however and the connect has been stable with no dropouts and an impressive wireless range. The headphones provide spoken prompts which I like and confirm connection and battery status when first worn. The headphones fit well without being too bulky sound is very good with a clear mid-range and treble and solid bass without being too boomy. To get the best bass it is important to make sure the correct size of silicon buds although these do not seem as sensitive as many other in-ear headphones to fit. They feel fairly secure in my ears when running or in the gym as long as I don't move too vigorously and have not fallen out yet. They are quite bulky but have a welcome lack of protruding cables or aerials. The microphone quality is good and fine for making and receiving the odd call but you do get interference from the wind if you are outside. The case is compact and provides good protection with four LEDs to show its charge status. The headphones are rated as IPX4 so provide protection against dust sweat and water splashes but they are not waterproof and are not designed to be submerged. If you do not require active noise cancelling these are a more cost-effective alternative to the Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds and are also more compact as well. They are still expensive though although the quality of the earphones and case as well as the overall sound help to justify this and it should also be noted that Bose customer service has a good reputation. It is frustrating though having to install another App, especially as this provides little extra functionality.Edit. I have dropped these to three stars as I have intermittent no sound out of the right-hand earbud on connection, which is strange as this should be the master. When I take them out the case sometimes I do not get the battery and connection notification with sound delivered via the left-hand bud only. I only managed to restore sound by forgetting and re-pairing the Bluetooth, not easy in a gym full of Bluetooth devices. This has happened a number of times. The firmware is up to date and I cannot find a solution so far. Also, the inability to skip tracks without taking your phone out is also frustrating. While I love the sound I am starting to get frustrated with these and have reverted to my previous earphones which work flawlessly.Edit. After a firmware update stability is restored and you can change tracks via gestures. It is not 100% bit works most of the time. These still sound great and their battery life is excellent so back to 4 stars.

Inexpensive and robust - best Ticwatch yet?
At less than $200, the Ticwatch E3 should be the easiest purchasing decision you ever have to make when considering a smartwatch, especially if you have an Android phone. One of the few watches guaranteed to receive Wear OS 3, the next generation of Google's smartwatch operating system, the Ticwatch E3 beats most of the competition in nearly every category, and I'm not being hyperbolic.I have owned a number of Wear OS watches, all but one made by Ticwatch. My most recent purchase was supposedly one of the top ones out there - and the Ticwatch E3 bests it almost everywhere. Battery life was probably the best of the Wear OS watches out there, and actually gives the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra a run for its money. The sleep tracking was much more accurate than the previous unnamed high end Wear OS watch I owned, and only dropped my battery by a few percentage points each night. It has a highly robust suite of native Ticwatch apps in addition to every app traditionally associated with Google, including NFC and Google Wallet to pay for purchases wirelessly. The list goes on and on so....I will make a list.Pros:- Amazing battery life. I can't state this enough. I get notifications all day long, I use the microphone to enter tasks and reply to texts and emails, take a phone call or two, and often use the timer. I charge the watch in the morning while I shower and get ready for work at 6:15 AM, and currently at 9:23 PM the watch battery sits at 63% - a huge leap over other Wear OS watches. This is with GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi on standby, vibrations on, and the Always On Screen activated. Seriously, check out the screenshot from the Wear OS app.- Sleep tracking that rates the efficiency of sleep, never misses a wakeup or bathroom visit, and I believe tracks REM fairly well. MUCH better than Foss....I mean, the other watch that I owned. Syncs sleep with Google Fit to put all of your data in one place and gives extremely detailed information within the Ticwatch Mobvoi app.- Lightweight. I barely feel this thing on my wrist.- IP68 rated for swimming. Yesterday, I swam in a lake for a good chunk of the day, including accidentally falling off of a paddleboard into the water. It allows for a touch lock mode to prevent the water from "touching" your screen, yet still responds when I turn my wrist to activate the display. Zero problems.- There is a mode that extends battery further with a low power screen that only activates when you turn your wrist. It is the picture with the red numbers. A leap ahead of the second LED screen that Ticwatch has on other watches.- Has a native app for recording the sounds around you, such as sensitive conversations that may need to be recorded (with consent of course).- The widest variety of exercise modes that I've seen outside of a Garmin. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't really exercise, and even I'm impressed.- FAST RESPONSE TIME. The Snapdragon 4100, combined with the 1 GB of RAM, makes this watch speed through every action and has no lag that I ever noticed.- Did I mention that it will get Wear OS 3?Cons:- I got used to the fast charging on my other Wear OS watch, and so the E3 charging feels slow, but it is probably just "normal." Nonetheless, I have never gotten annoyed by it.- The body of the watch is some kind of polycarbonate something or other, instead of the heavier metal materials that a few others use. Theoretically, this means that it is not as break-proof, but I haven't been easy on it and it's been fine for me.Those are all of the cons. Seriously. I love this watch and didn't expect to love it this much.

