I needed a tripod that would mount a camera near eye level for me (I'm 6'1") and this did just that. I was actually very pleasantly surprised at the quality of it. While not made of high-grade metals, it is very lightweight and sturdier than I expected. It has built-in levels and locks into place with ease. Adjusting is a bit clunky, so it takes a bit of playing around to get the position you want.

I purchased this tripod just to have the option to take photos without requesting help. I wanted to capture everyone in group photos and myself when I travel or hike alone. For the price and the basic functionalities I need, it works good, but it's certainly not outstanding quality.The remote paired instantly with my Android phone, setup is very easy. It's small, easy to hide it in my palm so it's not visible in photos. You really need to take care to turn it off after use, the battery dies fast otherwise.The tripod fits my Moto G smartphone perfectly with the bumper case on (I had several generations) and has decent stability. The head swivels around it multiple position, but depending on the weight of the phone, some might not be very stable. As long as I make sure the terrain is flat and I adjust the legs properly, I have no issues with stability.The legs are flexible, easy to bend to the desires shape, but once bent several times I could never get them 100% straight again. It doesn't bother me that much, it's still as functional as ever.The range of the remote control is not that good and a couple of times I had to move the tripod closer to finally get some pictures. 30 feet is a gross exaggeration, maybe 10-15 feet is the range. But it's sufficient range for most of my needs.The tripod is quite sturdy, including the mounting part. I have carried it around in my backpack in multiple hiking trips and it looks just like new.

It was exactly what I wanted and were looking for I love it and happy with it and the price was a plus also.

Got this product for my kid when the comet was coming by. Ended up getting it set up and found a new hobby. Super easy to set up and use, even for someone like me who has never owned a telescope or used one at all in my life. Just need to find a bigger tri pod and ill be good to go.

You get what you pay for. My favorite tripod broke on a trip home from California & I don't have the funds to replace it at the moment so I figured I'd try my luck with this. It get's the job done, but it does feel very flimsy. I wouldn't trust it in a windy situation, nor would I leave it unattended for self portraits, etc, but it works when you need a stable surface for long exposures, moon shots, etc. For $16.99, it does it's done well holding up with my wear & tear.

It's awesome! I love all the different positions I can place my phone in to stand hands free! It's sturdy and just very functional.

Previously I used florescent 'soft box' style lights for both photography and videography. They worked well, but where way too big to leave set up all the time and took seemingly eons to assemble so I often just used available light, often not the best choice, or skipped filming altogether.For better or ill the nature of my business has shifted some, drastically increasing the amount of videos I'm going to need to produce. That lead to me looking around for a lighting solution that didn't take as much space and were quick and easy to set up.Enter GVM. I bought one of their two-light sets and so far have been absolutely thrilled by the results. The lights are incredibly bright and versatile -- I'm no longer limited to one colour temp, are super-fast to set up, and the option to use batteries and the portability that brings means I have options I'd not even considered previously.Not all is heaven, of course. The phone app leads a little bit to be desired. First it is a bit of a pain to get it installed, at least on Android, isn't clear about how to get it running (you have to connect to a wifi signal the lights put out), and once you do it can be a bit fiddly and sometimes throws Chinese at you. It works well enough once you get things figured out, but it could be a bit better.That's a minor quibble, though, overall the quality, performance, and ease-of-setup and use of these lights makes them a must buy for anyone trying to do professional or semi-professional photography or videography.Highly recommended. I'm impressed enough with GVM that I've already bought another of their lights (an on-camera) and have plans to pick up more as my video needs increase over the next year.

I didn't get this on Amazon, but it has been an awesome setup for both replacing a tripod when I don't want to use one in the field and for scanning slides or even creating YouTube videos. 5 stars for the ability to take this thing anywhere as it is super lightweight. The hidden features like the dual accessory ports to attach an extra light or my phone is also sweet. 5 star product!
