I had awhile back bought one of these and it had nothing to compare to this camera. I can use it while driving for protection and hikes it really stabilizes the picture/movie action. While GoPro is the head of the leading business in these, for the price and functionality, it's very much worth the price in comparison.

The AKASO EK7000 Pro proved to be a reliable budget action camera. I used it in my trip to Oman and took some under water videos and shot some images. The picture resolution is good and I am happy with the outcome, however it seems to be lower than GOPro.

Great value for the money. I was thinking about getting a GoPro but so glad I got this one. With all the accessories that is included you can’t go wrong. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a budget action camera or something for your B-rolls.

Every action camera that is NOT a GoPro gets compared to a GoPro. The only GoPro camera that I have ever owned was the Hero and I ruined it when I didn’t have the charging portal completely closed when I took it into the pool. You won’t have that problem with the EK7000 Pro, the waterproof casing is very easy to put on and remove. When the waterproof case is on, you can use the many accessories that come with this action camera, which is just like the accessories that GoPro uses. If you need more than what is provided, you can get off brand items for a fraction of the cost of buying name brand (GoPro). I am not knocking the GoPro Hero but my biggest complaint with it was not being able to really see what I was filming as the model I had was just a cube. With the EK7000 Pro, the rear touch screen lets me see what the camera sees so I know where to point it. I have played with this with and without the case and I am very impressed.I wanted to use this camera with a gimbal so I had to get an adapter to mount it (a $12.00 investment), which mounts without the waterproof casing. If you are not familiar with a gimbal, I really suggest checking them out. While the Akaso cannot be blue-toothed into the gimbal, I can start and stop recording by using the included remote control and take pictures as well. The remote is so simple to use, only two buttons, and it comes with an adjustable (Velcro) strap to wear on your wrist. I downloaded the recommend app, iSmart DV, but haven’t really played around with it too much but I will update this review after I get used to it.I did a lot of online research to compare action cameras in regards to cost, usability, and construction and there are a lot of reviews that gives this camera the best ratings for “not a GoPro action camera” and that was the prime factor for me purchasing this.The shipping was a lot quicker than I was anticipating and I had this delivered within a week. It is very well packaged, nothing scratched or broken. I don’t make movies or post to YouTube or live stream videos so I didn’t need to spend a lot on an action camera. Having said that, I believe this camera will hold its own against a lot of the more expensive cameras and you won’t go broke buying it. So far, I am very impressed.

Bought this because I wanted an action camera to document my trips, but I didn't want to dish out several hundred dollars for a GoPro. I'm glad I got this one instead! Not only is it great quality, it also comes with a ton of accessories, and all for a bargain of a price for such a good quality camera!