Problems with Win 7 audio drivers, but once resolv
I purchased this mic to use for screencasts (recording what's happening on my PC's screen while I talk about it). I set it up to sit on my desktop, approximately 2' away from me and used

Camtasia Studio 8 [Download

] and a free program called CamStudio to test it out. Both programs worked well with the mic and did what I'd hoped it would do - eliminated my need for a clunky, wired mic headset. The build quality of the mic seems excellent, and the compact design is fantastic! I love that it comes with its own carrying case and that it can be on a desktop or clipped to a laptop's monitor.KINKS IN MY SYSTEM: MUFFLED AUDIOThe included software: Cakewalk's Music Creator LE can be installed on one computer. You get 30 days to register it. I installed it and registered it immediately, but it would not allow me to put in my registration code, saying I wasn't the system administrator. I am, and my Windows 7 PC says I am, but alas, it wouldn't work. This software is optional, but I decided to install it prior to the microphone (per instructions) to try it out. Eventually I ended up uninstalling it.Soon after installing Cakewalk, I had a PC issue: muffled audio recording. No amount of system tweaking seemed to fix it. I was stumped. Then I decided to go to the Samson site and see if there were updated drivers for the mic. The generic ones installed were from 2010. No luck.I began reading online about 'muffled audio' on Windows 7 PCs. Somewhere I noticed a name I recognized: RealTek, which was a name associated with my speakers on my PC (RealTek digital audio). I went to the RealTek site and noted updated drivers for Windows 7 64-bit (2012), and decided to download and install them. I rebooted my PC and tested out the audio recording once more. Much to my delight, this solved the muffled audio problem!I did set the bitrate to the highest level for the best sound quality recording. Afterwards I tested out the mic using Camtasia and CamStudio, both worked beautifully with the Samson Go Mic!On my desk at a distance of about 2.5', this mic pics up my voice perfectly for dictation and screencasts. No hiss, hum, breath noises or distortion. Very clear and with the properly installed drivers for my audio - works perfectly with the USB 2.0 connection on my powered USB hub.CONCLUSION: BUY IT FOR GREAT RECORDINGSThis mic is a truly great if it's recognized and properly configured by your system. Impressively clear recordings, unlike any I've been able to obtain using a

Plantronics .Audio 655 USB Multimedia Headset

 or the mic on my

Microsoft LifeCam Cinema 720p HD Webcam - Black

.For the price, I don't think you can do better. It's compact, has great voice pick-up and audio recording clarity. Installation issues may occur, but updating audio drivers, using a powered USB hub connection and tweaking audio settings within the operating system should give you the quality you've been hoping for at a price that's right.UPDATE: 12/30/13Been using this mic consistently for a couple months and I'm liking it. It's a condenser mic, and doesn't filter out ambient noise as well as I'd like, however for an under forty dollar purchase - I'm still very happy with it. Cakewalk never has registered correctly with my system so I uninstalled it. I guess if anything, that's been the downside to this purchase.

