Nice unit... Can fog in humid conditions, but it will acclimate quickly if you wipe it, like all lenses... I'm sure you can buy some liquid for that, too. The tripod is a bit small but I like it because it will fit into small places, and fits in the case easily.... Just turn it so 1 leg is under the front of the unit. The focal knob is extremely accurate... You can get extremely clear images from this monocular. I bought the 3 piece deal with the smaller monocular and "phone grabber"... These work functionally and should work with all or most phones... Mine is an iPhone6... I took a fairly good picture of an osprey from about 200feet with the mini-monocular from the 3 piece package deal. Looking through the large monocular produced an incredible image of the bird from 200 feet... From 30 feet you can see a bird's eyes quite closely. After about 250-350 feet you would need something more powerful in my opinion, depending on your objects. I haven't rigged an easy way to take good photos through the large Polaris monocular yet, but have managed to get a couple good photos - it leaves me a bit thinking that a high powered camera, which is more expensive than this, might be fun if to have - but I'm very happy with this unit and its $70 price point, $104 with the added toys I think it was.

Love my Polaris monocular. I have very poor vision in my right eye so got the monocular for my left eye. This is great for viewing wildlife on our land and checking to see how far the Beaver pond has encroached on our property.