Great first action camera, very good value
I was in the market for a tiny portable camera that I could take to amusement parks, snorkeling, and attach to my bicycle or motorcycle that could be waterproof and could take a little bit of a beating. I have never owned an action cam before and I read a little about Go Pros and the consensus was that most people probably don't need an action cam and would be better off with a rugged portable point and shoot. Also Go Pros are expensive for what they do. However, when I came across this more affordable brand on Amazon I decided to give it a shot. The first thing you notice when you open the package is all of the accessories this comes with. Many different types of mounts, straps, a cleaning cloth, 2 batteries, a waterproof case, and a remote watch. The remote watch lets you put the camera on a selfie stick or tripod and takes pictures or start and stop a video. The watch looks like it takes a standard CR2032 battery (which is included). As a first time action camera user it took me a little while to figure out how to put the mounts together. The user manual shows pictures of the combinations of mounts that you can use to attach to your bicycle helmet or handlebars but doesn't quite show how to fit the pieces together. It is not super hard though. I liked the size and feel of the camera. Getting it in and out of the waterproof case was also very easy. So far the camera is exactly what I thought it would be. It is a very simple camera that has simple features, simple menus, and is easy to quickly grab out of your pocket and take video. There is even a setting which immediately starts recording when you turn the camera on which is very convenient. It powers on and is ready for action in just under 2 seconds. Here are some random things to note:1) It seems that you have to turn on the RF signal which connects to the watch remote every time you turn on the camera. It does not save the setting as permanently on when you turn the camera off. That is why at first I though the watch was broken.2) Swiping down on the screen opens a quick menu to turn the camera sounds, microphone, RF for watch remote, and WIFI to connect to the app (black is on, white is off)3) The companion app you can download on your smartphone "Ismart Pro+" does not have any instructions. And the app itself is not in English but it is simple to figure out. Here is how it works. When you turn on Wi-Fi on the camera, the camera in essence is broadcasting its own Wi-Fi signal (just like you connect to Amazon Alexas at setup). You have to go into your smartphoness W-Fi settings and you will see the Akaso Camera's network and connect to it. Once connected the Ismart Pro app basically take over the functions of the camera. You control camera functions from your phone. The one big positive of this is that you will see the photos or videos you just took on a much larger screen. The negative is that your phone has no internet connection while connected to the camera. Because of this, I don't think I'll use this app much at all.4) The side of the camera is where you insert your micro SD card and there are also a micro HDMI and mini USB slot. None of these slots have a cover and are exposed. I think because of this I will keep the camera in the waterproof housing most of the time. It seems to serve as a protective case. The only negative to this is you won't be able to use the touchscreen to control any actions. I haven't noticed the picture quality being any less in the case but I haven't looked extensively.I think this is a great entry for me into the action cam market. I will try and follow up on my review after my summer trips and a few bike rides. Now to figure out where to store all these accessories.

Decent low profile camera. Take it virtually anywh
The media could not be loaded.

For its size the SJCAM C100+ Small Action Camera is worth the cost. It can fit in most any small space, even a normal tripod. It takes decent photos, yet the videos have a wavering effect that I do not care for. That and the microphone does pick up a lot of noise with no noise cancellation. The SJCAM C100+ Small Action Camera does need its own remote though. Never can tell when it is on, as it seems to be off more than it is on. The battery life I was unable to judge because it varied so much that it was not reliable for my uses. A person can run only so many apps for this or that, and seems every maker of a camera thinks they need to run their app.I have an older well-known action cam on the left side of a recumbent trike. I set the settings, even time lapse if I want, and it is saved. Press a button up top, it alerts me with a tone and red LED, and it does its thing. When it runs out of battery charge it also alerts me with an audible and LED tone.SJCam vibrates. Unless you are wearing it and not subjected to road vibration, maybe then this is for you. As a recumbent trike rider this is not a user-friendly camera. In the attached video I ran a section of video across three different cameras. Two of which just came out, and the other was a 6 Black. None of the newer cameras could touch the quality of video and sound - none. Would like to meet one that can rival the gp6 camera.Mounted the SJCAM C100+ on a MInoura camera mount on the right versa bar on my trike. On a Gp6 I get no feedback through the mount, then too it is a heavier camera. The SJCAM C100+ is small, has no noticeable weight - could even be used as a pendant as it is that lightweight.C100+ defaults to Video Mode. I would of liked to changed it to photo mode, as I never really know when the camera is taking a video/photo or not. It vibrates for everything, On, Off, Recording, Stopped Recording, and guessing before the battery dies. Without a remote or Apple Watch app, there is no telling what this mini-cam is doing. With the app on the phone (iPhone in my case) the camera can be controlled. But I have a virtual reality game running, music through bone-conducting headphones, an app for a 360 degree camera, an anti-lock on a tracker, and I also have to run a camera app too? Seriously? It does have a Fast Record option, which is good to a point, yet makes it more difficult connecting the camera to a smartphone app. I do not like having to babysit a phone app while I am out riding around obstacles, other people, or in traffic. Also need reliability. I the past month I missed out on so many recordings because I thought it was on. There is no rear facing status LEDs, only a vibrator mode. This is a situational camera. It has its limits. It is decent, but do not expect outstanding videos from such a small package. Maybe the video wavering is caused by the image stabilization. Was one area I tried to turn the C100+ on, but only found out later the camera never came on even though it vibrated. Had cycling gloves on. And like I stated, one should not have to babysit their cameras to be sure they are working. All photos were taken from video frames. Was using five different cameras over three riding events. Took the best for the review. Would have liked to show how well the SJCAM C100+ did on a woodland trail, but... the camera was off more than it was on. I doubt the stabilization would have made much difference since the trail was packed soil and rocks; probably too rough for such a small camera.Lots of accessories came with the camera yet trying to get everything back into such a small case was not easy.

Decent quality for a kid action camera, sturdy, me
This a fun gopro alternative for kids. First thing about it is that is is pretty well built. It comes with a ton of different accessories. The camera does a good job with capturing pictures and video. If comparing them to a more expensive sports camera you are not going to be getting that level but it still gives you decent pictures. When taking motion videos, the quality is pretty decent. I would say the video quality varies depending on the time of the day. During the day it looks like an iphone 5 quality video I feel like. The closer you are to the night the quality of the video goes down due to lack of sunlight. There is no night vision on this device that I can tell so the video at say dawn starts looking like those 90s video camera. It will be better to use during the day. When wearing this device make sure you secure it properly. I would say that to make sure you press and seal the clamp well before you put this on a bike or into the water. It has a lanyard so you could wear this if you wanted to. I do feel for the best result is to put this onto your helmet as lanyards tends to turn around and get tangled. The case is water proof. It has several buttons on the outside as well that line up to your camera so you can be sure to have full access to the camera. The case is a bit easy to scratch up but it is pretty protective. The inside options are pretty kid friendly. It comes with different filters as well as some games to keep entertainment going. It comes with a 32 GB micro SD card which can hold several hours worth of video. I did do a test to verify the memory card memory and it is the correct memory. I am unsure who the manufacturer is for this. This thing can go under water about 30meters. It is definitely great for those pool parties or beach days. The sand does tend to stick to the buttons on the case due to being silicone but easy to just wash those off. The microphone is pretty good. You get clear voices but you also get some ambient noise during action shots. It is to be expected. The pink color is pretty bright. I would say it is definitely lighter than what is shown in the picture. It utilizes a micro USB cable to charge the device as well as transfer the video and pictures into your computer. I would recommend getting a card reader to make transfer faster. It does take time to transfer a full memory card if you are using micro USB. It comes with all the attachments needed but installation for the device varies depending on where you want to put them. It gives you the basics to install without needing to drill and such. It runs on a 1000 mAh battery that you need to install once you get it. The charging time varies between two to three hours. I usually just let it charge overnight. After running it a few times to calibrate the battery, it stays on for about four hours with turning the device on and off. I never had a chance to run it continuously. It can continue to work with an external battery plugged into it if you have that but you will not be able to have the protective case on it. The carrying case is what wowed me a bit. I was surprised it gave you such a strong carrying case. You can put all your accessories and tools without worrying about it getting crushed in your bag and such. Overall I think this is a pretty good camera. It is kid friendly, allows you some cool action shots, and is something you do not have to worry about a kid dropping here and there. The video quality is pretty decent with the right lighting. You also get funny pictures with filters that you can use on the camera itself giving your kids a fun creative time.
